Description

“Whether making my heart melt or my head burst into flames, Annabeth Albert draws the reader in and keeps them captivated.” —Gay Book Reviews

The sexy Navy chief and his best friend’s adorkable little brother…

It’s petty, but Naval Chief Derrick Fox wishes he could exact a little revenge on his ex by showing off a rebound fling. His submarine is due to return to its Bremerton, Washington, home base soon and Derrick knows all too well there won't be anyone waiting with a big, showy welcome.

Enter one ill-advised plan…

Arthur Euler is the guy you go to in a pinch—he's excellent at out-of-the-box solutions. It's what the genius music-slash-computer nerd is known for. So when he finds out Derrick needs a favor, he’s happy to help. He can muster the sort of welcome a Naval Chief deserves, no problem at all.

Except it is a problem. A very big problem.

When Arthur’s homecoming welcome is a little too convincing, when a video of their gangplank smooch goes enormously viral, they're caught between a dock and a hard place. Neither of them ever expected a temporary fake relationship to look—or feel—so real. And Arthur certainly never considered he'd be fighting for a very much not-fake forever with a military man.

I love anything Annabeth Albert writes!

Need a sexy mm for a nice relaxing read? This book is absolutely perfect for just that! I devoured this book with all of its tropes! The fact that Annabeth was able to put so many tropes in one book is certainly the best thing I've read, it just pulled out all the stops. I love the whole grumpy/sunshine, only one bed, best friend's brother, etc. (yes, I can keep going, it's insane) I loved this book and I'm so excited for more!

And the best part?? It's a series!! And we get a sneak peak of Calder's story in the end of this book which I'm SO excited for!! Is it age gap?? I think so!! Silver fox, here I come!

Thank you to NetGalley and Carina Adores for the earc in return for an honest review.

Another hit out of the park for Annabeth Albert! I love her military men and this is no exception. A lovely romance dealing with the realities of navy life. I loved the work life vs. home life struggles and how seriously this balance was handled. It was also pretty dang cute with the right amount of steam and adorableness to keep me reading. Can't wait for the next one! :)

Sailor Proof was an absolute joy to read! I loved both main characters, Derrick and Arthur and the rest of the Euler family.
What started out as a fake relationship quickly morphed I to something so much more. I loved how Annabeth took an ordinary family reunion and made it extraordinary.
There wasn't much drama but this story didn't need it. It was great to focus in these two men and their relationship.
The author gives us a glimpse on the next in the series and I'm going to be on edge waiting for it!
