Are you looking for a fun, romantic read from down under? Then The Hero by Amy Andrews is the book for you. To begin with, the cover is colorful and hot. Secondly, the book blurb instantly draws you in, and lastly, the originality of the storyline is a roller coaster ride that twists and turns in all the right places.

Edwina Calloway and Justin Wilde were Australia's sweethearts, and to this day many of their fans would like to see them fall in love again on the small screen. They used to work together on a very popular medical drama, until Justin moved to Hollywood to pursue a movie career. Edwina is still on the show, just without a love interest. Their chemistry onscreen and off-screen was like molten lava, but Edwina was married at the time and took her vows very seriously. Now a few years later, Edwina is divorced and a survivor of an accident that almost took her life. In order to raise money and recognition for the organization that saved her, Justin joins Edwina on a five-day celebrity car rally, which naturally brings them closer together. After dealing with the always intruding press, an amateur photographer and a ruthless ex-husband, they are finally able to embrace a future together.

Another successful book from Tule Publishing. I really liked this story. I felt the heat and constant sexual tension between the main characters immediately. This book has a unique plot, along with a cast of characters that are very interesting, funny and gossipy. Edwina and Justin are perfect for each other, which is apparent throughout the storyline. No matter the circumstances, the fans are very devoted and loyal to their home-grown celebrities, who are down to earth and honest. Overall, a nice, feelgood read with a bit of spice.

Holy crap, y’all! The sexual tension between Edwina and Justin is boiling-oil-over-the-castle-wall HOT!! They connect so well and you believe that it would have goddamn hard to avoid giving into it in the past. I loved that neither had given in, but they still acknowledged that there was something there back then.

There are a couple of false starts to the sexytimes along the way, but as always, Amy never fails with the delivery of high-quality hot stuff.

I love how the threads of the previous book and the next one wind their way through The Hero, and I really love the idea of the car rally. I could see the beautiful countryside in my mind as they passed through in the book. The back story, which is really important to the progression of the romance, is perfectly done. Yes, I too would like to give a certain character a visit from my knuckles – when you see what I mean, you may just wish to join in the punchy.

Loved it!! Just a delicious read.

Edwina and Justin have a history, and now they are forced to ride for days in a car together. Needless to say, they don't make it far before they are at each other.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover an intriguing story element that I won't discuss (SPOILERS). It made the characters more real instead of some of the shallow behaviors I expected from the beginning of the story.

The Heo is a good book, worth the time of reading.

4.5 stars! I’m a big fan of Amy Andrews’ books, whether they’re medical or straight romance, I always enjoy what she writes and this is no exception. A hot, fun read it doesn’t do anything to disguise the heat between the two main characters.

They want each other, badly, it’s just that Edwina would rather not play out their relationship in front of the press. Which is understandable, if a little mean, considering how much time they have to spend together. Unsurprisingly things get pretty heated between them as the rally goes on – and even when they don’t, there are plenty of fantasies to keep the pulse racing.

Amongst all the chemistry that leaps off the page, there’s also a great road trip across some of Australia’s beautiful landscapes. This tale does an excellent job at capturing some of the magnificence of the country and made me long for warmer climes.

It might only be a short novella, but it somehow packs in the heat, the sweetness of a second-chance romance, the glory of Australia as well as the perils of celebrity. I loved it.

I really liked this one. Starring together in an Australian TV show is how Edwina Calloway and Justin Wilde first met. They had a strong attraction but since she was married they never acted on it. Justin left the show and found stardom in Hollywood. Being reunited in an Australian celebrity car rally proves that the attraction has never died. Now that she is divorced they are free to see where this will lead but doing it in the public eye proves to be tricky. This is a good one and I would definitely recommend it!

Book 2 in this Aussie series is hot and steamy! Two actors with a passion between them for years meet again for a 5 day charity drive. Their past is filled with feelings and tension that were kept buried because she was married and they both respected that. No longer married there is nothing to stop them. Tension filled car rides and stolen moments alone made this quite the steamy novella. There are four books in this series however each is a standalone story. My copy was given through Netgalley for an honest review.

