HIS TO COMMAND -- Monica Burns. Part of her Self-Made Men series. Charlotte Clayworth ad John Fordyce were childhood friends until one evening when they got trapped together during a snowstorm and they discovered something more than friends between them. When John stated that they would marry because he had compromised her, Charlotte refused. The two separated for twenty-five years. Upon meeting again, John decides that he has waited too long for Charlotte. I found this story disappointing. The majority of the story was in the past and the resolution of the story was too quick for me. I also didn't like that their separation occurs merely because neither is willing to say that they are in love with the other. Rating: 3 stars.

THE KISSING BOUGH -- Madelynne Ellis. Viola Marsh was ruined when she was found with two men. She is only allowed out once a year to join the Christmas festivities. This Christmas she meets Percy Gilling and Lord William Ricborough. The two have heard about Viola's ruination and believe that she is exactly who the two of them have been looking for to complete their menage. I liked this story. I didn't get any romance in the story since Percy and Will look for Viola purely on her reputation and the story between them only spans a day. Putting that aside, however, the characters were interesting together. For a short story, it was an interesting read. Rating: 3.5 stars.

HAMISH -- Samantha Kane. Book One of the 93rd Highlanders. A menage story. Captain Hamish Fletcher is injured during the Crimean war. While being treated he encounters an old friend Dr. Phineas Harper. Phin and Hamish has an encounter when they were younger. Just at the point that Phin has found a woman to love and marry, widow Edith Lambeth, Hamish's return makes him question what he wants. I liked this story because there was an attempt to build a relationship between the characters. The complicated emotional connections between the characters are well done considering how short the story is. This is one of the better stories in the collection. Rating: 4 stars.

ALL A MISTRESS WANTS -- Eliza Lloyd. Eloisa Larkin has been the mistress of Adam Forester, the Duke of Sterling for four years. She has decided to end their relationship because she is in love with him and he is still in love with his wife who died five years ago. Eloisa's attempts to end the relationship shakes Adam out of his complacency. I really liked this story. Loved the characters and the set up for the story. I was somewhat disappointed with the quick resolution of the story that was necessary because of the short length. I wish the story was longer because it was a great beginning. I only wish that we could have gotten more about Adam's change of heart. Rating: 4 stars.

A CHRISTMAS KISS -- Jess Michaels. Amelia, the Countess of Blackgrove was happy because she married the man she loved until she learned morning after her marriage, that her husband Stephen married her only for her money. Six months later, Stephen has lured her to spend a week with him where he intends to woo her. Can Amelia ever trust him again? I liked this story because the conflict was kept short and contained which suited the length of the story. This was more emotional than erotic which I also enjoyed. Rating: 4 stars.

LOVING MICHAEL -- Kate Pearce. The story of Michael Waterstone, who returned from the wars in a wheelchair. He is approached by Angelique Delisle who is an ex-courtesan who intends to make him her last project. The story is 2.5 of the Diable Delamere series. I have not read the other books in the series and didn't feel the lack. I really ended up liking this story. Pearce manages to pack a lot into this little story. Again, I think this would have made a great full length novel, but I enjoyed the characters, the situation and the resolution. Rating: 4 stars.

Hot stories with happy Christmas endings but much too short. I especially liked the last story Loving Michael by Kate Pearce. Her handling of a wheelchair hero was excellent.

Cousin Percy & Lord Will Ricborough have always loved one another & wish for a special woman who will marry Will (to get an heir), but share him with Percy & welcome both men as her lovers & maybe love them both. So on this Christmas all 3 get all their wishes & have a very NAUGHTY MÈNAGE CRISTMAS! Ms. Ellis can write amazing mènage à trois GALORE & receives my top score of 5 fingers up & 10 toes for this romance with a gay twist that I actually enjoyed & gay romances aren't my favorite genre!

Hamish by Samantha Kane Hamish Fletcher is a KILT wearing hero who fights for his country, but also fights the intense addiction to Dr. Finn Harper. Now they worlds collide at a war hospital, where Finn has falling in love with the widowed nurse, Edith Lambert, but she is a extraordinary woman willing to share & embrace both her yummy doctor & her sexy KILT wearing Scot in her bed & heart. Ms. Kane made this quickie rock my world with her KILT wearing hero, a dashing doc & loving woman & as I stated before I am not into gay romances, but I give Ms. Kane my too score of 5 fingers up & 10 toes for this NAUGHTINESS GALORE!

