I was completely drawn into the story. Felt like I was sat in a room having a discourse with a friend; for me, that’s the mark of a great writer. She pulls you in with her words - straight from her heart and so eloquently educates readers on such a sensitive and serious topic. I was mesmerized by the story and the book became a page turner until I was compelled to finish it. The book brought emotions and thoughts as I read enabling me to empathetically imagine and see it in the eyes of the author. The book is well paced and it feels like your watching a movie in real life. I had to constantly remind myself that it was not fiction but a true story. The book title is perfect as it focuses on children and giving insight of how the different types of abuse affect children. The book left me with a lot to think about and more lessons learnt.
It suits both professionals and non professionals. Buy a copy you wont be disappointed.
