Simplicity at its best. Baby Sees Fairy Tale Creatures is exactly what it is. It is fun, simple and eye catching, for baby that is.
I would have loved to see a little more but I had to remind myself that it is a board book for babies. I would have definitely picked this up for my kids when they were wee little lords.
I love the simple single image for each creature and then the contrasting patterned page using the same image. That was a nice touch

Baby Sees Fairy Tale Creatures is a fun way for parents who love all things fantasy to introduce their children age appropriate fantasy creatures.
The black and white images of the book has a positive benefit to young babies and helps to encourage focus. The illustrator alternates between simplistic images with some details and silhouettes of the creatures introduced.
This book can also be used to start introducing the concepts of numbers as there are different amounts of the fairy tale creatures on each page, allowing you to broaden its use.
The one thing I would have liked to see for the book to be a touch longer.
I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest feedback. Thank you to the publisher and Net Galley.

This is such a cute children’s book! Perfect for itty bitty ones who can only see certain colours. I love this as an option to introduce them to fantasy early on. Can’t wait to add a physical copy to my littles bookshelf.

This book introduces the young ones to magical and fantastical creatures founds in fairytales, with a much simpler design and their silhouettes! The contrast of black-and-white artwork is great! The art also features smaller corresponding elements which children would love to notice. You can play with shapes, recognise the silhouettes and count the patterns/designs!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.
