I was introduced to this series by reading the novella “Where there’s a Will” by Katherine Garbera and Eve Gaddy and was more than happy to find this sequel to it. I certainly wasn’t disappointed. It is another great story, this time mainly concerning Trey Kelly , the eldest son of Boots Kelly whose will has caused turmoil amongst his sons. Trey hopes to purchase the farm adjoining theirs but Ariana Wright, who co-owns another adjoining spread, also hopes to purchase it to add to her lavender farm. Ariana has been reclusive since a car accident left her physically scarred and the desertion of her ex-fiance scarred her emotionally. The two are irresistibly attracted but Ariana is determined not to risk public humiliation by others commenting on her facial scars and she know she'd have to be seen in public at functions if she partners Trey. Can Trey help her overcome her worries and give their love a chance?

This is a great addition to the Whiskey River series and a lovely, enjoyable romance to get lost in. The impact of physical and emotional scars on the outlook and acceptance of others is key to this story and explored in a manner that makes it easy to empathise with all points of view expressed by the characters. This is a delightful story, a great read and I look forward to reading more in the series in future and highly recommend it to anyone who’d like romance in their reading!

Thanks to the author, publishers and NetGalley, too, for letting me read an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

One Night with the Cowboy by Eve Gaddy is the second book in the Whiskey River series and is about the eldest of Boots Kelly's sons, Trey, and Trey's childhood acquaintance, Ariana Wright. This doesn't really fall under the friends to lovers trope because Trey and Ariana were never really close friends when they were children, although they know each other to a certain degree. Trey is the poster boy for the perfect cowboy--he's a gentleman, he's sweet and kind, someone who knows when to have fun but also knows when it's time to get serious. Ariana's engagement ended when her then-fiancé took one look at the scar marring her face and decided she was no longer the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. I loved when Trey told her that he wasn't in love with her face; he was in love with her. Le sigh. Such sweetness and I really did enjoy reading their love story because they did seem well-suited as a couple.

Aside from the romance aspect, getting to know a bit more about Trey's brothers, Wyatt Kelly and Nicholas and Xander Blue, because then you find yourself anticipating the release of the other books in the series and finding out who these guys are going to be paired up with and how their stories will turn out. I was expecting one thing when these four brothers started living under one roof but was surprised by how things played out and whenever I'm caught unaware, it's usually a good thing, as is the case here. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of this series, especially since I was quite entertained with the first two books. They may have both been quick reads but they packed enough of a story and character development to keep my attention from start to finish. If you can only spare an hour or so, check out One Night with the Cowboy. It'll be an hour well spent. I'm giving this second book in the series four stars. ♥

Awesome read that lets us really get to know the Kelly brothers especially Trey. Trey loves the work he does with his cutting horses and has thought is life complete until he meets the reclusive newcomer, Ariana Wright. Ariana stays hidden away, fearful of the harsh words of others about the scar she carries after a car accident. Trey sees the beautiful woman behind the scar and is determined to help Ariana see her as well!

Can't wait for more from Whiskey River and I highly recommend this one!

I really enjoyed this book. The dynamics between the characters was great and I look forward to reading more from this series.

Trey Kelly didn’t expect to fall in love today. Nope, not on his agenda. And maybe he didn’t realize it at the exact moment he saw Ariana trying to crawl out of the freezing creek with the injured huge dog and his smaller companion beside them… but he would realize, in time, that that was the moment. Now he just had to set about getting her to realize that she was his.

Ariana had returned home to Whiskey River where she and her cousin had inherited their aunt’s lavender farm. Instead of selling off the blooms as their aunt had they had opened up a business in town and Ariana was at work in her lab producing the products, creams, lotions and such from the bounty of their fields. But they needed a factory and she needed more lab space and the plot of land between their lavender fields and the Kelly’s pasture was perfect. Too bad she’d have to compete against Trey to get it. After the car accident that left one side of her face with a zigzagged scar, Ariana had become somewhat of a recluse. She knew what she looked like now and after trying to rescue the injured dog and his little buddy… she really didn’t want to look up from the creek bank to see Trey smiling down at her.

I completely loved One Night with the Cowboy. Ariana and Trey’s story was sweet, sexy, engaging and such fun to watch two people simply fall in love. Oh sure, there were a couple bumps, all relationships have them – but even if it was a fast fall, it was a realistic fall. I would recommend this novel to anyone who believes in love and enjoys reading about couples that just work together. You looking for a fun, flirty, sexy quick read? Go pick this one up – you’ll enjoy.

