A man, not a god. A prophet, a rebel, an iconoclast - but NOT A GOD.
Ren Lexander offers a compelling view of the man, the mission, the message. He explains the Beatitudes and the parables.
Should we believe him, or believe all that we were taught about Jesus?
Read this book. Read the other books mentioned in the book. (Bart Ehrman's work is oft-quoted.)
If you "know" Jesus, nothing is going to change your mind. If you've struggled all your life to believe the incredible claims about the Holy Spirit impregnating a virgin with the son of God, and this sinless man/God being crucified to save us from the fires of hell, you'll find all your doubts and questions addressed in this book.
"The Jesus Code" is an ambitious undertaking. A lot of questions are left unanswered unless you buy the next book in the series. Maybe I will. Maybe I won't.
Even if parts of this book are objectionable or untenable, most of it is well thought out and compelling.
Highly recommended!
