I love all of these books! The illustrations are lovely. Diana’s story is a great one of both highs and lows, the book does emphasize her kindness and show her accolades and work that was important to her. Although the darker and more difficult subjects are mentioned in a simple and straightforward way, they would need further explanation if reading to a young child. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the free preview in exchange for an honest review.

This is such a welcome addition to the Little People, Big Dreams series. It doesn’t shy away from the Royal divorce or Diana’s struggles with bulimia, but tackles these topics with age appropriate language and care. It focuses on so much more than just her marriage and highlights the wonderful and cari g person Diana was, and how her selfless legacy is ever lasting. I cannot wait to add the physical edition of this book to our home library!

This was so cute. Despite it being a children's book, I found that I still learned quite a bit about Princess Diana. It was simple but still held information for the reader to learn, no matter the age. I highly recommend this book and any other book in this series, for you and your little ones to read together.

I have never really been hugely interested in the Royal Family, but I have always had a soft spot for Princess Diana.
Was interesting reading about her life - and not from all the Rosey points of view either.
Great book, from a great series .

My entire family loves the "Little People, Big Dreams" books, and I was thrilled to see one about Princess Diana. This book highlights prominent moments through her life, giving the readers an insight into the life of "The People's Princess".

I enjoyed the illustrations in the book, and the easy-to-understand milestones about Princess Diana. It went just in-depth enough for younger readers, but still mentioned the serious aspects of her life. At the end of the book was a timeline of her life, as well as a little more detail about some of her life events.

This is a great book to help learn about famous people who have helped change the world, and I highly recommend books in this series.

I picked up this book because my students have to do a biography report each year. Last year, one of my students picked Princess Diana. The goal of the assignment is to learn and present what the person contributed to society. Based on the biography books that were available at the time, it was hard for my student to clearly see her contributions and importance of Princess Diana's role. I have other books from this series, so I was hopeful for this one. This book, simply written, helps give a snapshot of some of her important accomplishments: her compassion for AIDS patients and bringing attention to issues such as mental health and landmine removal. I thought it was interesting how the book included her battle with bulimia. It also touched on her unhappy marriage. The last two pages include more detailed notes about her life. Overall, I think this book would be a great addition to my children's biography collection because it would help my third-graders understand more about Princess Diana's life.

Another great addition to this collection of stories! I'm glad that Diana got her own story, especially on the heels of the King Charles book that was released earlier. Lovely illustrations and a great job focusing on Diana's passions and charitable impact = her work to cut through stigma and highlight the humanity of people in all different circumstances and walks of life. Easily digestible and a great level of detail for the target

Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book!

I read this children's book with my mom and the truth is that we both admire Diana very much. She clearly conveyed her love for her to me and we had the chance to read this together, which led us to talk about her life and all that she suffered due to royalty and cowardly and evil men.

It's interesting and I think it's very good that they talk about the bulimia she suffered, and also about how she learned to love herself (although I don't think we'll ever really know this).

We have to remember that it's a book for childrens, that's why I think that the things that are said and the way they do it is correct, it's simple and to the point. Bluntly. Very cute illustrations too.

And as the book says, she will have lost the title of "princess" but she won that of Queen since she was part and continues to be part of the hearts of many people.

Thank you Frances Lincoln Children's Books for the ARC I read through NetGalley, in exchange for an honest review.

I LOVE this series. Not only for my kids, but for myself. Like, LOVE, love. I can’t express that enough. This one in particular I knew I wanted to read. I distinctly remember when Princess Diana passed away. My mom loved her and followed everything about her. I was 10 when she died, but have very fond memories of her and seeing her on television. This is a great book telling about her life. She had a difficult adult life being married to Charles. I feel like they talked about it and talked about hard things in a magnificent ways. Ways that kids will understand without being too graphic or descriptive. I loved learning more about her.

I absolutely love the little people, Big Dreams collection.
As usual, the biography is well written for kids and perfectly complemented with beautiful illustrations.
The book focus mainly on the kindness of Princess Diana and everything is told in a gentle and child appropriate way.
Due to some heavier topics such as bulimia and depression I would read it to/ with kids older than 5..

Thank you, NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group - Frances Lincoln Children's Books, for the Advanced Readers Copy (ARC) of Princess Diana (Little People, Big Dreams, #98) by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara. I was delighted to be approved to read this book for free in exchange for my honest review.

This book is perfect for children between the ages of five and seven and is a great way to introduce kids to non-fiction stories. Not knowing much about Princess Diana, I actually learned something about her. I had no idea that Diana had an eating disorder. In my opinion, this biography is a great way for parents to have a discussion about eating disorders with their child. The illustrations by Archita Khosla were fantastic and added to the story.

Five out of five stars is what I give Princess Diana (Little People, Big Dreams, #98) by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara. I hope this author and publishing company continue to write and publish additional biographies for children that are as engaging as this one.

Another wonderful book from "Little People,Big Dreams. This time, it is a biography of Princess Diana , the People's Princess.
As I have mentioned this before in my other reviews, this book series has never failed to surprised me with information that is presented (which can be sensitive for younger readers - in this case, divorce, bulimic, etc) in a most comprehensive manner .
A wonderful book that helps young readers to learn about a wonderful person who left this earth too soon.