*I received an e-ARC of One Night with the Cowboy from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. That does not change what I think of this novel.*

I as a reader have always enjoyed stories where outer beauty is not what draws two people together. My opinion is that it takes a very unique individual to look past surface beauty and discover the inner radiance. Eve Gaddy truly stole my heart with One Night with the Cowboy. The beauty of finding that treasure in the place that no one else deemed fit to look is the most beautiful gift of all. I was given an ARC of this story for an honest review. Heartwarming.

3.5 - "I'm tired of being careful. I'm going to have some fun." Stars!

Book two, in the Whiskey River series, gives us Trey Kelly and Ariana Wright's story. An enjoyable, quick read, that offers more development on the Kelly/Blue brothers as well.

Ariana has returned to Whiskey River, Texas to begin her life again, after a horrific car crash left her scarred, and dumped by her fiancé, the man who was actually driving the car. Confidence shattered, she now spends her days on her lavender farm, working on recipes for new beauty products. The Kelly Farm is right next door to Ariana’s, so it was only a matter of time, and a pair of stray dogs before her path crosses Trey's.

This was a really enjoyable story, I liked Trey, he was sweet, charming and romantic in all the right places. Ariana has a little bit of a martyr complex going on, which although understandable towards the end of the book, starts to err into the get over yourself category, a little but being a novella it was quickly sorted out.

You are also given definite tidbits and teases into who the rest of the brothers are potentially likely to end up with, and I cannot wait to see where the next book; One Night with the Tycoon takes us, and which brother will find himself firmly lassoed next!

One Night with the Cowboy is the second book in the Whiskey River Series. I have never read a book by Eve Gaddy and I must say I enjoyed it very much. I will definitely be looking for number one in the series. This is a easy, short read that held my interest from page one until the last page.

Trey is a cowboy through and through who loves his horses, his land and his family. He discovers he has two brothers he knew nothing about. They must live together for a year to honor their father's wishes.

Ariana is a chemist who has come home after a tragic accident and disasterous break-up. She and Trey reconnect and the sparks fly.

I really liked this book. It is the second in the Whiskey River series. Book one basically set us up with the premise of the series and this book starts us out with Trey's story. I am not one to write spoilers so I won't do a recap of the story...but know that Ariana and Trey's story is sweet and realistic. I look forward to reading more from this author and more about the remaining brothers. This is a quick read but the story is well developed, well written and enjoyable.

Despite being shorter than I originally thought it would be, One Night With The Cowboy was an easy, fairly entertaining read and it made me think a lot of Falling Petals since the general concept was somewhat similar. Ever since the car accident that left a long, zig-zaggy scar on the right side of her face, Ariana Wright has done her best to hide behind a length of hair and behind her doors. The scar has left her insecure and afraid to face people, concerned far too much with other people might think or say about her scar. So when she meets her neighbor, Trey Kelly, a man she had a crush on when she was a lot younger, she's a little shocked at his flippant dismissal of her face. He made her forget that it was even there, and made her feel beautiful again. There really wasn't much conflict in this book; Trey and Ariana were both trying to buy off a piece of land from a mutual acquaintance - he for his horses and her for the lavender lotions and potions that she and her cousin were working on.

I could have done with a longer story, but the little that was here was still an engaging tale to read. There were parts of me that were a little irritated with Ariana's woe-is-me persona about all her scars and even though Trey had shown that it didn't matter one way to him whether or not she was 'disfigured', she tried to push him away anyway. In the end, I'm glad that she worked through her self-esteem issues. I wish there had been a little bit more to this story. More conflict, more arguments, more ... a lot of things. But this was good and I didn't finish it feeling dissatisfied!

