Description

How do we make sense of our relationships — successes and failures, preferences and challenges, past and present? And after we make sense of them all, what do we do to increase the successes that we are striving to attain? Annette Kussin provides us with a guide to navigating this important aspect of our lives. In It’s Attachment! Kussin offers us a comprehensive overview of this dominant theory of human development and relationships in a way that gives us both understanding and practical ideas for constructive changes. She shows us the central features of the main attachment patterns that are present throughout childhood and adulthood as well as clear suggestions for how we might identify what pattern characterizes our own life. Thank you Netgalley for this advanced copy for me to listen to and review. I'm a marriage and child therapist so I was so happy to listen to this audio version about Attachment Theory. I've always been fascinated by Attachment theory and this author did a very nice job giving an introduction to it and applying it to our lives and relationships. I personally feel anyone having children should read this book as it would help you understand why you react the way you do to your child. Having a spouse, and or a child brings alot of past family issues to the surface. It can be good to be aware of what your dealing with.
Have fun