All A Mistress Wants by Eliza Lloyd Adam Forester, Duke of Sterling, married the love of his life, had 11 wonderful years & had 4 great kiddos, but his duchess died & his has worn his black band of mourning ever since. Eloisa Larkin is dying inside as the mistress to Adam as he never lets his wife go, but she is willing to let him go to salvage her broken heart & dying soul. He begs her to come to his annual family Christmas one last time & hopes to win her back to his bed by doing all things NAUGHTY! Ms. Lloyd is a new-to-me author & I give her my top score of 5 fingers up & 10 toes for this quickie of clueless male stupidity of romance filled with a house party & meddling family!

A Christmas Kiss by Jess Michaels Amelia had always been dazzled by Stephen & was in heaven when he courted, married & introduces her to SCFEAMING orgasms, but all changed the next day when she learns that he only married her for her money, so, she did what any woman would do & fled. Ms. Pearce created a quickie romance filled 2 lonely & wounded souls who embrace one another, warts & all, & she receives my top score 5 fingers up & 10 toes for her brand of extraordinary decadence.

Let me try and tell you the AWESOMENESS I read in just a few words. These are short stories and some will leave you wanting so much more from the couples, so it is difficult to say TOO much because you give the plot away and what fun would that be...
Monica Burns HIS TO COMMAND: New author for me and I am delighted! This was such a wonderful friends to lovers story but not a smooth transition! You take a shy girl (unwilling to let her feelings known) and a typical boy (open mouth insert foot) and you've got yourself a 25 year misunderstanding that joyously rights itself in the end! I MUST tell you, John's got himself a little Dom in him and Charlotte likes it! ;)
Madelynne Ellis THE KISSING BOUGH: Such a sweet story of a lonely and misunderstood girl who society shunned over a misunderstanding of something that never actually happened. But lucky for her, it is that very misunderstanding that grants her long awaited Christmas Wish! Sweet menage, very sexy and kinky and cute!
Samantha Kane HAMISH: (my first cry in this anthology) I can't say this loud enough ... I LOVE EDITH! But oh I also love me some Ham and Finn! GAWD, I ached for Ham! But Edith just fixes everything ;) I have to say that out of all the stories, this is the one that ended too soon for me. I really wanted to read their story through 'Christmas' but :( it wasn't written that way and I was sad BUT it did have me running to put the CONALL on my TBR! It goes without saying that Samantha Kane is absolute perfection in her writing of menages and war time. Just take a peek at her Brothers in Arms series! ....... Can you tell she's one of the two writers I was VERY excited to read :) lol Eliza Lloyd ALL A MISTRESS WANTS: New author for me and again I am very pleased! My heart was in my throat for 75% of this story. I knew what was coming and it never prepared me for the anguish I felt for Adam, because I KNEW he felt! (thank God for Mothers, right?!?!? lol) Ms Lloyd's writing put me RIGHT THERE in the room! It was THAT compelling. I couldn't get enough of this story. I was sorry to say goodbye when it ended, but it wasn't abrupt. It was perfectly sweet and heartwarming. The perfect warm Christmas spirit read :)
Jess Michaels A CHRISTMAS KISS: This beautiful story has given new meaning to 'The 12 days of Christmas' and has made WOO my new favorite word! :) and OH MY GOODNESS can Stephen woo! ... the song put me over the edge. I cried. I'll admit it. And trust me, you will too! MUST READ! GAAAH!!

I got this one from Netgalley for an honest review. First of all, I was only interested in this book because of two of my favorite writers if it comes to regency romance – Jess Michaels and Kate Pearce.
“Wanton Christmas Wishes” is a book offering 6 novels by bestselling writers – “His to command” by Monica Burns, “The kissing Bough” by Madelynne Ellis, “Hamish” by Samantha Kane, “All a mistress wants” by Eliza Lloyd, “A Christmas kiss” by Jess Michaels and “Loving Michael” by Kate Pearce. I think that this is a nice mic and I don’t want to write a lot about each and every story because they are all pretty short, too short for my taste. All of them are set around the Christmastide and are about love, passion and complicated relatioships. After reading all of them I really have to say that I picked my favorite three – “The Kissing Bough” because it was something new from the storyline, something different and the storyline was well developed. I hadn’t read anything by Madelynne Ellis before but probably will in the future. Than there was of course “All a mistress wants” by Jess Michaels – is there a Jess Michaels novel I don’t love? Nope. The title more or less implies already what the story is all about. It’s short, sweet and erotic. The same is to say about “A Christmas Kiss”. If you know the storyline of Stephan and how it got insured and all those background things than you will really love it. It’s hot and passionate, its about a handicapped person who has to find himself again and a Mistress who doesn’t want to be a Mistress anymore.

