The Farm Anatomy activity book is a perfect intro to farm/agriculture for younger elementary ages! It’s colorful, full of a variety of activities, and extremely well rounded with topics that any young learner can engage in and learn from!
Our family is a homeschool family and this semester we are participating in virtual agriculture field trips - this book contains perfect activities for me to introduce before and review after our field trips! It will make my life easier and take our learning deeper.
Thank you NetGalley and Storey Publishing for the ARC.
We own the Julia Rothman trilogy so the chance to review a digital copy of the upcoming Farm Anatomy Activity Book is a real bonus for our tractor loving boy. And wow! It's gorgeous. I might even love it more than the original books!
Packed with every kind of puzzle and Julia's beautiful trademark illustrations, this activity book is a must for children who love learning about growing, farming and working life outdoors. There is so much to enjoy and it's clearly presented. I would love to buy this book as a gift but I will first be putting it on my own family wishlist and waiting excitedly for publication.
This activity book by Julia Rothman is absolutely gorgeous. The information is extremely helpful as we switch to homeschooling our son. We are are excited to do activities together.
Loved this activity book! It's full of beautiful illustrations, engaging activities, and thoughtful information. Will be recommending it to all the families I know! Thank you for the advance copy!
My family and I adored this farm themed activity book! Full of great illustrations, challenging puzzles, and enough farm related information to educate even the adults in the family, this book is a great resource for making farm life even more fun!
This amazing little activity book is a perfect blend of truly educational content and fun. The learning activities go well beyond any other activity book I’ve seen, with labeling parts of plants or identifying different plants. There is great information about plants kids might not otherwise be familiar with, as well as teaches about some of the equipment used on a farm. Lastly, the illustrations are gorgeous!
I accessed a free electronic copy of this book through NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.
This activity book was chocked full of cute games and puzzles to keep little ones occupied. Kids who love farms and homesteading will get a kick out of this for sure! The little drawing activities were adorable, there were mazes and word games too. Really cute!
Thank you for the ARC!
This activity book is perfect for young kids to learn more about farm life! I will definitely be purchasing this for our family when it is released. There are so many things that tie into what we homeschool our children in this workbook and it will be great for them to learn about animals, herbs and flowers that we have on our homestead. It can also make a great busy book while in the car or when you're busy with a sibling. Directions are easy to follow and the graphics and quality of them are wonderful. I think I might even learn a thing or two with them!
Our family has collected nearly all of Julia Rothman's books over the last few years and have enjoyed them greatly. This was the first activity book of hers that we have encountered, however. The illustrations, as always, are simply fantastic. The book featured a wide variety of activities that were interesting and engaging. My 8 and 10 year old collaborated to write the following review after engaging with the entire book:
"We really liked it and ew think the activities like the crossword puzzles and the word searches were very fun. The activity where you follow the bunny's hops was very hard as we couldn't follow the hops. Overall, it was a very fun activity book and we very much enjoyed completing the different activities and have learned a lot about forms. It makes a great companion book with the Farm Anatomy book and we ended up using the Farm Anatomy book for a few of the activities. We would recommend this book to anyone between the ages of 6-12 who wants to learn more about farms"
This book is the perfect companion for Farm Anatomy (which I adore, along with the entire Anatomy collection). It has activities suitable for a variety of ages, and several will make perfect conversation starters for mixed-age groups, including homeschooling and after-schooling families. I especially love how versatile this book is—not only is it great to use with its intended companion text, but it is also easily adaptable to use in conjunction with a trip to a farm park (whether historical, modern, or micro), farmers' market, or co-op. Some of them could even be used to enhance a simple trip to the grocery store.
I sincerely loved Julia Rothman's Farm Anatomy Activity Book and can't wait to use it with my kiddos.
I adore these books! The activities are varied and diverse, focusing on different skills and so many different aspects of the topics presented. I want to have all of them for my classroom and I want all of them for the library I am building for my son. These are so awesome.
Thank you Netgalley for the ARC!
This book is perfect for teaching younger ones about farming. It's got great illustrations. It also contains activities that you can do with your child including growing a bean plant in a bag. Even as an adult I learned some new things from this book and enjoyed the activities that we have done. Highly recommend it for anymore with children whither in the country or not.
Julia Rothman has once again created the perfect activity book for primary aged children.
A wonderful accompaniment to her earlier work, Farm Anatomy, this Activity Book is sure to excite and delight both children and those child-like at heart.
Initially I regretted showing my nine and five year old children the activity book as they immediately demanded we swap our homeschool book work plans for this, and I'm so glad they did.
We had the best day going through all the sections and answering the questions.
The graphics are eye-catching, the activities are engaging, and best of all the book is jam packed with education.
It worked well for both my children. My eldest was able to complete the book without much assistance and my youngest found the book engaging as I helped her through the activities.
This book would make for a wonderful gift or expansion on Julia Rothman's Farm Anatomy book.
If you are homeschooling I would highly recommend adding this to your curriculum.
I was gifted a digital copy of Julia Rothman's Farm Anatomy Activity Book in exchange for a fair and honest review.
Thank you Julia Rothman, Storey Publishing, and Net Galley for the opportunity.
I HIGHLY recommend this activity book. It was filled with interesting illustrations and a wide variety of puzzles, tasks, etc that was farming related. It somehow managed to combine this very solid information about topics concerning the farming life. I would 100p buy this if I had children in my network. I know that I would have loved this kind of activity book as a kid. I'm very interested in checking out other activity books by this author.
I quite literally have nothing bad to say about it.
