This book has some excellent information! I wish I'd have seen it a few months ago. I actually just lost 40 lbs and many of these tips in this book are exactly what my doctor told me to do. I think this will be very beneficial to our patrons.

This is a really great guide that will help you to sort out your life and how to diet in the right way without having to stress.

It will cover things like:
+How to count and keep a food log
+Baby goals and baby steps are your friends
+How much you should eat during the day.
+Eating every 3 hours will change your life and waistline.
+How important breakfast is
+Why artificial sweeteners are bad for you
+How protein, carbs and fats are important
+How to naturally ride your body of toxins
+Why it's important to drink water
+Why exercise is needed.
+Why it's important to be happy.

I am trying this guide out and hope it helps me. It seems to be helping so far and already I feel positive.

Maybe this is the guide that will help everyone.

It contains handy facts and important information.

Initially, I thought this book was going to give me information that I already knew. However, I was very impressed with the book. Did I know most of the information in the book? Yes. Yet, there was information that was new to me as well. For example, what is the best food to eat to improve your cholesterol levels? Which fish has the least mercury in it? There were many lists and tips to follow that were very helpful.

I also enjoyed the format of this book. It is set up as a ten week plan. It is not meant to be read in a day or two as I read it. You read the first chapter, fill in your baby steps goals, take your measurements, and work on those small steps for one week. Then, read the next chapter and so on. The final chapter gives helpful hints to stay on track and there are appendixes in the back with food dietary info and menu ideas.

Overall, a great book for anyone trying to start living a healthier lifestyle. No secret pills, scams, fad diets, etc. This is a diet and exercise book to help you live a healthier lifestyle that is set in an easy to follow format which eases you into your new lifestyle in little steps. I plan to go back and read the chapters in weekly doses and follow along with the plan.

I found I liked this book more than I thought. It doesn't add anything new to what we know (or should know) about diet and exercise, but it does present it in a very user friendly way. The book is set up as a 10 week journey, so readers need only read one chapter at a time if desired. The author is focussed on taking small, baby steps to achieve weight and inch loss goals. More important, the ten week process is designed to turn steps into life long habits. She writes as if she's talking just to you and provides scientific and nutritional information in easy to understand language. The book also works as a workbook with lists of questions, suggestions, menus and other valuable information. It's simple, straightforward and motivating. Highly recommended.

A good weight loss plan, that speaks to wellness throughout and leaves the reader feeling they can do this! Its premise is that we all agree weight loss is difficult and overwhelming. With these logical steps anyone can start the process and lose weight without losing their mind.

A practical common sense book about taking action to loose excess weight in inches rather than seemingly simple poundage. This is a practical book with real common sense suggestions. Not only to help you live a healthier life, but to keep the stress away!

This book was such a fun read which isn't something I would normally equate with a diet book. SanFilippo takes a "one step at a time" approach to weight loss ensuring that one is never overwhelmed throughout their journey but also teaches a valuable lesson to serial dieters like me that one doesn't need to tackle their diet regime at full speed only to run out of steam after a few days. Filled with anecdotes, tips, tricks and bucketloads of motivation, this is an excellent book for anyone fed up of the fads and who's looking to conquer their weight problem once and for all! Highly recommend!