The second book in the Hot Aussies Heroes Series is co-written by Amy Andrews, and I thoroughly enjoyed this passionate ride across the hot Australian desert.

Edwina Calloway and Justine Wilde were once co-stars in a popular TV show, before Justine moved to Hollywood pastures. They are now coming together after four years, to take part in celebrity car rally to raise funds for a worthy cause.

Justine had always been in love with Edwina, but kept his distance to respect her and her marriage. But now that she’s single, all bets are off and he has every intention of making her his own, and keeping her forever in his life. Edwina had always felt the instant pull towards Justine, and like him, had never acted on it by choice. But now that she’s got her messy marriage behind her, she is free to be with Justine.

I loved this story for the depth of its characters. Justine and Ed were so much in love with each other, yet had enough respect for the circumstances around them. As short is the story, Amy Andrews sure made their feelings an open book, as they struggled to overcome road blocks and insecurities. You can’t help but fall in love with these two precious people with hearts of gold, and put their needs on the back burner as long as they can. And I really liked how Amy brought into picture the life of artists and how much they are open to scrutiny and judgment.

This was one hot ride of love, passion and a promise of a future with happiness and laughter, and I really, really enjoyed The Hero…..and his heroine!

This is the second book in the Hot Aussie Heroes series. If, like me, you remember how when staring in Neighbours, there was lots of speculation regarding the off screen romance of Kyle Minogue and Jason Donovan, you’ll relate well to the background to this story. In this case the stars involved are Edwina Calloway and Justin Wilde. At the time when they starred in an Aussie medical series on television together the chemistry between them was rampant and they shared some hot scenes as part of the drama but back then Edwina was married and they both respected that and never crossed the line. After two years starring together (even having their own hashtag on twitter), Justin went off to Hollywood where he became a film star and continued to be a heartthrob. Last year, whilst filming for the school, Edwina was seriously injured in a stunt that went wrong, necessitating her emergency treatment and transport to hospital by the Flying Doctor service. To help raise funds for this tremendous service, the television channel she works for have organised a celebrity car rally and Justin has agreed to return to Australia to participate. The network have put the two together in the same car for the rally for the five day road trip. When the two meet up again, the chemistry is still explosive and something important has changed - now Edwina is no longer married. It seems like the whole country are watching them . . . Will their second chance romance flounder or flourish under the intense scrutiny?

There are more twists and turns in the story as Edwina’s ruthless ex-husband and agent tries to take revenge, the media keep watching and a young boy using his phone all contribute to the turmoil in this well written, enjoyable story. The strong characters and tension between the conflicting demands of jobs and love all help keep this pacy story a great read which I have no hesitation in recommending as a great to escape into romance.

My first read by Amy Andrews but, boy, was I impressed. The Hero, Hot Aussie Heroes Book 2 is a delightful, fun read in a wonderful new series. Edwina and Justin are thrown together on a car road rally after several years of no longer working together. Love the idea of the celebrity road rally with the media tagging alone.

I was hooked from the beginning but especially when It was made known that these two had been in a show together so it sort of a reunion for them. They were attracted to each other back then, but since Edwina was married, it was not pursued. I really like that Edwina and Justin show integrity in with or without the cameras watching. Now that both are free, I totally wanted them to get together. As their relationship sizzles while traveling through the country side of Australia, it becomes a marvelous read.

I’m looking forward to reading past and future books from this author.

The Hero is sizzling summer reading! Justin Wilde and Edwina Calloway have loved each other for four long years but the fact that Edwina was married when they met and later his move to Los Angeles to further his career means their relationship has never developed until now. A charity car rally sees Justin and Edwina thrown together in a car for five days as they trek across rural Victoria and NSW and along the way they find out just how right they are for each other. This book is light and easy to read. There is a fair bit of sex and at times that overtakes the plot but on the whole it offers the reader a bit of fun, a glimpse at parts of rural Victoria and NSW that international readers may not know about, and a sweet love story.

