Spirit River

It was a fun, fast read. It almost had a bit of a modern-day fairy tale feel to it. I'm not usually a fan of the love first site trope, but it was handled in a fun way that I enjoyed. The two leads were each distinct and interesting to observe. Tackling werewolves and witches at the same time was exactly the kind of stuff I like to see. The cast was interesting and well-rounded. I wasn't aware of this author until now. I'm going to have to check out her back catalog now. Thanks to NetGally for the ARC opportunity. This is a must-read for supernatural, romance fans!

This is my first time reading Erin M. Leaf, but it certainly won't be my last.

Spirit River is an entertaining read, mixing witches and werewolves; and once I started reading I couldn't put it down!

Sebastian River is a superstar rocker, with fame, fortune and a little bit of witch magic at his fingertips ✨️ However, River is alone in the world.

That is until he meets werewolf Gregor Eutimo. Gregor was dragged to River's concert at the last minute by his little sister, and even worse; he's in the front row. But he has a reaction unlike he's ever experienced before when he sees the rocker. And an encounter with River during the interval has him learning two things: his wolf recognises his mate and Gregor isn't as straight as he thought he was.

I must admit, I'm a sucker for mate connections and love at first sight, so this was right up my street. But Erin M. Leaf made Spirit River feel believable, and I loved seeing the bond form between them.

And this two together are HOT! 🔥🔥🔥 But besides that, their connection is well written and I could feel the love and emotional connection they share.

Despite this being part of a series, I could understand everything as a standalone, however I do want to read the other books in the series now.

There is MPREG in this book, which is a first time reading for me, and whilst I loved the scene where they created that life, I would have loved more details of the pregnancy, how River felt etc,. I felt it was a little skipped over, otherwise this would have been a perfect read for me.

I have never read a book by Erin Leaf but I definitely need to go back and start from book one because this one was AMAZING! I am partial to paranormal characters and just love this unexpected story.
