Another absolutely amazing non-fiction reference book that we will need to purchase a physical copy of for our homeschool shelves! The illustrations are gorgeous- realistic but still clearly illustrations (just how we like it) and there's TONS of information, but presented in an easy to digest manner. My kids have really enjoyed looking through this one and we've learned a lot of interesting information about bridges that we truly never even thought about before. Definitely recommend if you have a budding engineer or just a family that enjoys a beautiful non-fiction for read aloud!

We are in a great age of children’s non-fiction. I love the illustration style in this book, I learned a lot of interesting facts about bridges and the images assisted greatly with understanding the new information. I think this is a great book for learners of all ages and I will be getting it for our library collection!

This reminds me of those fantastic books from when I was growing up with detailed pictures of castles and other buildings-- the amount of detail is stunning. But there's so much more!
I never really thought about the first bridges because it seems obvious now that when we can, we build something between two points to make it easier to get there. But humans saw other animals doing it first and the way we build bridges has changed so much over time.
This short book goes through all that, explaining things such as different materials and kinds of structures.
One of my favorite things was seeing other bridges around the world, like the longest and the highest. I'm afraid of heights but there's a tall bridge where I can pay someone to drive across for me!
This is a great book for home and school and a quality addition to every STEM collection.

This is a beautifully illustrated infographic-style book with fantastic information crammed (in a very organized way) into every page with bright colors. Perfect for children who are interested in engineering, trains, bridges, and learning! This is also great for STEM teachers to have as a reference book. The book even describes how to make a spaghetti bridge for a fun activity.

I highly recommend this book for all schools and libraries, and as a gift to a child or adult who would like this on their bookshelf!
