Wildwood Flower by Anne Lovett tells the story of Reverend David Wilder what happened in the past and present. A good story about coming to terms with life decisions. I liked the story and the characters, their interactions and dialogue. I will recommend this book. Thank you for allowing me to review this book.

An interesting story, full of emotions, sad, angry, painful, happy, mournful. You name it and it is there. David grew up in a family where his father had high expectations of his 2 sons. He owned a bank and expected them to join him. One did, but the main character David had no interest all all…much preferred to go fishing!
After a heartbreaking incident when David was still quite young, his wealthy father disowned him. Largely because of the fact that he still refused to be a part of the banking system and decided to become a priest. Both were angry and couldn’t reconcile their differences.
David’s life was not easy, nor was his livelihood as a minister in a small country church, but he always stuck by his goal of helping others. Was it out of guilt? Or? A good summer read, very well written and hard to put down. I recommend it.
