Description
Meet the girl who’s “Most Likely to Make Everything Worse.”
TV writer Ellie Jenkins worked her butt off to put her nerdy, outcast teen years behind her. So there’s a certain delicious irony in that she works for a hit show about popular high school kids when she was So. Not. Cool. And now she’s been offered the promotion of a lifetime—if she attends her reunion. But Ellie’s memory of High School Hell isn’t nearly as traumatic as the reality . . .
No one at the reunion is what Ellie expected. Not her ex-best friend, who still has the ability to see right through Ellie. And not her secret crush, who has only gotten hotter, sexier, and way more complicated. The only way she’s going to survive this whole weird ordeal is by fixing her bad high school karma, kissing the boy who got away, and getting the hell out of Ohio for good. But Ellie’s discovering that in real life, she can’t just rewrite the script.

I really did find this book to be both entertaining and at the same time it made me think as well. in the story we have Elle who is working on a TV show, who is made by the head runner of the show to go to her high school reunion. She’s not really keen on the idea but he says that it’s her opportunity to become Cohen EP once she goes there.
When Ella returns to her hometown it really is not the experience or feelings that she was accept accept expecting at all. She finds that her best friend seems to be caught up in a toxic relationship and she herself finds herself wanting someone that she didn’t think she could have.
It really is an interesting way to look at how do you actually deal with your old feelings from high school and how do you adjust your thoughts about people that you thought you knew from many years ago. Relationships are well handled in the story and I found it very entertaining.
All in all this is a book that entertains as well as makes you think about your own feelings and reactions to things that happened in the past.

This is an entertaining book that is part romance, part Romy and Michelle’s High School Reunion, part bucket list, and part second chances of sorts. Ellie Jenkins is the center character in this narrative that sees her returning to her past for a multitude of reasons.

I really loved the premise of this book and the authors’ writing styles. It was so fun to learn about each character in a deeper way than you’d expect in a comedy. I would have loved if the format included “the list” through the book, potentially at the end of some chapters as a reference to follow along with. Overall, I loved the story and Ellie!

This is a fun and sweet book, I really liked the way the authors develop the story, Ellie our heroine has to attend her ten high school reunion, she is not very interested in going but her boss forces her to go to get promoted at work.
The story is entertaining, and I liked seeing Ellie with her friends from her past and the way they all evolved ten years later. Thanks a Netgalley for the ARC!

Ellie is now a write on a very popular high school-based TV show. But years ago, she was in high school and in that in-between group of not popular, but not, not popular group. Her producer finds out about her class reunion and thinks this would be a great idea to reignite Ellie's writing and if she goes the result will potentially be a promotion to co-executive producer. With the help of two friends, Ellie is given a list of things to accomplish with her high school classmates - based on what they were voted in high school. While home, Ellie first runs into her high school crush, Mark, and then her former best friend, Roxy. Ellie begins crossing things off her list with her Mark, but also while discovering that no one is the same as they were in high school. I very much enjoyed this book.
