This was such a fun read, I wasn't expecting to like this as much as I did. Parisa(fc) and Malakai(mc) are both veterinarians and share buildings for their practices. They both have different methods of doing their jobs and immediately but heads due to differences in care for the pets in their care.

If you love enemies to lovers in the workplace, you will like this one. The workplace banter and fighting was enjoyable to read. I liked that the main characters didn't instantly get over their issues and become friends, but this was a very slow burn. I'm not always a fan of slow burns, but the tension, little moments, and romance before they got together were great. I liked reading about a Persian main character and seeing some cultural aspects in this book. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the love triangle with Dante. It was very obvious that he wasn't a real threat, so it seemed to be an unnecessary plot point. Overall this was so fun and quick to read, kudos to the pets that were their own characters lol.

This book was pretty good! It had similar premise of The Hating Game, which is one of my all time fav books! Love Unleashed is an enemies to lovers, slow burn, work related contemporary romance story! The tension between Parisa Hadid, a holistic vet, and Malakai Dixon, a traditional vet, is HIGH! I loved getting to see the tension and hatred moving to liking each other! My one and only critique is that when Dane, another love interest of Parisa, comes in, I'm gonna be honest I was MAD that he was considered for so long! Now, is that a writing thing? No! The storyline had dragged me in so hard that I just wanted him OUT OF THE WAY so that Kai and Parisa could be together! I also loved, like Elise Eliot's other book, Miss Indecisive, I really loved the addition of different cultures! It was a really fun read and I definitely recommend it to the enemies to lovers trope lovers out there!
I will be making a post to my Instagram @mandj_bookalicious soon!

I didn’t expect to enjoy this book as much as I did! A wonderfully funny, sweet, entertaining enemies to lovers story.

This was such and adorable novel that had me excited all the time. I am a huge enemies to lovers fan so that was the first thing I noticed and I can say it didn’t disappoint. The constant fighting and banter between these two added an extra layer of tension to the story that made it even more enjoyable. Also, the emphasis this story had about animal care and love is something that has to be recognized because we need more of this kind. It was heartwarming to see how much the characters cared for their furry patients and how they were willing to go above and beyond to help them. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romance where they start as enemies and are forced to work together, cute puppies, and a story that will warm your heart.

I adored this enemies to lovers story! There were a lot of strong (and strong willed) characters, a cute dog, and good family dynamics.

Parisa and Malakai are veterinarians who have practices right next to each other, but practice medicine differently which leads to a lot of tension. Eventually that tension turns to chemistry in a will they, won’t they romcom. Their banter is cute and witty, their support systems through friends and families add to the richness of the story, and their love for animals makes this a wholesome read!

As a vet, this book definitely caught my eye!
Still not sure how I feel about the propagation of holistic veterinary medicine in the place of regular veterinary medicine when normal veterinary medicine is EVIDENCE based veterinary medicine 🤨
But my feelings about that aside the romance was fun! Every time I expected to get that final fireworks moment something else happened!
I also love a romance novel with a good side character and this definitely ticked that box for me!

I read this book in the first 2 hours of waking up, I thought I'd only read a couple pages... but I found myself finishing it, it was just that hooking!

Parisa owns a Hollistics Pet Wellness center... and right next to it, Malakai owns a vet clinic! These two tough it out throughout the book, and their reasonings slowly change.

Parisa and Malakai have quickly become one of my favorite book couples! I love love LOVE the enemies to lovers dynamic.

There were an insane amount of "oh my god another roadblock" moments, they threw me off slightly, as I find it difficult to continue reading when there are misunderstandings following each other every chapter. But once I finished it I was so glad I did, even through the hard parts.

My favorite parts were the intimate ones! They were written perfectly enough to give me, the reader, butterflies. They were soft but detailed.

This was a sweet rom-com that gave me a nice little serotonin boost to start my day, definitely a novel worth adding to your shelves :))

Love Unleashed by Elise Eliot is a great enemies-to-lovers romcom read about two veterinarians.