All of them are easy and short, they are erotic, and steamy – I mean why else would I read Kate Pearce and Jess Michaels if I don’t want to deal with it? Reading those you get all hot and bothered and that before Christmas … Rating: 5*****

I will say this set of stories is HOT!!!! A good set of authors provided a good series of stories. Loved them.

The word Wanton in the title should alert even the slowest of readers to the likelihood of some erotic content and this didn't disappoint. I wasn't familiar with all the authors although I am already a big fan of both Kate Pearce HIS TO COMMAND by Monica Burns. While the length of time the two had to wait made me very sad, I seriously loved the secret, naughty lovemaking and think that I would really like to read more of the stories by Ms. Burns. She knows how to write her sexy times! THE KISSING BOUGH by Madelynne Ellis. this is the fist i have read of the author I love violala Marsh, who kept on trying to find love even though she’d basically been abandoned by all of society and her family. Thank goodness for Percy and William, who dared to look under the mistletoe on Christmas Eve and found the most beaut willing lady. The lady that would make their perfect match complete! This is such a wonderful deal! Six excellent Christmas tales that will make you decidedly hotter during the holiday season. The stories are emotional and heart felt and very steamy. I did not want to see them end, glad to know that some belong to a series, more to add to my reading list. Be aware that some do include MMF ménage so if that is not your thing this read may not be for you. If the cold weather has you down I recommend this hot read to keep you warm at night. I loved it!

This was a great quick read and look forward to reading more of the stories in the Self-Made man series.

This story is not my cup of tea, but it was very well written.

Hamish by Samantha Kane

Edith Lambeth has fallen in love with Dr. Phineus Harper. What happens when his former lover Captain Hamish Fletcher comes back into the picture and Edith finds herself attracted to him too.

Another one that was not my cup of tea, but again it was a well written story.

All A Mistress Wants by Eliza Lloyd

Eloisa Larkin has done the one thing a mistress should never do, she has fallen in love with her protector. What happens when he asks her to spend one last Christmas with him and his family?

This is my first story by this author and I really enjoyed it. I'll be checking out more of her work.

Loving Michael by Kate Pearce

Can a wager with Angelique Delisle, an ex-courtesan, give Michael Waterstone back a part of his live that he thought lost and much more?

A well written story that makes me want to run out and get the other books in the series.

A Christmas Kiss by Jess Michaels

What will Amelia, Countess of Blackgrove, do when she finds out her husband has tricked her into spending time with him? Stephen knows that he messed up and Amelia had every right to leave him. Can he win back her love.

As always, Michaels has turned out a very well written short story. Bravo!

An excellent collection of fiery and lovely stories!

Whew...hot! This was a very steamy and read-worthy collection. A couple of novella dealt with threesomes, a little disconcerting for me but certainly a personal choice. Each story was surprisingly complete for short stories and utterly satisfying. Half read more erotica than romance but the other half were good romantic erotica types. Read on a snowy night by a roaring fire...wait scratch that...no fire needed...this book will keep you plenty warm!

This collection of not only heartwarming holiday reads, but sizzling and sensual as well, leaves the reader fulfilled in more ways than one. Each and every tale in this well written anthology is unique and exciting. As a reader of both Monica Burns, Jess Michaels and Samantha Kane, it is a pleasure to continue to read works by them as well as find new go-to authors like Madelynne Ellis, Eliza Llyod, and Kate Pearce, who I have added to my must read lists as a result of reading Wanton Christmas Wishes by all of the above authors.

Each and every slice of life is a epic in itself. Whether it be the finding of a new love or the reawakening of it, these masterful, erotic historical tales are a must-read for any discerning reader. I highly recommend Wanton Christmas Wishes to one and all.

What I enjoyed from this novel.....

