Advance Praise

“A poet writing a posthumous biography of a horror- novelist colleague gets caught up in an investigation of bones found buried on the author’s property in Handy’s thriller. A mystery novel with a sympathetic protagonist whose apparent descent into madness makes her no less riveting.” (Kirkus)

“Lynne Handy has packed a steamer trunk of action and intrigue into this slim volume, which is equal parts mystery, romance, thriller, and parable. The lively adventures of Maria Pell in the North Carolina backwater are punctuated by poetry that is sometimes achingly lovely and often just plain ingenious.”

I liked this book. I think a different cover would be more better but that's literally my only criticism. It's a quick read (at least for me). It's the type of book that is fun to read in one go.

Not my usual type obviously I didn’t read the blurb properly never the less I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.A really dark and mysterious ghost story delving into the past, with a little romance thrown in which adds further interest a must read for anyone into ghost stories.

The Untold Story of Edwina was a very suspenseful read. I enjoyed wanting to know what would happen next and how it would end. This was a ghost story but mainly a mystery as Maria is asked to write the truth about Edwina by Edwina's nephew since she had an unfortunate passing. For a short story, I was very pulled by it.
