A small-town school is rocked by a shooter and the perpetrator is in the wind. The Sheriff calls the FBI for help. Tim McAndrews, new to the profiling unit, is assigned to the team sent to evaluate the site. When the evidence at the crime scene doesn't fit with a typical school shooting, Tim develops a theory that the unknown subject is an older man--an assassin, and maybe one of their own. But who would target highschool teens and why? Tim and the team must find out despite interference from a brazen news reporter, an attention seeking politician, and pressure from higher-ups in the FBI. As they follow the evidence where it leads, they discover an insidious motive for murder and villains they never expected.
Looking for a book that combines good old fashioned detective work with heart pounding intrigue and romance? Old Schoolhouse Road is the book for you. The characters are richly developed, the plot fast paced and fascinating, and the writing so well done, you feel like you are there and part of the team solving the crime.

This book was sent to me by Netgalley for review electronically. I enjoyed reading this book...so many red herrings...it was difficult discerning what would happen when...it was even more difficult to determine who was guilty of what...good guys? Bad guys? The main characters...intriguing...likable...some not so much...curl up in a comfy chair with a warm blanket...a cozy cup of tea...read and enjoy...figure out what is going on in this great novel. I can't wait to read the next one.
All I have to say is WOW. I couldn’t put this down. This book is riveting! I loved every second of it. Very well written characters and plot. Every detail flowed so perfectly as if you were there watching it unfold with your own eyes and a part of the action. So much suspense I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough!
Well, I wasn't too sure about this book, first off my kids both went to stoneman Douglas, second where my condo is I can see the school! I thought this book might bring back too many terrible terrible memories!! But the book went a whole different way! It still was a bit sad for me at times especially in the beginning! This book did habe great police work and suspense , intrigue, action, murder and a great storyline with plenty of twists and turns! I would definitely recommend reading this book! It was a great read! It might bring a few triggers to some so beware! I did enjoy reading it! It somewhat ends in a cliffhanger which I hate lol but it wasn't A bad one! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me! I can't wait for the next!