This was a fun, quick, scorching hot read and I really enjoyed it! Edwina and Justin have amazing sexual chemistry, it leaps off the page and pulls you right in. I thought this was an interesting take on a second chance at love type story line and it was remarkably free of extra angst and drama. This was a story about two people with strong feelings and excellent chemistry who finally have a chance to go for it. If you are looking for a light, fun, sexy read to while away an hour or two then look no further, this book’s for you. I received an ARC of this book from the publisher through Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.

Amy Andrews has brought her readers a romantic, sexy short read with The Hero. I devoured it and with a couple who sizzle together despite the intimacy being more tame, it packs an emotional punch.

"Their on-screen chemistry existed because their off-screen chemistry had bubbled and seethed and nipped at their heels for the entire two years they'd worked together."

Edwina Calloway and Justin Wilde were co-stars on the small-screen but they never crossed the line as she was married. Now divorced, and partnered in a car rally to raise money for the Flying Doctors, they discover their chemistry still burns bright and their feelings for one another are very much alive. Problem is the media have all eyes focussed on them.

"I doubt very much whether I can pretend to be the perfect gentleman around you, when all I want to do is drag you over the backseat and thoroughly debauch you."

With tension, heat, discoveries and emotion, Ed and Justin's were fabulous together and whilst their journey may not have held any particular surprises, it was romantic, heartfelt and a pleasure to read. Amy Andrew's knows how to create a couple to love and she doesn't disappoint.

3 - "Trust me your nipples are going to love it." Stars!

I am a big fan of Amy Andrews writing, her characters are likeable and her storylines although your standard romantic fare, are well written and easy to lose yourself in for a couple of hours.

The Hero is the second book in the Hot Aussie Heroes series, I haven’t read its predecessor and would say this can be read as a standalone. Edwina and Justin have history, having originally starred alongside each other in the hit Aussie television drama The Gift of Life, Justin up and left to the bright lights of Hollywood after two years on the show.

Now, two years later and Jus is back, and Ed is now divorced, so 5 days stuck in a car with each other in aid of charity is sure to re-ignite that old flame. A flame that was never fully extinguished, and that they never had the chance to explore due to Edwina being married.

She had a fire between her legs that was raging out of control and he was a big dose of accelerant.

As I said this novella doesn’t really offer up anything new in the way of story, but I have a soft spot for romances set in Australia, Jus and Ed were easy to get along with as was the plot, and Amy has mad skillz when it comes to delivering up some sexy times for the reader.

”Just so you know, Ed… I am going to be hard and deep inside you tonight.”

A quick and enjoyable read, and well worth a couple of hours of your time.

Edwina works for the film industry and is famous for a series on Channel 5 in Australia. She hasn't seen the Co star for two years and he is now invited to participate in a charity event where they have to work together again.

Justin is now a well known actor in the US but returns to take part in the charity event with Edwina. There has always been chemistry between them but they didn't act on it even though it was obvious when they were on screen. Edwina is no longer attached but she refuses to give in, in view of the photographers following them throughout this event.

When they eventually give in, away from the prying eyes of the media and planning to keep the fans guessing until the end of the event, something distasteful happens. To top it all, Edwina is exposed to adverse publicity regarding her private life but they are both determined to put things straight and out of this something quite unexpected takes place.

This is an easy to read romance, which held my interest throughout and I would recommend to those who like a good sensual romance.

Received an ARC fromTule Publishing through Netgalley. This is my first story by Amy Andrews and I loved it. It was such a fun delightful read with plenty of Sizzling Heat. Edwina Calloway and Justin Wilde are in for the ride of their life when they are put in the same car for a Celebrity Car Rally to benefit The Royal Flying Doctors Service. Edwina and Justin had been co-stars in a hit Aussie television medical drama called The Gift Of Life a few years ago but haven't seen each other for a couple of years. Their Chemistry is Hot and has been simmering for about four long years. Edwina and Justin have always had a thing for each other but when they were co-stars they never acted on their feelings because Edwina was married and they were not going to cross that line. After two years Justin moved on and up to a Hollywood Movie Star but he has never forgotten about Edwina. Being severely injured in a stunt while filming Edwina finely comes to her senses and decides to divorce her cheating agent, husband and moved on with her life. This great road trip across the land down under is to help raise money for the Royal Flying Doctors who save Edwina's life is filled with Steamy, Sizzling Hot Chemistry. But will these two give their love a chance or will they let it slip through their fingers. Loved this story, the scenery of Australia, and the Scorching Heat between Edwina and Justin. 5 1/2 stars.

