Remote employees, put your stress on mute with this hilarious grown-up coloring and activity book all about the joys and challenges of working from home.
Farewell, fluorescent lights! So long, cubicle maze! The people have spoken, and the work-from-home lifestyle is here to stay. Work from Home: A Coloring and Activity Book for Grown-Ups (LOL as You WFH) is perfect for anyone who knows and loves the wonderful (and at times wonderfully weird) experience of remote work.
Hand-drawn quotes, hilariously relatable cartoons, and tons of activities from Mad Libs to word searches (plus a few essential cocktail recipes for those tough Wednesday afternoons) commemorate fun and quirky parts of working from home such as:
- Hazardous mishaps with the mute button
- Baking sourdough between emails
- Vacationing for free via your screensaver
- Planning your outfit for the day based on whether your meetings require video
- Finally learning what your dog does all day
- Making work calls from your parked car so your kids don't interrupt
- The exhilarating liberation from office small talk
For everyone who used to procrastinate about folding their laundry and now folds their laundry to procrastinate, let's admit it: It's been a long day. Why not commute from your kitchen table to your couch, take a deep breath, and color for a while? So let your anxieties go, have a few laughs, and enjoy not staring at screen for a while as you treat yourself to some well-earned relaxation!
Features a convenient lay-flat binding so you can color anywhere (not that you get out much), perforated pages (so you can easily tear out and display your artwork on the fridge to impress your “co-workers”), and high-quality stock paper--heavy enough to handle pencils, markers, or those pens you stole from the office.

I love this book so much! Thought it is JUST a colouring book, NOT! It has puzzles, quizzes, comics, fill in the blanks, on top of the super cute quotes and pictures to colour. Super interesting! Will buy the physical copy from Amazon soon, thanks NetGalley! I just reviewed Work from Home by Harper Celebrate. #WorkfromHome #NetGalley
Thank you to Harper Celebrate and NetGalley for this eARC!
I have been working from home 60-100% of the time since 2020, and so when I saw this book I had to see what it entailed. This is such an adorable book of activities for grown ups! I feel like every time I go to get a book like this, it's all of ONE thing. All coloring pages, all word searches, etc. This, however, is a blend making it so enjoyable! This book is so much fun, and I would definitely get it as a gag gift for a friend who works from home as well! All of the things we've been experiencing as a society, wrapped in a little humor. Highly recommend.
Thanks to Net Galley and Harper Celebrate for the eARC,this was a really fun one!
I was expecting this to just be a regular colouring book but actually it had plenty of fun activities throughout it and I liked the inclusion of word searches and crosswords too! The colouring in scenarios were also very relatable and amusing as someone who permanently works from home.
I'd really recommend this to anyone who works from home and it would for sure make a fun gift.
I think the cocktail recipes will definitely go down a treat too!
This coloring book for adults is hysterical and relatable. It brings me back to the early days of quarantine where everyone was baking bread, watching Tiger King and solely wearing pajamas. The word searches, "draw a picture of" prompts and funny coloring pages make this something I look forward to buying for my friends.
I had an image in my mind the whole time I was reading this one of the creators giggling and rolling their eyes as they put it together. It's just plain ol' fun. Full of humor, amazingly right-on-target drawings, word games, suggestions for lists and imaginative drawings, it is a "very serious coloring book for very serious grown ups" who work from home, typed tongue-in-cheek, I'm sure. Heck, there are even drink mix instructions. Okay, maybe not so tongue-in-cheek. Cheers?
The artwork is just detailed enough to make viewers grin and nod, thinking "Yep. True" the entire time. I'm not quite sure which was my favorite, it'd probably depend on mood and the day, but as a retiree I was definitely drawn to the "poster" declaring the new, official dress code to be "pajama professional". Made sense to me. Have to admit, though, the "It's 5 '0'Clock somewhere" one made me grin, too.
