Sweet and cute! This is a great basic guide for young kids (ages 3-7) to learn about caring for a dog. The photos and illustrations are bright, colorful, and engaging and will easily hold a reader's attention. The text is simple and clear and keeps the focus on the dog's well-being while making their needs relatable to young kids. Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!

A Dog's Best Friend is a wonderful book to teach young children about having a dog. It gives ways that young kids can help with their new pet and guidelines for interacting with dogs. It explains the care they need and boundaries to follow. Children will love seeing their favorite Sesame Street characters and pictures of dogs. I would recommend this for ages 4-6. Thank you Lerner Publishing Group and NetGalley for providing this ARC.
