Fun little book about teamwork and why it is important for dolphins and whales (as well as children) not to wander alone.
Well, I love dolphin so much. I love the story. Very recommended for kids, esp. for 3-5 years old. However, I don't really like the image of Bubba. The lips are too thick. I always believe dolphin have sexy lips, lol.

This book covers the cute story of Bubba the dolphin and his meeting with a new friend, Ollie the Orca. When he first meets Ollie the Orca he is in trouble and needs help to be freed after getting stuck in a fishing net. The main message behind the story is to travel with someone else and not to travel alone so its excellent for younger readers without laying it on thick. The images are good too and its written at a good level for early readers. I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Ollie the Orca presents a cute little story about friendship. It shows how you can get through"impossible" situations with some help from friends. The language is brief and clear which makes the story easy to follow. The flow to the narrative is simple which would make it easy for early readers to read. The only negative thing is the artwork: it is hard to distinguish "terrified" from "joyful" in the characters facial expression.

Such a sweet little book for children showing them why there is safety in numbers when they go to play with their friends rather than alone! This is a pleasant story of how Ollie the orca whale, trapped in a net is rescued by Bubba the dolphin and Sammy the duck.
I read this book to my three children tonight before bed! They loved it! You can't go wrong with aquatic animals! My daughter particularly liked the dolphin and kept commenting on how it looks so much like a mermaid. I enjoyed the moral of the story as I have a 7 year old son who is prone to exploring the woods behind our apartment building alone. I hope he remembers this story next time he ventures out and invites his neighbor hood friends to explore with him. I also enjoyed the art in this book. I liked that some of the words were printed on the photos themselves. SPLASH! Very fun to see. I would recommend this book to any of my friends with kids!
