I really thought this was a book for healthcare workers who were interested in Reiki, but I decided to try it anyway. I am just a person who was interested in learning more about Reiki because I experienced a few sessions of community Reiki in the past. I thought I might want to sign up for a class in Reiki I The book answered questions and I didn't know I had, and was actually quite helpful for someone like me. There is enough information about healthcare and Reiki to also be beneficial for people in that field.

This book is beautifully written and is exactly what those who want to expand their knowledge on what Reiki is and how it works.

As someone who has recently begun her Reiki journey, I found this to be an incredibly useful resource with practical, well researched information to refer to. This is a fantastic book, and one I am certain I'll be referring to regularly as I continue to learn and train!

Reiki in Integrative Medicine bridges the ancient practice of energy healing with the realities of modern clinical care, offering a grounded, research-informed perspective on Reiki’s role in whole-person healing. The book aims to dispel common myths, respects the spiritual roots of Reiki, and invites both practitioners and skeptics into deeper understanding.

On the plus side Torok makes it easy to understand what a Reiki session is like, explaining things like whether you’ll be sitting or lying down, and what you might feel during a session. She also gives advice on how to find a practitioner which can be helpful as reiki is fairly unregulated. Her writing style and tone were easy to read and understand.

On the not so plus side, I think this book was a lot more basic than I had anticipated. As a reiki master I was expecting this to be something that would be useful in my ongoing education particularly as marrying clinical & spiritual healing can be tricky. I was excited for the research & studies and didn’t quite get as much of that as I had hoped. But I don’t think that’s anything wrong with the book so much as how it was described/marketed.

All I knew is that Reiki is love and love can heal all. What??? How do you explain that? I wish this book was available back then. Lori is amazing at explaining in great detail what Reiki is, what it isn’t, how it could help you and how to explain its journey without becoming a Reiki practitioner. I recommend this book to anyone that is curious about Reiki or to anyone who wants to explain to their friends and family what Reiki really is. This is a must read. She even had a question and answer section. Thank you Lori, for putting this book together and empowering us in this Reiki journey.

It is time to look at the health of the individual above what is seen with the eyes. Let's go deeper and explore all the healing capabilities of the divine energy and how it can aid modern medicine and beyond.

This was an easy and very informative read about reiki from the basics through to how to integrate it into the medical field. As a reiki master that uses reiki on a daily basis, I found this very interesting and a really positive view of the future where reiki can be part of the medical environment. For a beginner it describes a treatment and explains what reiki is and is not. A great read for all whether its advanced reiki practitioners or others who are just expressing an interest.

This is the exact book I was looking for when I started my reiki journey about a year ago but couldn’t find anywhere. Now it’s here! Yay!!!

Definitely recommend reading if you’re interested in reiki from any point of view: becoming a practitioner, receiving a reiki session or just curious about what reiki is. Wonderfully written book. A must read!

I began reading this book already being personally aware of how transformative a practice in Reiki can be within one’s life on multiple levels, physically, energetically and spiritually, and so much so sometimes I just want to yell it from the rooftops!!! And now I am so excited because after reading this book, I am sure the author and this book will be helping Reiki to reach so many people that may not have otherwise given Reiki a chance due to apprehension or unfamiliarity with what Reiki truly is and the immense healing benefits it can help bring forward. Just as the author’s first book, Forgiveness: Journey to a Clear Place, was my go-to gift for others, this will be another! Thank you, Lori, for taking the time to write this book.
