Description

Madison Mountebank, Meghan Markle’s alter ego, is back, and creating more havoc than ever.

Life as an also-ran, even in the most famous royal family in the world, wasn’t the life for her. Drastic action was required. It’s time for Madison to claim the position for which she was born. No second-tier seats for her; it’s all or nothing. But will she ever get what she really wants?

And what of her prince?

No longer the carefree and very Britannian royal bachelor, Harry could now outdo a Presbyterian minister fulminating in the pulpit. No more smiles for him. No more jokes. Life is deadly serious. And Madison has persuaded him to abandon ship, to forsake his duty to Queen and country and throw his lot in with her.

Together the Mountebanks shake off the soil of Britannia and set up camp in the land of the free. But things don’t turn out as they expected. Far from embracing new opportunities, they seem obsessed with what they have left behind. Rather than being glad to have abandoned a life they claimed to hate, they spend their time wallowing in bitterness and resentment.

And Madison’s halo is beginning to slip. The dichotomy between what she says and what she does in widening into a chasm. Madison’s diminishing champions have their work cut out to defend their heroine as the scales have fallen from more and more eyes. The time comes when she must stand and fight for what remains of her reputation.

Madison Mountebank, Meghan Markle’s alter ego, is back, and creating more havoc than ever.

Life as an also-ran, even in the most famous royal family in the world, wasn’t the life for her. Drastic...

A great read--it's hard to find good satire these days. After reading "Keeping Up with the Kensington's" I couldn't wait to start on this one and it didn't disappoint. Anyone who wants to laugh out loud at the foibles of pretentious and duplicitous phonies will love it. I look forward to the next installment.

This book is so funny I mean absolutely slap your leg hilariously funny! Madison Kensington it’s supposed to be Meghan Markle and harry Kensington supposed to be Prince Harry it’s all told from their dogs point of view and what a smart puppy he is. It covers most of the events that happened a little before and a lot after they left the royal family I was asked to leave rather. It is not only funny it seems most accurate. Madison is so jealous OK K Kensington which is Princess Kate and her relationship with the media. It also discusses the book deal which they claimed they had nothing to do with yet they had private details of what they eat for breakfast what do use it in the bath things the author could only know if he spoke to them and even talked about the deal with Netflix which they call Snotflix in The book. It all makes the one hilariously funny adventure. I can only hope there’s going to be another book about the Kensington‘s with their profound statements that really say nothing in the end. Her all inclusive but really non-inclusive persona who claims to want privacy but crates the spotlight end it all makes for one hilarious book a book I highly recommend! I was given this book by net galley and the publisher but I am leaving this review voluntarily please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate most of my review.

This was a great Satire novel, it was funny enough and the characters were what I was hoping for when I read the description. I enjoyed that I could read this book before the first book and still be able to follow this book, I enjoyed this book so much I purchased the first book in the Kensingtons series.

"And above all it’s not about ambition. The days when monarchs held so much power that their rivals would bump them off to seize it themselves are long gone."

The Kensingtons in Hollywood by Solanah Fane is a tongue in cheek novel about married royals who move to the US and relinquish their working royal status in order to do good in the world. They set up a foundation, give a tell all interview on US television and try to stick their noses in places they don't belong...US politics and tragedies to name two of them, all while pretending to be experts on everything. Of course, there is no resemblance to any former working royals intended in this hysterically funny novel!!!

Thank you to the author,BooksGoSocial and NetGalley for an ARC of this novel in exchange for my honest review. If you follow the royal family and enjoy snark aimed at the non working members, don't miss this one!

This book is absolutely an hilarious satire of the the American Royals. It takes real-time events and turns it into a funny, laugh inducing book. As a fan of the Monarchy, and dismay at how the American Royals are responding to and treating the true British Royals, it was an afternoon of giggles and tea. I have ordered book one because I enjoyed it so much,
Thank you NetGalley for providing this copyl The opinion in this review issolely my own.

A tongue in cheek book taken from the headlines of the tabloids. Guy, the Beagle, was amusing in his assessment of the things going on around him. Everyone may not agree with the author’s version of Harry and Megan, but you won’t be able to stop laughing and rolling your eyes as they put themselves in different situations not always in their favor.

Mischief Making Mayhem…
A sharp, amusing, tongue in cheek satire and the second in this series. Much mayhem and hysterical havoc ensues amidst Madison’s mischief making efforts and really - what of the Prince? Events may just conspire to bring about their own downfall. Genuinely funny, acutely and often painfully observed and with a cast of characters to make the reader scoff.

The Kensingtons in Hollywood is meant as a satirical version of the family drama surrounding the Sussexes with the British royal family. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this piece. It’s well written, entertaining and deliciously snarky. If the text could use some extra polishing (to remove the typos), I thought it was a very funny take on the situation. Of course, it’s a caricature, but when you see how the couple is making millions in this business of resentment, it’s somehow rather spot-on!

In summary, if you had to choose between reading Prince Harry’s memoirs and this tongue-in-cheek piece, pick “The Kensingtons in Hollywood”, at least you’ll get some fun and good laughs out it!

The Mountebanks are back (er, gone) and they have successfully ('ish) shaken off the stench of London and the royal family and settled for a best life in America. The are some issues that Madison insists Harry deal with to ensure the continued entitled life that is due to her, namely she needs to be part of the Royal's publicity events, especially if Kitty is going to be at them, and even though she insists that she and Harry need to be estranged from the Royals they certainly still need to pay for the Mountebanks lifestyle. As Madison continues to scheme to get the life she feels due to her, things begin to unravel more quickly than she or poor Harry can manage them. Not only are the Royals ignoring them, but the Americans are no longer enamored with them. The media is ignoring them, the movie stars are not including them, and the lucrative business deals are being rescinded. Harry is beginning to realize he made a horrible mistake, and Madison is realizing that being a princess is not really that big of a deal anymore.

This is a satirical book, and if you are star struck with the Hollywood Royals, you will probably find this book offensive. I thought it was hysterical and a great follow up to the first. I selfishly hope the silliness and media dissection of Meghan & Harry's life continues so this author has more material for future installments.
