Description
Jordyn Fairweather has worked hard to reach the top of the magazine world, but now she’s in trouble.
Younger stars are scrambling to steal her crown, and media companies are collapsing around her in the face of a new threat - the internet.
She’s come a long way from small town Beddo, where she obsessed over teen glossies until pushing her way into an internship with Sixteen magazine. But if Jordyn’s empire is going to survive, she needs to move fast and keep reinventing herself.
Spanning the late 90s and 2000s, Media Queen is a compulsive read with an outrageous main character. It comes with the essential ingredient that Jordyn demands of all her stories: juice!
Book No 2 in the #HollyAnna series – following Goodbye Newsroom – Media Queen can also be enjoyed as a standalone novel.

Nice quick easy to read book with a good storyline which I soon became absorbed in. Wish I had read book number 1 in the series but nevertheless this does not mean you cannot enjoy this as a stand-alone book.
After reading this book I will be reading the first one now. Bit back to front but hey ho enjoyed this book so why not.
Many thanks to both netgalley and the author for giving me the opportunity to read this book.
I really liked this book! I loved what a fierce character Jordyn was, I wish the ending wasn’t as abrupt and we learned more about Jordyn feeling and learning what the impact of her actions were on her family and her former friends. Very interesting to read about the rise of social media and how quickly everything moves these days, and well written.
This book was a quick, wonderful summer read. I loved all the characters in the story. You really became part of the book and wanted to know how everyone would turn out.
Jordyn Fairweather had a goal to work as a writer, and spent her entire life working towards it.
Starting as an intern at Australia’s Sixteen, then moving to a cadetship, and finally deputy editor, she’s achieved the job of her dreams. Luckily for her, her boyfriend Goody hangs on, and the two set off to live a new live in Sydney. Things continue to change as she climbs the corporate ladder leaving people and publications in the dust. Jordyn’s story of fame and fallout, friends and frenemies is one easily devoured and brought me a series I can’t wait to keep reading.
