I think I'm in love with all things Marietta, Montana! LOL I haven't been disappointed in a single novel or short story about this town. The people are just so heart-warming and the cowboys are HOT HOT HOT! lol So Matt (our hero) and Joelle (our heroine) have a past. Not exactly a happy happy past, but basically they lived under the same roof as children and there was some animosity .... etc (read the book for details lol) Now it's years later and Joelle is all grown up with a dream. In order to accomplish that dream, Matt's gonna have to play a part..... (again, details, read the book)
So the reunion was, for lack of a better term, quite HOT! lol The story was full of love and family, reconciling the past and allowing for a future, there was angst and tons of heart felt moments! It's really a good romance. I loved it all the way around!

4.5 Stars HOME FOR GOOD takes us back to Marietta, Montana. There are SO many hot cowboys in this town!

Joelle Winslow is home after a very long absence. She has been living in Manhattan, establishing herself as an up-and- coming jewelry designer. She returns home to Marietta because her father has had a heart attack. She does get there in time to see him. The last thing he tells her before he dies is that he wants her to follow her dreams. Joelle takes this to mean her dream of opening her own jewelry business with her partners in New York. This will require a lot of start-up money. Her father left half the ranch to her. She’ll have to sell it to come up with it.

Matt Locke was taken in by Carl Winslow after his parents were killed when he was twelve. Carl and his father had been friends, and since he’d never had a son of his own, he wanted to do this for his friend. Matt and Carl bond quickly, and Matt is grateful for a home and takes to ranch living and the horses, immediately. He wanted to learn everything there was to know about running a ranch and horse breeding. He felt he was at a place he belonged. Joelle had been living with her mother in California. When her mother remarried, she sent Joelle back to Montana to live with her father. When Joelle realized how close her father and Matt had become, she was jealous. The relationship between the two was strained and antagonistic. Now she is back – all grown up, out of college and ready to take the world by storm.

When Joelle sees Matt again, she is stunned by the man he has become. He’s so…HOT! There is electricity in the air when she is around him. What is wrong with her? She doesn’t like feeling this way around him. She probably just isn’t herself because of all the stress of losing her father and being back in Marietta. It IS good to reconnect with all her old friends.

This novella is a palpable love story and an emotional search for resolution to a daughter’s feelings of inadequacy. Joelle wants to do something that would make her father proud of her, never realizing how proud of her he has always been. The descriptions of Marietta were vivid and the story was written with a depth of feeling. It explores a tangled bond of father and daughter. It touched me deeply. Terri Reed has insight and compassion for her characters. She has written a beautiful and moving story. I was transfixed by Matt and his heart-wrenching dilemma. You will be, too.

***I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion***

Home for Good is book #5 in the Montana Born Homecoming series and it's not about a second chance in love like the rest of the books but more a second chance to come back home.

Joelle Winslow was only 6 years old when her parents got divorced and her mom took her away from their family ranch in Montana and for 2 long years Joelle didn't life on the ranch. Two years later she was able to convince her mom to send her back to live with her dad but as soon as Joelle came back home she found out that her dad, Clark Winslow adopted Matt Locke after both his parents died in a car accident since Matt's dad was a close friend of Clark.

Joelle was very upset when she leant that Matt is living on the ranch since he's the son her dad always wanted and she felt unwanted. Joelle and Matt never got along and during their childhood and when Joelle moved away to college at the age of 18 she didn't come home to visit.

Just before Joelle's dad died he made her promise him that she will follow her dreams and Joelle's dream is to open a big jewelry designs business but in order to make that dream a reality she needs to sell the ranch but it's not going to be easy since Matt got 50% of the ranch when her dad died.
Matt hates the thought of selling the ranch and moving to a different house, the ranch is the only real home he has and he wants to preserve Clark Winslow legacy so he's doing everything in his power to convince Joelle that she should stay in Montana and open a jewelry store in Marietta.

I enjoyed reading Home for Good and how Joelle was trying to make peace with her dad after he died and also to open a new chapter in her relationship with Matt. She understands that her dad did love her and that it was hard for him to show her his love in words and actions.

The more time Joelle and Matt spend together the more attracted they are to one another but they'll have to overcome past mistakes and find a way to be together.

Home for Good is a sweet and very emotional story, I enjoyed reading about Joelle and how she is trying to make her dream come true when she is not even sure what her real dream is. Matt had to overcome a tragic loss of both his parents but with the love of Clark he finds happiness on the ranch and the people who work at the ranch with him become his family.

Cowboys and Montana with happily ever after...
After a couple of heavy reads, I wanted something a bit lighter to read on a rainy autumn evening. Home For Good is part of a series, that I followed before, stories filled with families, legacies, and love that lasts.
Matt and Joelle had some misunderstandings from the childhood their shared, creating lots of competition, animosity, and unnecessary walls between them.
But now, as adults, they finally have a chance to get to know each other, clear up the air, and the attraction flares. It is a sweet and clean story, with dignity, loyalty, honor, and values. Just a good, solid read about small town Montana, families, friends, and love that has to face some obstacles before finding the home with each other. ~ Three spoons

I thought Home for Good was a great addition to the Montana Born Homecoming series. Growing up Joelle always felt second in her father's affection while Matt was the son he never had but always wanted. And after the death of his parents, Matt felt that the Winslow ranch became his new home. When Joelle returns to Marietta, she has plans for her future.

Home for Good is a sweet romance that makes for an enjoyable visit and return to Marietta, Montana. I'll be looking to read more from Terri Reed.

very good story of past hurts being turned into love that will turn into a future both Joelle & Matt want. As a young girl moving back to her father's ranch Joelle finds that her dad has brought someone else into the family. Matt lost his parents in a car accident & was raised by Joelle's dad to her utter dismay & dislike because she thought he was replacing her with Matt. Now all she wants it to have Matt love her the way she has figured out that she loves him. Great story will definitely be looking for more.

Home For Good is a marvelous story of overcoming the past. Joelle, the main character, has held misconceptions and jealously in her life for far too long. Terri Reed gives us a priceless lesson in reexamining childhood perceptions of life events. I get that she felt that her Dad replaced her with Matt, “the son he never had”, but found that to be a very selfish reaction on her part. Matt had lost both his parents; compassion not resentment was needed.

Matt is kind, compassionate and a hunk which Joelle discovers. Perhaps Joelle would have missed seeing this if she has come home sooner before she was ready to confront her memories. Who knows? Enjoyable book.

This was a story about Joelle and Matt and I loved it. Joelle's dad tells her to follow her dreams when he is dying and this leaves Joelle unsure about what to do. The characters were well developed and the storyline drew me in and kept me wanting to know what was going to happen. I have loved this series. Thank you for allowing me to read and review this book.
