Birds of the Pacific Northwest for Kids would be a great reference book to have in the classroom for Social Studies or Science units focusing on the Northwest Region of the United States and birds. Great information, wonderful photos and especially loved the diagram of all parts of a bird to help encourage knowledge of a birds anatomy.

Birds of the Pacific Northwest For Kids (A Timber Press Field Guide)

A good taxonomic collection that would befit most school libraries. This book has many outstanding pictures. The book shares information about the animals and their adaptations with historical and cultural connections
Fantastic little book for middle to high school age students, as well as for adults! Excellent explanations of where to look, and what to look for when one is a beginning bird watcher. Chock full of excellent photography and interesting facts of each bird. Well organized and presented. Would also be a great reference book in school libraries, boys/girl scout troops, or PNW nature centers. I am definitely putting this book on the Christmas lists of my nieces, nephews, and neighbors! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book.

Lovely engaging work with great text and colors, informative and easy to get lost in. My child loves it almost as much as I do!
I received a free copy from the publisher through Netgalley and voluntarily reviewed it.
I like birds and when I saw this one on Netgalley I decided to request it. I don't live in the pacific Northwest, but I have read fiction books about this region and I like birds, so I decided to read it. I had a great time reading this book. I enjoyed learning about all these different birds and what they are like. There were some really interesting tidbits I learned about these birds. There are plenty of pictures and each bird has a bit of standard info like size, nest and song and then a paragraph about that bird. The book is easy to read and I liked picking it up and reading a few pages. All in all I had a lot of fun reading this book and I can definitely recommend it if you're interested in birds.
