Dear Mrs. President

Having the first female Vice President of the United States is an important step forward for women and young girls everywhere, and something to be celebrated. But preschool teacher and children’s book author Ana Maria Medici wants young girls to continue dreaming even bigger than second in command – what if a woman became President? Something that now seems more possible than ever.

To help young ones continue to dream of what could be possible in their lifetime, Medici wrote Dear Mrs. President (March 8, 2021, ISBN-13 978-1735283166), an inspiring new book aimed for ages 3 to 7. In Dear Mrs. President, a child's letter to the first female President of the United States, becomes a symbol of hope and a touching tribute to all female leaders, everywhere. With no ambition too high, and no goal too large, Dear Mrs. President encourages kids to reach further, and dream greater.

Medici, who has a background in early childhood education, wanted to not only give parents a tool to help create meaningful conversations with their little ones about women in leadership, but also continue to help inspire girls everywhere to keep dreaming, and keep achieving.

“As a child, I can’t recall ever being handed a book where the main character was a female world leader,” Medici says. “I, like so many others, am thrilled that in 2021 the first female Vice President holds office. Yet, there is always more to reach for, always new goals to strive for, and I hope Dear Mrs. President keeps that inspiration going.”

ANA MARIA MEDICI is a children’s book author and former early childhood educator based out of San Francisco. Born to parents of Mexican and Bolivian descent, Medici is a first generation American and is dedicated to writing feminist and diverse children’s books that inspire little ones everywhere.