In other words, there's surely something for everyone, from the multi-tasker watching tv across from their laptop to the one pondering why they never knew how their pet spent their days or the exercise machine slowly becoming a clothing rack, they all had a ring of familiarity. All done with humor and a "We're all in this together" spirit. Thanks #NetGalley and #HarperCelebrate for this delightfully humorous tribute to the work-at-home warriors. Even this retiree could relate.
I love the combination of coloring and activity pages! This book is awesome and adorable. I wish I had it when I used to WFH. May need to purchase my own copy!
I love this so much! And need my own physical copy for sure. It's a mix of coloring pages with funny scenarios for work from home individuals, relatable quotes, games, etc. It totally reminded me of the games and books my friends used to fill out together in school, like "MASH" and other similar things. This one had stuff like mad libs, adult drink recipes, funny word searches and so much more. What a great and entertaining way to fill in the boring moments of your day
Such a fun book -- it's coloring pages with catchy captions, comics, puzzles, quizzes, and more, all geared at filling the time before the next Zoom meeting starts, so you attend the meeting relaxed and smiling. A great idea that's very well executed.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.
There is no better way to procrastinate that to do list than to color! Get creative and add some fun to your day with this adult coloring book. Full of fun sarcastic artwork from Harper Celebrate, the book includes activity sheets too. So when those video meetings turn your brain into pudding you can revive it with word search or adult mad libs.
This was a fun book! It contains great coloring pages but also so much more - there are plenty of activity pages, such as crosswords and word searches, all of them sprinkled with great humor. I highly recommend!
This was so much fun! I love that it had other activities in it other than coloring pages like word searches, fill in the blanks, and spaces to draw/write things to a prompt. This would be so much fun to someone who works remotely/ words mostly remote! It was really creative and cool.
This Work from Home Coloring and Activity book for Grown-ups is full of coloring pages and activities that will help fill your boring WFH days! I've been working and studying from home for almost three years, and this book is perfect! It's full of pictures, hilarious Mad Libs, word searches, recipes and written prompts that will have you laughing your way through the slow parts of your day (or through those long boring Zoom meetings).
This would be a great gift for anyone who works from home, or just buy it for yourself!
Thanks Netgalley for the opportunity to review this eARC in exchange for my honest review on the book!
Work from Home A Coloring and Activity Book for Grown-ups (LOL as You WFH) is a fun book. It has coloring pictures, word searches, drawing areas and more. There is a coloring page with a cat that is my reality. As a remote worker, this was a lot of fun and spot on. I reviewed a PDF copy, so I can’t comment on the paper quality. I’ve pre-ordered a copy.
Thank you to the author, Harper Celebrate, and NetGalley for the Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I love this coloring book. As someone who worked from home before it became the cool thing, I could relate to it. I chuckled as I colored and had a blast!
What a brilliant book! It’s witty, light hearted, and creative too. It’s much more than a bog standard colouring book - it has mini puzzles, word searches, spaces to sketch, humorous quotes, and more. It’s taken all the best bits of lockdown life, and put them all into a fun package together creative with. I love adult colouring books, and it was refreshing to find one a little different to the norm! I enjoyed seeing what was going to be on each new page. Would definitely recommend.
Thank you to Harper Celebrate and Netgalley for an eARC of this book to read and review.
WORK FROM HOME A Coloring and Activity Book for Grown-ups (LOL as YOU WFH).
This fun activity book is all that it promises. Perfect for people who had to work from home or are still doing it. It focusses on the good, the bad and the ugly reality of this now common reality for many of us. Entertaining games, exercises, drawings, colouring, etc.
Thank you NetGalley and Harper Celebrate for this ARC.
This coloring book is so fun! The author's other inclusions, drink recipes, word searches, mad libs, crosswords, made it even more enjoyable. It's the perfect anxiety cure for anyone who works from home. The coloring pages are FUNNY, and the author alternates nicely between simpler and more complex designs.