The story is about Parisa Hadid who has a pet wellness center, practicing holistic medicine for pets. Her biggest rival is Malakai Dixon, the veterinarian whose office is right next door. Malakai practices traditional medicine when it comes to treating animals and hates Parisa's approach.

The chemistry between Parisa and Malakai was electric, filled with so much banter and tension! Both hated each other but wanted what was best for the animals. As they got to know each other more they found that there was a chance they could work together. Every time I thought they would finally kiss, there was some type of surprise. I loved the anticipation! Every page was so well written I wouldn't change a thing. A great balance of getting to know the main characters as well as the side characters.

I recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romcom!

Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for providing me with an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Love Unleashed by Elise Eliot is an absolutely adorable novel that is sure to tug at your heartstrings. From the very beginning, I was drawn in by the enemies to lovers relationship between the two main characters, Parisa and Malakai. The constant fighting and banter between these two veterinarians added an extra layer of tension to the story that had me eagerly turning pages.

One thing that really stood out to me about Love Unleashed was the emphasis on cute puppies and the importance of animal care. Parisa's pet wellness center and Malakai's veterinary practice both had a love and respect for animals that was evident throughout the book. It was heartwarming to see how much the characters cared for their furry patients and how they were willing to go above and beyond to help them.

The chemistry between Parisa and Malakai was electric and had me rooting for them throughout the entire book. Even though they started off as enemies, it was clear that there was something more between them. As they were forced to work together due to an unexpected accident, they were able to face their fears and their feelings, leading to a beautiful love story.

Overall, Love Unleashed is a tantalizing enemies to lovers romance that sizzles with banter, passion, and plenty of hilarious twists. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romance, cute puppies, and a story that will warm your heart. I give Love Unleashed by Elise Eliot 5 stars!

Oh Parisa honey, run fast and run far from these guys...

I liked this book - I really did. But damn, did the female lead Parisa not have much to work with. She's got the clingy boyfriend who is so keen on getting married in the same time frame that his parents had years ago, that he has blinkers on and his hearing off. He starts out like a Hallmark boyfriend and ends up a bit like a Lifetime psycho. Weird dude.

Then she has the male lead, Malakai, who starts off with strong Clark Kent energy, but then also descends into clingy territory. If you like her, tell her, sure, but don't essentially stalk her while she's dating someone else and love bomb her. Not cool my man.

Also, side note, but what was up with Malakai's sister, Gianna? She was so touchy-feely with him and on two occasions used herself as the prop to make Pari jealous. Ew girl, no. Don't be strange.

Still, the book had dogs and scenes with dogs and stories about dogs, so I cant complain too much. It also had some really funny one liners, which is always great.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers. I appreciate you. All views are my own!

Two vets with sizzling chemistry go head to head in this comical enemies to lovers story. There are some funny moments and I enjoyed the misunderstandings in the beginning. The last 25% of the story seemed rushed and drawn out all at the same time. The main misunderstanding doesn’t get resolved for ages and then there is a love triangle of sorts that I thought felt strange.
Despite all this it’s a great quick read if you like animals and vet stories.

Thank you to the publisher, author and netgalley for this arc. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Book boyfriend - check, cute funny moments - check, love story you wish would happen to you - check. Romantic comedy perfection - check check! Malakai and Parisa's chemistry is undeniable and you can feel it radiating off the pages. Could not put this down.

This was a cute romcom-style book. I loved the build-up between the characters throughout. The he falls first trope was used in a perfect not over-the-top way. The author built a story that was relatable and a book boyfriend that while I hated him at first had me cheering him on in the end. I loved the character development of both main characters. This is a slow burn low spice romcom I will definitely recommend to others.

Love Unleashed is a charming and entertaining novel about two rival veterinarians. The book showcases several tropes, including enemies-to-lovers, slow burn, rom-com, and work rivals.

