A Note From the Publisher
From an early age, Lesley Scott has been fascinated with the paranormal. At her childhood home in Scarborough, each family member experienced mysterious and seemingly supernatural occurrences. Perhaps because of this, she has been drawn to ghost stories and the unexplained. She now lives in South Yorkshire.

Marketing Plan
Silent Accusation evokes the feeling of a Victorian ghost story, while being set in 1980s London.
Written by an author with a background in psychology, and a keen interest in the paranormal and supernatural occurrences.
Will appeal to readers of Susan Hill, M.R. James and Shirley Jackson.

What do you do when a ghost decides to contact you via a book; what do you do? Why you get involved, of course! Only I do not think Peter was prepared for what was about to occur. The way this author wrote this story was so good. The reader could experience what Peter was feeling as his life began to unravel. If he tried to ignore what was going on around him, the spirits only grew bolder with their tactics. What an interesting way to write a ghost story.

Nowadays few writers have the ability or the inclination to write ghost stories and certainly not as a full length novel but Lesley Scott is the exception to that rule.
As I read this novel I had a picture in my head of the legendary M.R. James, in his sitting room, reading this to his privileged pupils at King's College or Eton.
There's great character development and a long buried mystery. The writing is engaging and there is a slow, subtle lead up to a shattering crescendo at the finale.
The author uses all the tropes of the golden age of ghost writing but still creates something new, innovative and utterly terrifying.

3.75. - When Peter, an up & coming stockbroker in the 1980’s, accidentally picks up an extra item, has no idea of the trouble and misfortune coming his way. A hectic but peaceful life turns upside down so he has no choice but to solve this mystery. Twisty and turny but very intriguing! The work stuff wasn’t interesting so I skimmed those sections. A great reminder of what life was like before nearly everyone had a mobile phone. Captivating story for anyone who wants to read something out of the ordinary! Recommended.
