I was able to review this book thanks to Net Galley.
The Secret Librarian Society Murders has an awesome concept going for it: having the ability to go inside books. As readers, I think we all wish we were able to do that.

What I loved about this book: the first line immediately hooked me, and I was excited to read it. The chapters were short and made It an easy (but fun) read. There was also LGBT representation which I loved. Lastly, even the bad guy in the story understood consent.

Things I didn’t love: the dialogue was a bit cheesy, and it was confusing at some points. The characters did some unrealistic things throughout the book. The characters were supposed to be college-aged kids, but it felt like what college-aged kids look like from the eyes of younger teenagers.

If you are looking for a YA cozy murder-mystery-esque book with a strong sibling connection, a magical library, and a touch of romance, this is for you. I think that lovers of “A Good Girls Guide to Murder” will enjoy this book.

I think this book is aimed at a younger audience than me, but it was still a great fun, light read. Anna is in a terrible mess after her brother's strangely inexplicable demise. In a library. Anna and her buddies set out to solve the mystery of his strange death amongst clues, libraries and books and mysterious librarians. Not really my thing but an enjoyable read.