This is a quick and easy read with the authors trade mark sizzle. Not quite as intense as some of her full length efforts but the special thing about the sizzle is that it really works in the context of the story. The intense attraction between Edwina (Ed) and Justin (Jus) is as much a part of them as breathing and just as believable.

The story takes place over the five days of the rally that is to raise funds for the Flying Doctor Service which saved Edwina's life a year ago. The accident also precipitated her divorce from her douchebag husband who was also her agent. It was her marriage that stopped the attraction between Edwina and Justin being acted upon so now everything has changed.

I loved the relationship between the two of them. It is obvious they are friends and have a lot of respect for each other apart from the physical attraction. I liked that they did the right thing by her marriage...which made it possible for me to accept the Hero was a movie star rather than a soldier which was my first thought when I saw the title.

I wasn't overly keen that both hero and heroine had sexual histories that I couldn't ignore easily but that's a personal thing and most people I'm sure wouldn't be bothered. It was all above board and as mentioned earlier, respectful of her marriage.

Overall this is a great little read with a hero and heroine you will adore and some trademark (if slightly muted) smexy from the author.

Have I told you how much I love Amy Andrews's writing? No? Well, let me make it clear. She writes some of the best and most relatable characters.

I could so easily identify with Edwina and Justin. They starred in a tv show together and their chemistry was off the charts, they each had a thing for the other, but they didn't do anything about it since Edwina was married at the time. KUDOS for them! I love that Amy made the characters faithful and loyal(even if Edwina's ex was a jerk). Justin just couldn't handle being around her without having her so he left Australia for the bright lights of Hollywood. Well, when he comes back for a fund raiser and is paired with the recently divorced Edwina, sparks once again fly between them and this time there isn't anything holding them back.

This book spoke volumes to me and I'll gladly reread this at some point in the future.

Quick, hot, fun and easy read, perfect for a weekend entertainment.
The couple, Edwina and Justin are charismatic, attractive, and likable. The chemistry between them is something fierce. And the author sets the fireworks off in a talented way. Four years of denying attraction sets off, and there's no going back from that. The story gets more depth from the sexy part, when the tabloids get a picture of Ed and Justin together, and jealous ex throw Edwina's intellectually impaired sister to the media in a wrong light. Completely romantic ending to the story, as expected, made me sigh and smile.. There would have been material for a full length novel here, but this part of the story made a lovely, yet steamy, novella, part of the new Aussie series from Tule Publishing.

SOOOOOOOOOO much better for me! This is book 2 in the 'Hot Aussie Heroes' series written by various authors. The first in this series did nothing for me, but I decided to keep going and see what happens. Well I am glad that I did!
So Edwina and Justin share a past. They were co-stars in a show and had been attracted to each other, but the line was never crossed because at the time, Edwina was married. But now she's divorced and Justin and her find themselves once again in 'close quarters'! Will they be able to deny each other this time around? Do they still have enough spark left in them?
Well, the answers are no and ABSOLUTELY! lol Justin had left Australia for Hollywood because he just couldn't take the pressure of being near Edwina anymore if he couldn't have her for his own. He comes back to Australia years later for a fundraiser and is paired off with Edwina. Well, let's just say those sparks were still flying high and this time around, there was absolutely nothing to hold them back!

AWESOME read and I highly recommend to anyone!

Edwina Calloway and Justin Wilde had played Grace and Owen in A Gift of Life, a Channel 5 program, several years previously. They had a very noticeable chemistry but Edwina had been married to Dale at the time. Justin left the show and had been at the other side of the planet for 2 years. Now they are both at a charity car rally, which will take 5 days. They would go from Victorian Highland to Byron Bay. The charity was for the Royal Doctors Flying Service, whom had helped saved Eddie's life last year at a freak accident on location. Channel 5 had promised one million dollars over the course of the week. Justin had since become a movie star, having completed three movies in two years. Eddie and Justin still felt the same way about each other but this time she was free. This was a very good book. I really enjoyed reading it with the ins and outs of their relationship. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes a romance book with a good storyline.

