Since starting in publishing in 2005, Ekta has written and edited about everything from healthcare to home improvement to Hindi films. She became a freelance editor in 2011 and believes words have the power to change people and the world. A writing contest judge and magazine editor, Ekta also hosts Biblio Breakdown where she talks about the craft and offers writing exercises

Ekta reads at least one book a week (which will definitely go up when the kids go to college). She also manages The Write Edge (http://thewriteedge.wordpress.com) where writers can connect with her for editing help and where she showcases her original fiction, book reviews, and parenting adventures. When she’s not working on stories, Ekta spends time with friends, keeps up with the latest Bollywood gossip, and dances in the kitchen while she’s making dinner. She lives in Central Illinois with her husband and family. The Truth About Elves is her first book.