I was impressed with the banter and fighting among the MCs... The tension between them builds up slowly, and the chemistry between them is electric, making the romance all the more satisfying. The story was fun to read, and the pets added an extra layer of warmth and heart to the story.
I'm not a big fan of love triangles tho...

Overall, Love Unleashed by Elise Eliot is a light and enjoyable read, especially for enemies-to-lovers romance and vet stories fans. Despite its flaws, the book has a lot of heart and charm, and the main characters and their furry patients are endearing. If you're looking for a cute and entertaining romance novel, Love Unleashed might be the perfect choice.

Thanks to Netgalley for the E-ARC. This was such a sloooowwww burn but I was here for all of it. This was such a easy read and I loved all the shenanigans of Parisa and Malakai. If it is this fun being a vet then I am in the wrong profession I need to go and find me a Malakai. Can we also talk about the support characters who were so adorable as well. Cant wait to read more in this series.

An opposites attract story. With neighboring business and differing ideas, will Parisa and Kai be able to settle their differences and realise they are right for each other? A great read.

Love Unleashed is a sweet story of two Veterinarians with very different approaches to helping animals but also cannot avoid the strong chemistry between them. I am not a big fan of miscommunication tropes so if you feel the same way know that ahead of time. Other than that it was a nice story and I would be interested to see who the next couple would be in the series.

I enjoyed this cute romance, and any book that features cute animals, especially dogs, is a definite must read for me!

From the first chapter I liked the voice Parisa was given and I enjoyed the story right away. It was a slow-burn book and both Parisa and Malakai had to overcome multiple obstacles until they went from enemies to lovers. Without it becoming too many obstacles and becoming unbelievable.

(Most) characters were very likable and you also get some cute dog content (even though some had... odd names: Pup Tart, Little Bow Wow adn FurrElise for example).

Most of the characters also weren't "standard" people, with that I mean not everyone had the same background. Scottish/Italian, Persian, Japanese. It wasn't he main focus of the story but it definitely had had a place.

In the 'about the author' it said that Elise loves to write funny, romantic stories that give readers a mental vacation. And the book definitely gave me a mental vacation (which I hadn't realised I needed from only reading fantasy books with (too) many characters.

I'm also interested in Gianna's story and other books written by Elise Eliot.

A lovely slow burn rom-com. I really enjoyed the setting of the story with the main characters being vets and animals being an integral part of the story. Malakai and Parisa are the perfect pairing once they finally realise they like each other. But it does take them a long time to accept their feelings for each other, and their communication could have been so much better if they had only talked about their feelings sooner! Great chemistry between the main characters.

A good book to read on holiday or the beach, not too taxing with a satisfying ending. Perfect for fans of rom-coms.

This was one of my favorite books this year.

I love how they didn't get together right after their first kiss, it gave some tension.

And GIRL, those things that happened after the party, I was almost crying.

It was written so well that I stayed up until 3 AM to finish it.

Cute, fun, and quick read. This book was so much fun to read. I loved the banter between the main characters and how their relationship evolved in the story. The enemies-to-lovers trope is one of my favorites and this definitely delivered.
Parisa and Malakai are two veterinarians with practices next door to each other. Their views of best practices for caring for animals vary greatly. Their beginning conflict stems from Malakai claiming that Parisa is not a "real vet" because of her beliefs about treatments. The tension is full blast and the banter never stopped.
If you're looking for a good enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity, Rom-Com, look no further!

This was a cute and light hearted enemies to lovers romance. No spice at all, very PG which I don't mind. I enjoyed the chemistry between the characters and the back and forth banter. The beginning got a little repetitive with the real vs "fake" doctor. I am a dog lover so the fact that both characters worked with dogs was a nice bonus. If you're looking for a light and fun beach read this is the book!

Everything sumps up as a cute enemies-to-lovers 🥹 this is my first Elise Elliot book and boy did I like it 💜 but I may be biased because can anything about vets and dogs go wrong?!?

We have Parisa and Malakai, two vets with different approaches how to handle pet care. On one hand, we have Parisa with a holistic focus, and on the other is Malakai completely against it. With that starts their war to make their business succeed by sabotaging the other.