I would like to thank NetGalley for allowing me early access to this ebook. All opinions are my own.

These books might just be the most adorable thing ever! I was already familiarized with the concept when I requested it on NetGalley - the idea is to easily show children the achievements of important people.

In this one, particularly, we get to see Princess Diana for herself, rather than as Prince Charles’ wife or Princes Harry and William’s mother. The art work is amazing and the message for children is clear, showing both Princess Diana’s impact on other people’s lives and the problems she struggle with, which feels very pertinent to bring awareness to young children. A must read, for sure, as well as the rest of the collection.

This review will also be available on my Goodreads account and, closer to release date, in my instagram profile.

A sweet story for young children about the former Princess Diana. It starts when Diana was born and talks a little about her family. Her parents divorced when she was young. She lived with her father. She helped take care of her younger brother. She later went to boarding school away from home. When she was older she shared an apartment with some friends. That's when she caught the eye of Prince Charles. I remember getting up early to watch the royal wedding of Charles and Diana along with millions of other people around the world. Diana was much loved around the world. But Charles still had feelings for another woman. Diana developed bulimia because of this. She took good care of her two sons. She became involved in charities that dealt with AIDS and land mines. She and Charles divorced. She still followed her heart to help others and was much loved up until her death.

This is such a good little book to let the children know about Diana Spencer.
I heard about this little series but never actually read one, the Diana one was what really sparked my interest.

The story tells her life in a short few pages, somehow it still has a lot of detail. I'm excited to read the rest of them about more important people.

A lovely tribute to 'the people's princess' filled with inspiration and shining a light on all the good she did.

Diana Spencer was an icon of love, compassion and charity, earning her the title the ‘People’s Princess.’

Children will learn that Diana’s caring nature was evident from when she was a little girl, even before she won a prize for being the most caring girl in school. It’s that character trait that gave Princess Diana strength and focus when her world came tumbling down around her in 1992. Rather than focus on what she’d lost, Diana chose to continue to love. She loved people despite their status, health condition, or nationality. Kindness matters. Our children need to read this.

My favourite quote:
“And little Diana never regretted leaving the palace to follow her own path; the path of a true princess who - by opening herself up to others - became a queen in people’s hearts.”

⚠️The topic of bulimia will rise and parents/teachers should be prepared to talk about it with their children/students.

I appreciated that this book doesn’t shy away from eating disorders or divorce; two areas not often covered in children’s books.

The illustrations are fantastic and the book is not overly simplified. Perfect teaching tool in today's world.

I was gifted this copy by Quarto Publishing Group, Frances Lincoln Children’s Books and NetGalley and was under no obligation to provide a review.

Princess Diana is the newest addition to the Little People, Big Dreams franchise.
With colourful and interesting illustrations by Archita Kholsa, it's a great introduction for younger readers to the world's most famous princess.
The words are carefully chosen and the book discusses divorce, bulimia, and mental health which are heavy topics that must be sensitively handled - the book does this well.

This entire series are all short, descriptive, and easily read books about famous folk. This book tells the story of Princess Diana and her short but very full life. I am not one of those into British royalty, but the story is well told and the book is enjoyable.

My kids adore the Little People, Big Dreams book series, and Princess Diana is a lovely new addition! Telling the story of the People's Princess, this book describes Diana's childhood, some of her life's struggles, and her philanthropic efforts. I highly recommend this book for other young biography lovers who want to learn about a real life princess!

As a content warning. the book discusses bulimia and divorce.

I read this book with my young daughter and we both really liked it. I enjoyed that it shared a glimpse into Diana’s struggles without being sordid, and shared that she truly was the people’s princess.

What I wish there was more of us more about her role as a mom, but the story was written well and was very cute.

This will be a great way for Princess Diana stans like myself to share their love for her with their children, and to ensure that her legacy lives on.

Most of us know the famous princess that captivated everyone's attention. Her grace and her kindness that always be her trademark. But for once, the author talked about her divorce that led to bulimia. And Diana overcame her sickness, then be the inspiring princess we all know. At first, I was skeptic to this information for young ones, but apparently the author can always finished it beautifully.

From this biography, the children can learn that we have different abilities and challenges to conquer.

Diana wasn’t the smartest at school, but distinguished herself as a very kind person.

Her life with a prince wasn’t a fairy tale. She developed bulimia, because of her unhappiness. It took her time to seek help, but eventually she did. And later, she talked openly about this disorder.

She was a caring person not only for her children, but also for others. She advocated for those battling AIDS.

The final thought is something that summarizes her life perfectly – “a queen in people’s hearts” as she didn’t hold the title when she died.

The message of who she was is clearly related in this brief biography.

The colorful illustrations are perfect for the target audience of 4-7 years old.

