I liked how relatable this book was. It was also easy to pick up and put back down/read in chunks. I don't want to say it was a fun read but it was worthwhile.

If you’ve ever tried to maintain a spark while stepping on Legos and debating the optimal sippy cup, “Parents in Love” by Rebecca Howard Eudy is a reassuring guidebook every exhausted parent needs.

The author, a certified sex therapist and seasoned parent, lays out memorable wisdom.

My favorite lines?
“The content of your arguments is less important than the pattern your conflicts follow.”
Yes! Leave the debate over who took out the trash to the history books and focus on your dance moves (emotional, not literal… unless you want to).

"If readers take away only one thing from this book, let it be this: Taking the pressure off having sex is essential for increasing desire.”

The strategies for rekindling connection amidst Cheerios and sleep deprivation are practical and rooted in real science.
Speaking of science, it's a relatively dry book, which is why I give it 4 stars.

I'll leave you the Greatest Redundancy in Parenting Literature: “The body needs time to heal after childbirth, especially after a vaginal delivery or C-section.” (Kindle Loc 2571)
Oh, so not after birth by stork or teleportation?
What other childbirth method is there, Eudy?
The second clause in that sentence has to go!

P.S. This book is not on Goodreads as of Sept 25, 2025, so I can't review it there.

It's a great read for couples in the throes of parenting. It broaches conversations that need to be had in an informative but not so aggressive or superior way like some books like these tend to do, in their undertone. I genuinely recommend this for parents in every stage.