It was such a fun read and I did it under 24 hours so it was quick and easy to enjoy. Their banter was excellent but as always everything could have been avoided if they had just… you know, TALKED💀

AND Dane needed to be cut loose SOONER!!!

Also, I wish we got a scene with Parisa’s parents after her business got better, to throw that to their faces 😏

Other than that I really liked the book and the side characters were also really cool and I can wait to read more about them 👀

My Rating: ❤️❤️❤️.5

Disclaimer: I received an advance review copy for free and am leaving this review voluntarily. Thanks to Netgalley.

General Thoughts: Warning: If you don't like extremely slow burn and closed-door romances, then this one will not be for you. I know that's a nonstarter for some. I, for one, enjoy them. But if you don't enjoy that, this one may not be for you.

The couple featured here is interracial, which is always a plus in my book. So that was a huge plus for me about this book, as was the woman in stem representation. This book left me so frustrated with the characters at times in all the best ways like you could see what was driving the characters and how that was going to result in problems and tension. So it has all the "don't do that. It will not work out how you want it to" energy. It was a fun, cute, quick, enjoyable read that will have you feeling all the feels. It also has "will they or won't they" energy throughout.

There was one element in the book with Parisa that I didn't feel was resolved. For example, she was really worried about something that made her not want to go into a relationship and then she kind of did that same thing, and it never came up or was addressed. That dinged the book for me a bit, but again, I really enjoyed it, I'd recommend it, and I'll read more by the author.

Content Warning: Some mentions of cheating occur with other characters and some arguments to be made that a main character is not entirely faithful in a relationship that is pretty new.

Steam Meter: 💞 This is a closed-door, clean, sweet romance. Whatever you want to call it, there is no steam here.

Romantic Tropes

A perfectly good read that uses the trope enemies to lovers in a fun way. Straight from the first chapter you get a feel of the tension running through the protagonist. Both male abd female protagonist need their practices to succeed but they're cutting into each others clients so ilehildy ot is a fun read it is slso full of inspiring ides as an animal lover and also how easy life would be if we could be harmonious abd balanced with everything. It's really a good solid book that reads like a breeze. Whilst it's not exactly the most complex, steamy, nor the most angsty, I do feel like that in itself is also a big draw that differentiates it from the rest out there.

This was an enemies to lovers, grumpy sunshine, and clean romance. Parisa Hadid owns a holistic centered vet practice. Malachi Dixon owns a conventional vet practice. Their practices are side by side and they don’t agree on anything. I found that the book moved slowing for the beginning, but did eventually pick up. I had hoped for some spice, but this is a clean romance book. Overall, it was a decent read.

Parisa and Malaki are both vets with differing styles. Unfortunately they have practices next door to each other - and both finds the other extremely attractive. The ending is quite obvious, but none the worse for it.

Okay, I just finished the book and I can say that it is so wholesome to read. I loved a good enemy to Lovers book. Malakai and Parisa are two characters that are both headstrong, stubborn, intelligent, and competitive so I knew that they were so perfect for one another. Elise Eliot did a great job writing this novel. I love pets as I grew up with them all my life. I don't know much about dogs but I liked the bit of information given on how pet care. Reading this book was like watching a Hallmark movie and I love that there was a happy ending. I know there probably won't be another book with Malakai and Parisa and if it was, I'd buy it in a heartbeat because this was a story I was invested in. Thank you Netgalley and Elise Eliot for allowing me to read this book.

Love Unleashed is about 2 rivals vets (ie animal doctors). Featured tropes include enemies-to-lovers, slow burn, rom-com, and work rivals.

It was an entertaining read with plenty of banter between the main characters. It is definitely a slow burn with the tension building slowly and definite chemistry. I am a sucker for animals so this book was a delight for me.

If you like vet stories and/or enemies to lovers I would recommend taking a look at this read. It really is a cute, charming and wee-paced romance.