What a handsome bunch of good looking brothers! And I really liked how well they get along, even though it was a surprise to all of them, the half the brothers even existed. They accepted the will and its stipulations without too much angst and drama, and make the best of the situation at hand, and that's attractive!
Also, Trey's attitude with Ariana is delightful. They compete for the same piece of land, but they are friendly, kind, and accepting of each other, listen to each other, and actually hear and see what the other one is saying, trying to, again, make the best of the situation, and finding solutions when things don't go as planned.
I understood Ariana's hesitation to be around people, especially after her ex-fiance's attitude and reaction to her scars. But, like it was pointed out to her, the scars don't define her. She was making decisions only based on them, and I was so happy to see, she saw the light and got over it as soon as she did. This series is proving to be a fun and entertaining, perfect summer reading on a beach chair, so one click now to get it, and head out in the sun to enjoy the hot cowboy brothers finding their happy ever after

Ariana and Trey both want the same piece of property. She distrusts his motive's when he appears to want to pursue a romance. Ariana has a scar on her face as a result of a car accident, and her former fiancé dumped her after that accident. As she looks beyond the scar and opens up to Trey, a sweet romance develops. I look forward to future stories featuring Trey's brothers.

“One Night With The Cowboy” and I had a great time!!! This is definitely one of those books that will leave you with so much warmth, love and fun!! Loved the bond between the brothers, their conversations, wit and wisecracks are enjoyable and the entire situation and story just leaves the palette satisfied, yet wanting more.

Book two of the Whiskey River series is all about Trey Kelly, the eldest of the Kelly brothers, and the consequent books will tell us the stories of the other brothers, and of course looks like their intended partners may have come up in this book.

Successful and millionaire in his own right, Trey Kelly gets the shock of his life when he realizes that his dead father has two more sons and they are forced to live together under one roof for a year per his will. And in the midst of this situation, Trey finds himself falling for the Lavender farm lady and chemist Ariana Wright.

Ariana Wright comes back home after an accident that scared her physically and emotionally. A successful chemist as well as a business owner running her own line of products, she’s become a recluse and now has to face off with Trey for a piece of land that is require for her business.

Having a crush on Trey doesn’t help her situation and as they both give into their feelings for each other, her fears of disfigurement and insecurities hold back Ariana from making a commitment.

This is one of those off hand books that is a super sweet surprise package of romance and family and I am so glad I read it. It was just plain enjoyable and wonderful! It’s just the way Eve Gaddy narrates the story and for a short novella, she did a fantastic job developing characters, including the brothers. Loved the get-to-know-the-brothers around the pool table and it was so very well placed and versed. Same with Ariana and Trey, as she created magic between them and the progress of their love story was just so charming and irresistible.

Eve Gaddy and the Kelly brothers sure made quite an impression with me, and have me hooked!! I am so looking forward to reading the other brothers’ downfall into love…and I guess the characters are already in play.

The second book in the Whiskey River series truly introduces us to the Kelly/Blue brothers. And not only do we have a blossoming romance between eldest brother Trey Kelly and his neighbour Ariana Wright, but we start to see the dynamics forming between Trey and his brother Wyatt and their new-found half brothers Nicholas and Xander.

"You're way too pretty to hide half your face"

Sweet, romantic and with some intimacy, One Night with the Cowboy was an enjoyable read with an endearing couple. Trey is a gent who wears his heart on his sleeve and whilst Ariana was a little frustrating at times (understandable considering she has been left scarred in more ways than one following a car accident), she was an intelligent and fairly strong lady despite a lack of confidence.

With hints dropped as to possible future couplings, I'm looking forward to seeing how hard Wyatt falls in One Night with the Tycoon.

3.5 stars.

I was provided with a copy of this book via netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion and a review.

This is the first book i have ever read by Eve Gaddy i read allot of books and i no almost immediately when i have found another great writer and Eve is that.

This is the second book In The Whiskey River Series.

Trey Kelly is the Eldest son of Boots Kelly, He has it all. Trey works long and hard at running the Kelly ranch, his heart and soul is with his “babies”, Kelly’s Champs, the World Champion of cutting horses he breeds and sells. Women have always loved Trey and he loves them, but he’s never met the one his true love.

Until….... Ariana

Ariana Wright hides away from the world on her lavender farm which sits next door to the Kelly spread. Ariana is a smart as a whip, and an ambitious chemist, after her car accident which left her scarred, the success of her Lavender farm and her new line of lavender-based beauty products is all Ariana has and is interested in.

Convincing this ambitious beauty to take a chance on him and the love he has to give is a task that takes all of Trey’s determination.

Can Ariana let go of the wounds of her past?

This is a story of love and acceptance, It takes you on a journey of emotion, twists and turns.