"Wanton Christmas Wishes" had a lots of unfamiliar authors for me but I must say they were all a interesting bunch of writers (six) where I found the stories were well written and enjoyable. This collection of fabulous anthologies will have a little for all readers...from erotic passionate romance friends to lovers, Highlanders, love songs, 'orgasms,' kilts and even some kinkiness. This is definitely one of those reads that you will have to pick up and read it for yourself and see where that author will take you.

Overall I thought this was a delightful Adult Christmas reads about love, passion, forbidden love, love triangle and complicated relationships. I loved how these author kept there stories moving being mostly short, sweet and yes....steamy and erotic. If you are in for enduring love with some sensual festive cheer to some historical erotica you have come to the right place for "Wanton Christmas Wishes" will give it to you.

All six of these very sexy stories, set in 19th century, are written by accomplished authors in the erotic/romance genre. If you are looking for some spicy, easy reading on a cold winter’s night to warm you up, then you have come to the right book. There is sizzling romance here as well as some kinky stuff with mild BDSM and ménage. They are all short reads that will not take up your time during the holiday rush but may leave you with a smile.

A lot of anthologies disappoint due to the fact that many authors don't take the time to develop their characters in these short novellas. This was not the case here.

I found all of the stories in this book developed, engaging and steamy. It was all it promissed. I completed every one, wanting more from the author and missing the characters I had just met. If you like Christmas romance romances, these will not disappoint.

So overall I liked this Christmas book. I feel like there is a little bit of everything for everyone in here. If you want to bundle up and feel the heat that these authors create with their well written words then this the book for you!!!

HIS TO COMMAND by best-selling author Monica Burns starts this book off in a very good way! Long time friends Charlotte and John get stuck in a blizzard and do some things that leave her compromised in the biggest way. John does what he knows needs to be done and proposes to Charlotte. Not surprisingly a lack of communication leads to broken hearts and years wasted. John and Charlotte meet again and now John is man enough to show Charlotte just what she has missed out on.

THE KISSING BOUGH by Madelynne Ellis.
This book had me laughing because this poor girl is just really having a hard a time of it. Now to clarify it I was not laughing because her situation was funny but because if I was in that time this would happen to me. I am known for being in the wrong place at the wrong or right time depending on your view of things. Luckily for Viola Marsh she doesn't have to choose between the naughty and nice cousins she gets them both!

HAMISH by Samantha Kane Captain Hamish Fletcher and Dr. Phineus Harper knew each other when they were teenagers. Edith Lambeth works with Phineus and after many nights of saving lives has fallen in love. When Edith notices the attraction between the two men she cannot help but play the naughty nurse and make all of their Christmas wishes come true.

ALL A MISTRESS WANTS by Eliza Lloyd This story hit me the hardest. It actually brought tears to my eyes, I really felt for Eloisa. The Duke of Sterling has had Eloisa as his mistress for many years taking care of her every need. Fortunately for him Eloisa realizes that he cares for her and has fallen in love with him. Unfortunately for him caring is not enough for Eloisa. She wants her love to be returned because gifts will not keep her warm this winter. She wants a man..she wants her man the Duke of Sterling! This was a very good read.

A CHRISTMAS KISS by Jess Michaels.
Amelia thinks she is marrying for love, Stephen knows he had to marry Amelia for her dowry. After one night of romance the truth comes out. Stephen uses everything he think of to get Amelia back. Can what started with lies be saved by Christmas? Lets see if Stephen has what it takes to win Amelias heart.

LOVING MICHAEL by Kate Pearce.
Michael Waterstone has returned from the peninsular wars and for lack of a better description he is bored with his life and tired of his restrictions since he has returned from the war. Fortunately for him, ex-courtesan Angelique Delisle is exactly what he needs to make all of his Christmas wishes come true!

I hadnt been introduced to any of these authors in this book but I will be keeping an eye out for their work.

I rated this series four stars, I requested and received Wanton Christmas Wishes free to give a review on this series. I want to say this series is my first time reading the Authors of this series but I know I will be reading more of their books. I will I found I could have readied on and on with this series, because it's short, great and marvelous!!!!
I enjoyed reading Wanton Christmas Wishs, I think you will find that there is something for all here. This series of stories is hot and you will feel the heat and you may need (a change of unmentionables ) fan. The authors have written great stories, and if you can stand the heat, then this is a book you want to read!!!