Ms. Eliot is a new-to-me author so I didn't know what to expect when I picked this up. It's a fun and quick, enemies to lovers story that takes place in the workplace. Parisa owns a pet wellness center and is still trying to prove to her parents she can make her business a success. But she keeps getting distracted by the constant quibbles with the handsome but infuriating veterinarian next door, Malakai. Malakai worked hard to get his practice to where it is, and he's not going to let Parisa ruin it for him. He won't let anything get in the way of getting her out of his way. But the chemistry that ignites between them has other ideas, and they better watch out before both of their plans gets burned. Then when an accident occurs and they are forced to work together, they are also forced to face the feelings they are feeling for each other.
The story was filled with fun, passion, and humor and kept me engaged till the end. I enjoyed the witty back and forth banter between the two, and really felt the strong chemistry between them. This was an entertaining and enjoyable story and I look forward to reading more of this author's work.
I received a complimentary copy from Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

This was an beautiful story with a really fun and sweet veterinary setting. Something I didn't realize I needed and ultimately launched a two-pronged attack at my heartstrings.

I'm a huge fan of the enemies fo lovers trope so Love Unleashed by Elise Eliot drew me in from the get go. What more can one ask for? Sniping, banter, tension AND cute animals?!

The chemistry between Parisa and Malakai had me unable to put this book down, I mean wow it was really sizzling. The care and respect and love for animals that Parisa and Malakai demonstrated of adorableness for me!

First, I want to start by saying that the dedication is so cute! I love when the dedications have some sugar and spice in them; this one was definitely a sweet one!

This book was a combination of two of my favorite tropes; enemies to lovers and grumpy x sunshine. Sometimes it was reverse grumpy sunshine and I loved every second of it because I rarely see books like that these days.

The fact that I have a dog myself makes me relate to this book so much more. The romance between the two characters and the story revolving around their love for animals is so captivating! Also, the diversity in their approach towards the animals in their clinics was very appealing!

I work in the healthcare field so I liked that there's somewhat of a medical aspect.

I love the fact that we got to see the two characters' families and the fact that they come from different backgrounds and cultures and traditions was very interesting!

This is the first book I read by Elise Eliot and hopefully it won't be my last because I really liked her style in writing!

This book was really easy to get into.

This was a slow burn enemies to lovers which is one of my favourite tropes. The banter did not disappoint, although sometimes the banter seemed a little immature given that the characters were supposed to be professionals. The chemistry between Parisa and malakai was undeniable though and kept me interested throughout the book!

I really enjoyed the friendships and relationships in this book too including parisa’s relationship with her sister.

I enjoyed that both characters were vets- it felt like a unique job not often used and explored in books and was definitely one of the things that drew me in and kept me interested throughout.

overall this was an enjoyable romance read that I would recommend .

The best enemies to lovers romance that I have read. A traditional vet versus a holistic approach vet. I loved the dogs!

I did not expect to like this book as much as I did. I went into it thinking it was going to be a light, breezy read and it was, but it was so much more enjoyable than that. We have two main characters, Parisa and Malakai. Both are veterinarians, with Parisa following a more holistic approach and Malakai sticking to traditional medicine. They end up with practices next door to each other, which starts a workplace enemies to lovers dynamic.

They butt heads frequently, which causes tension between the two. While at times they did each act childish, but for some reason it made the book even more entertaining. This book also has a wonderful cast of supporting characters. For example, they have an assistant (hers being Autumn and his being Ren). The relationship between these two helped carry the story along. There was also a lot of information about her Persian background, which helped make her a more rich character.

There was a love triangle that felt oddly placed and unnecessary, but it did not hinder the book for me at all. There was also a dramatic twist, but it completely made sense for the story and I love how it was portrayed. I also loved seeing how when Malakai fell, he fell hard. It was such a fun read overall.

The tropes you get:

-grumpy/sunshine

-Work rivals

If you love a good workplace enemies to loves romance, adore pets in your books and prefer closed-door romance, this is a rom-com for you!