What a fun story! Edwina and Justin had the chemistry but not the availability when they worked on a tv show together while Edwina was married. Now divorced, she is free to be with Jus though the eyes of the press are watching as they ride in a charity car rally together. I liked the premise of the story, and I was glad to see that there was no cheating involved and that neither had succumbed to temptation while Edwina was married (even though her husband was a jerk). There is definite sexual attraction between them from the first page and it was only a matter of time before they succumbed to it, press be damned, leading to some hot and steamy love scenes. There wasn't a lot of conflict, it was more of a waiting game to see how long they could keep each other at arm's length. I enjoyed the setting, with the great descriptions of the Australian countryside. It moved at a swift pace, both characters were interesting and likeable and the ending was lovely. 4 stars!

Have you ever imagined your favorite on-screen couple become a real-life couple? If this has a Brangelina ring to it (remember Mr. & Mrs. Smith), then you are right.

In this outback romantic adventure, author Amy Andrews reunites the darling of the Aussie small screen, Edwina Calloway, with her ex co-star the hunky Justin Wilde who had gone to Hollywood and made it big.

Home for a charity event, Justin was paired with Edwina to drive with a convoy on the Australian outback as a promotional tour and to raise money for the Royal Doctors Flying Service.

Though it might have been years since they were together, but their chemistry still sizzles. Their attraction to each other cannot be denied; the question is can they keep their hands off each other? After all, they are very much in the public eye!

The Hero is a fast and easy read about two lovable characters. From page one, you actually make bets with yourself on what chapter Edwina and Justin will be together. It’s also a surprise ending!

The Hero is Rated M for Mature due to sexual content.

The second book in the "Hot Aussie Heroes" series was good, but not one of my favorite and it has nothing to do with the characters chemistry.

Edwina Calloway and Justin Wilde two very good looking TV actors who used to work together and were very attracted to each other; just one problem, Edwina Calloway was married and these two respected that very much (bonus points for that).

Well, it's a couple of years later and Edwina finally divorced her ass of a husband and agent. That right there is why the book lost points with me, her ex-husband was an ass and is still an ass through the book and Edwina doesn't put and end to him and break off all ties until almost the end of the book.

Justin in the book was described as like an OMG good looking movie start (in my mind he looks like Chris Evans) and despite being a super successful star, he really comes across as a really great and down to earth guy.

Overall, the book was great and the characters have incredible chemistry. As you read, you literally think "why did it take them so long to come together?" but any good story builds up your expectation and this one really delivered. Storywise it's a 4 star, but my issue with Edwina is what knocked down to a 3.

The second book in the Hot Aussie Heroes, I thoroughly enjoyed. Edwina and Justin are ex costars, with a mutual attraction but never acted on it. Edwina is now divorced and Justin has returned to Australia. They are in a celebrity car rally to raise money for the Royal Flying Doctors Service. In a car for the next five days together, will a sizzling romance develop.

This is a fun, sizzling quick read that will keep you turning the pages. Love Amy Andrews writing.

4 out of 5 stars! Edwina's (Ed) life changed forever after her life threatening accident about a year ago. Now to honor those who saved her life, she plans to participate in a car rally with her ex-costar turned movie star Justin (Jus) to earn some money for her saviors. However, in the midst of the media spotlight old attraction flares between Justin and her, which makes them really think about what they want for themselves in the future.

Justin really is the hero! He’s so gentlemanly and sultry that it makes you wish he were the one loving and defending you. His relationship with Edwina is combustible from the very beginning; and as the novel progresses, it makes you want to root for them even more.

I recommend this novel for those looking for a fast-paced dramedy contemporary romance.

HOT!! Wow at the chemistry between Justin and Ed. Man, I thought I would combust right along with them if they didn't hook up soon. Wow!
Well written and well developed plot and characters. I'm usually not as easy to please in a shorter book or novella because it sometimes feels rushed or lacking, but in this case it does not. A complete story un rushed from beginning to end. Very enjoyable and very very hot!