I LOVE the series "Little People, BIG DREAMS", and also do my son and my daughter, so I couldn't pass on the opportunity to read the one dedicated to Princess Diana.
I really appreciated that it also addresses eating disorders and her divorce, as I strongly believe that our children should be aware of the existence of things that may be considered 'less beautiful,' but still true and part of our existence.
I grew up with my mother telling me about Princess Diana, my father was even visiting London when the accident happened, so we still have pictures of the vast fields of flowers that people left in her memory.
Even with her difficulties, her greatest weapon has always been unconditional love for everyone: life could throw any cruelty at her, and yet she would still continue to love, and I think that this is a beautiful thing to read and to teach our children.

(The illustrations are beautiful as always, and the themes in the book are never trivialized.)

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the free preview in exchange for an honest review.

I LOVE ‘Little People, BIG DREAMS’ series and I love the royal family, so this book was a must grab for me!

It was everything I expected and even more. This one covers Princess Diana’s life from her birth to the tragic end. The book celebrates her life, her kindness and her hard work to make the world a better place. It doesn’t shy away from challenging topics and hard moments in Diana’s life, but the delivery is kind and age appropriate for the young audience.

I highly recommend not only this book, but every other book from the ‘Little People, BIG DREAMS’ series.
They are all 5⭐️!

Thank you for this beautiful ARC!

As with the other books in this range I absolutely adore this story off Princess Diana, I find the approach to her eating disorder amazingly well written. It is important yet not graphic for younger readers, I personally would let my children read this as it highlights a strong message to younger readers while still having the charm and enjoyment of a “princess “ story.
Beautiful illustrations throughout!!!

My boys and I love the Little People, BIG DREAMS series. But this one was by far my favorite of any we've read together. I've read quite a bit about Princess Diana myself so I loved being able to share about her to my kids in a way they would understand. This book was a perfect little biography for children. It starts with the birth of Diana and continues to adulthood and post-divorce with Charles. Her marriage, time as a royal, motherhood, her great humanitarian efforts, and love of the people are covered in between. The illustrations were colorful, adorable, and perfect. As always, I love the "real life" timeline at the end of the book. Highly recommend for any child (or adult) who loves reading about real people and/or history.

I absolutely adored the Princess Diana biography for kids in the Little People, BIG DREAMS series! This lovely edition beautifully captures the inspiring journey of a remarkable woman who touched the hearts of millions. Diana's story is one of both highs and lows, but it is her unwavering kindness and compassion that truly shine through. Even after her divorce, Diana remained a shining beacon in the public eye, tirelessly working to make the world a better and kinder place.

The book celebrates her as an icon of style and grace, but it goes beyond surface-level admiration. It empowers young readers by showcasing how Diana used her voice and influence to stand up for what she believed in and inspire positive change.

The illustrations in this book are simply delightful. The stylish and quirky artwork captures the essence of Diana's spirit, allowing young readers to connect with her on a personal level. The illustrations, combined with the engaging storytelling, create a captivating reading experience that both educates and entertains.

This short story, complemented with beautiful illustrations, briefly outlines the life of Princess Diana and some of the positive things she had been involved in. It puts an emphasis on her kindness and shares her accolades and work that was most important to her.

“𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘋𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘢 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘳𝘦𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘧𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘩: 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘩 𝘰𝘧 𝘢 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘰- 𝘣𝘺 𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘶𝘱 𝘵𝘰 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴- 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘢 𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘯 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦’𝘴 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘴.”

This story also touches on sensitive topics that may not be appropriate for younger readers such as Diana’s struggle with bulimia, her public divorce, and the pressure of being in the public eye taking its toll on her mental well-being. However it is a great way for parents to open up the discussion with their children through sharing Diana’s story.

Little People, Big Dreams by Maria Isabel Sánchez Vegara continues to captivate with an immaculate collection of mini-biographies for children.
Princess Diana: Little People, Big Dreams tells the story of who Diana was as a child. Her family life, education, interests, and how she became Princess Diana. Maria Isabel Sánchez Vegara does a beautiful job writing for young children. The impressive collection of Little People, Big Dreams is proof of it, as sometimes there is a subject matter that can be sensitive or unknown for young children. The books tell the story with empathy and give factual information that makes these books great resources as well.
In this story, you see how careful the author is when bringing to light the eating disorder that Princess Diana overcame. Written with empathy and considering the audience’s ages, it was touched on and explained in a manner that could be comprehended. It continues on to discuss more about the life she shared with her children and the world. How she helped others and worked on important causes, from mental health to animal rights.

As with every book in the Little People, Big Dreams collection a timeline of Princess Diana is offered at the end. This is a great addition to anyone with young children. The story is one of perseverance and selflessness. The illustrations are beautiful and some highlight moments that we have seen in the media.

This book doesn’t shy away from the issues Pricess Diana faced. I think sometimes we think being royality is all sunshine and rainbows. I like that this book showed how hard it can be to alway be in the eye of the public. It also gives opportunity to talk to kids about topics that sometimes can be hard to bring up.

I thought this was once again a very cute and informative biography for young children. It talked about how Diana was such a kind hearted person who had her ups and downs. Who thought she found love, but was mistaken. I thought it was interesting how they talked about her eating disorder. I also like how they talked about always helping people out when she was a princess and after the divorce and how much she loved being a mother. This one is one of my favorites from the series.
