An unputdownable story of murder, revenge and betrayal from international number one bestseller Jeffrey Archer.
THE CLOCK IS TICKING IN THIS ROLLERCOASTER RIDE OF A THRILLER…
In London, the Metropolitan Police have set up a new Unsolved Murders Unit – a cold case squad – to catch the criminals nobody else can. Four victims. Four cases. All killers poised to strike again.
In Geneva, millionaire art collector Miles Faulkner – convicted of forgery and theft – was pronounced dead two months ago. So why is his unscrupulous lawyer still representing a dead client? And who is the mysterious man his widow is planning to marry?
On board luxury cruise liner the Alden, a wealthy clientele have signed up for the opulence and glamour of a trans-Atlantic voyage. But the battle for power at the heart of a wealthy dynasty is about to turn to murder.
And at the heart of all three investigations lies Detective Chief Inspector William Warwick, rising star of the department.
Only Warwick's genius for deductive reasoning, his fierce intelligence and his occasionally rash bravery – combined with that of ex-undercover operative Ross Hogan, reluctantly brought in from the cold – can bring the criminals to justice, and put his nemesis behind bars. But can they catch the killers before it's too late?

Archer has written another great book. I enjoyed the plot and was pleasantly surprised throughout the book.
Chief Inspector William Warwick is a young DCI. Warwick and his wife are aboard a luxury cruise liner when he is asked to investigate a suspicious death. A new unsolved murders unit is set up in London and William is chosen as it’s leader. That leaves the death on the cruise liner and four cold cases to solve. True to Archer’s form, he does a magnificent job of developing numerous character studies in chapter after chapter. There are so many mysteries that you must pay close attention to who is doing what, to whom, and only guess at what is coming next. Archer is one of the best at delivering the unsuspecting at just the right time.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review. Archer does not disappoint! This book picks up right where the previous one left off and takes the reader on a wild ride across oceans and countries. Archer develops favorite characters, introduces new ones and delivers a plot that is anything but predictable. One you start this book you won't be able to put it down until the last page!
This book proves that Jeffrey Archer still has it. While there are four plot lines going on here they all come together nicely. This isn't the first story involving DCI William Warwick and it might be helpful to read the others first because there are characters and references to events from the past stories that are helpful to know. I thoroughly enjoyed this and he writes another with Warwick. Thank you NetGalley for the advanced readers copy for review.
law-enforcement, false-information, family, family-dynamics, fast-pace, friendship, art-fraud, art-theft, twisty, cold-case, undercover***** I haven't read Archer in a few years, and now I can't remember why not! Excellent tangle of a story! Set in several locations in 1988, the protagonists are all working for The Yard. The senior officer is DCI Warwick who is under a superintendent known as The Hawk. Lots of colorful characters on both sides of the law in a tense atmosphere with many deadlines. Superb storytelling that caught me up in its web and wouldn't let go! I requested and received a free ebook copy from Harper 360, HarperCollins via NetGalley. Thank you!
Another winner from Jeffrey Archer! Although part of a series, this book can easily be read as a stand-alone because the author includes details from previous books. Twists and turns are trademarks of this author and he does not disappoint in Over My Dead Body. Thanks to #NetGalley and OverMyDeadBody for this advanced digital copy.
