Best Books Award Finalist!
Ten years ago, Courtney Morgan had somehow found the courage to escape a life of abuse and run. Now living a comfortable--albeit lonely--existence, she's determined to make the most of her second chance. But when a newcomer strolls into the diner where she works, a series of events lands her on a road trip from Arizona to Georgia. After she learns her travel companion has been given a terminal diagnosis and is returning home, Courtney sees this as an opportunity to pay it forward and help, like someone had once done for her. Yet, despite her good intentions, it seems fate is determined to put love and friendship in her path, forcing her to evaluate her own future and what she desires most. Offering forgiveness is hard, especially when that person needing it most is herself. And she's discovering the important things in life are about the people along her journey, not the destination.

I couldn't put this book down. It was intense in the the best way possible. So many feelings and so much love but also heartbreak. Thoroughly enjoyed
This is a beautiful and Poignant story. Wow Wow Wow this book takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions that have you in buckets of tears so make sure that you have the tissues ready because you are definitely going to need them and it completely broke my heart with everything that had happened and what they were going through but as the story evolved it puts everything in your heart back together in one of the most beautiful way possible. The characters and storyline pulled you in right from the start and kept your attention throughout and I couldn't put it down as it had you on the edge of your seat while turning the pages wondering what would happen next and what the outcome would be for them all and it was so well written and totally addictive. Kelly Moran is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention and going back time and time again to read her book's and I can't wait to read more book's in the future.
I Voluntarily Reviewed a Copy of This Book.
Kelly Moran is an incredibly gifted writer. I have read several of her books and each one is just as good as the one before it.
This an emotionally charged story rooted in tough topics just like Kelly is known for. It takes on the heartbreak of serious illness, a history of scarring abuse and the connections that heal people that would otherwise break under the weight of what comes their way. For anyone who as gone through these types of obstacles, know that Kelly has a way of taking you on a healing journey. It's not just for the characters of the story. It is also for the reader.
When the Leaves Stop Falling is a sweet and emotional at times times story about friendship, love, going home, and finding where you belong in the world. Courtney had a traumatic and abusive past, but started over when she was rescued by a wonderful stranger. When another stranger, Serena, comes into the diner she works one day, life starts over for her in a whole new way. They embark on an adventure across the country back to Serena's hometown, stopping along the way to do some sightseeing. They form a quick, but deep friendship and through Serena, Courtney meets Austin, her twin brother, who also ends up becoming an integral part of Courtney's life.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It was emotional, heartbreaking, thought-provoking and inspirational. I adored these characters and the bond they all had with each other. This author has a gift with words and story telling and I always seem to enjoy her books and this was no exception.
This is a new to me author and I really enjoyed this book. It was powerful and emotional. Well written and a really good one to read and enjoy.
