This book is not out until February 2022, but I could have really used this for my daughter earlier this year. Instead, I will get a copy for when my son starts school! This story walks you through ways to make a friend. It is not told in a story format, but rather as a how-to. It starts at out with how to introduce yourself to others, and then ideas for conversation starters, and ideas to play together. All our Sesame Street friends are sprinkled throughout (looking at you Bert and Ernie!) I don’t care how old my kids get - there will always be a place in our house for some Sesame Street magic!
I love the bright photos and easy to read text. My kids liked the photos as well and enjoyed the easy to understand suggestions. Great book for kids to help with learning social skills and friendship building. Relatable and kid friendly. Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book early for an honest review.
A great addition to the Sesame Street series! This book gives children so many wonderful ideas, from ice breakers to activity ideas to how to be a good friend. This would be wonderful for children who are shy or nervous about meeting new people. Children will love the familiar characters and pictures of kids. Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing this ARC.
5 Minute Friendship starters is a how-to book for kids on how to make friends. This book would be especially helpful for kids who are about to start school and be socialized with new people for the first time. It would also be helpful for shy kids or kids on the spectrum who might have a harder time putting themselves forward to make new friends at school. The pictures and colors are vibrant and high-quality and what you'd expect from a big production like Sesame Street. Sesame Street does great work. Thank you to netgalley for a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