The characters are just great i loved them all, Trey and Ariana are just perfect as the hero/heroine and they truly shined through. I loved the little bit we had of Trey's new found brothers,i can so sense more to come from them.

My only wish is that this book was longer :)

The Kellys's family lawyer read Boots Kellys will and all were stunned. Apparently, Trey and his brother Wyatt learned they got another pair of brothers who were going to split all of Kellys holdings. Trey was just reeling from the news about their surprise inheritance when he happened to see Ariana flat on her bum in the middle of his land, splashing water and seemingly injured. The reclusive Ariana Wright didn't really want to be seen in his land, if not for the incessant barking of a stray dog near her house. When she discovered the cause of the ruckus, that's when she stumbled and fell... into the hands of the gorgeous cowboy Trey.

Both parties initially were at odds with each other, because they both wanted the same land for their own personal reasons. But soon, a compromise was made and what followed was an intense and intimate kindling only Trey and Ariana could put off.

Can I just say, I got love-struck the moment Trey lent his helping hand to Ariana and the stray dogs? And then when Trey asked Ariana to have dinner with him? Oh yes, I am that mushy and sentimental. I instantly fell for Trey Kelley because he didn't mind Ariana's scar, her aloof attitude, her wayward behavior. Right from the start, I knew I was in for a saccharine kind of novel Tule Publishing is known for. Eve Gaddy made me feel good and cuddly!

Trey is one man who seems to have it all – he owns, breeds, and sells the famous, champion horses Kelly’s Champs; he has wealth beyond what most can imagine; and with both good looks and charm to spare, women love to love him, and he enjoys it all. He’s fine with how his life is – maybe one day he’ll find a woman he is interested in keeping around, but until then, life is good.

Ariana has a past that she’d like to forget, and maybe she could except one side of her face is scarred as a result of an accident that led to her life unraveling, and with every look in a mirror, or seeing the stares or hearing the whispered words of others, reminds her regularly of her disfigurement. A move to the country to live with her cousin has a two-fold purpose – she can tend to her lavender farm while she can avoid others. She knows Trey from her childhood – her crush on him never fully fading. She knows that she will need to encounter her handsome neighbor at some point because they both want to buy the small acreage that is for sale nearby, and the seller insists on the three of them meeting together.

When an injured dog leads them to meet in a way Ariana would have preferred to avoid, it becomes clear to Ariana that her crush remains as strong as ever, but knows it is hopeless – nobody, and certainly not Trey, would be interested in her given her disfigurement. Trey finds Ariana beautiful – in body and personality. And as soon as it looks like their relationship may grow into something more, Ariana pushes Trey away – refuses to see or even talk with him. Not the outcome Trey expected when he finally found a woman he was interested in keeping around for a while.

I very much enjoyed this book. There was some humor, some heart break, some romance, and woven throughout, an interesting story and backstory too. I am looking forward to what I assume will be additional books coming out on other characters introduced here. Thank you to the author and publisher for providing me with an ARC, from which this review is based, in exchange for an honest review.

3.5 Never Underestimate the Love of a Kelly Stars * * * 1/2

We all think Pretty, Beautiful people have it lucky...Everyone wants to know them, be next to them... love them. But what happens when tragedy strikes and the pretty girl is saved and recovers...but her pretty is now not so perfect... she has scars on that face all were in love with...How does she see herself now...How will others see her....

This is actually a serious question, not as superficial as it may seem at first glance. Because we grow up with our bodies and face... watching the changes which slowly evolve, becoming use to the reflection we see in the mirror; the reactions from friends and family and then the public and lovers. If you were thought to be this beauty, consider how hurtful and damaging it would be to overhear your "fiance" tell someone on the phone how he couldn't have a "maimed" wife...how it wouldn't fit with his game plan. And when confronted about this conversation he was having in the hospital where his Fiance was recovering from the accident he caused...Said asswipe told her yes, he felt that way and walked out.

This is what happened to Ariana. She pulled herself together and joined her cousin on the Lavender farm, Champs de Lavande, the inheritance from their late aunt. It was a successful endeavor; the perfumeries and other companies which used the crop made it profitable to run. Ariana, though, brought something special to the business. She was a chemist by trade with years of experience in the industry. Together with her cousin, they were now making their own special blends of products with parts of the crop. Now with an adjacent ranch next door finally for sale, Ariana and Juliette wish to acquire it for possibilities... more crops or even a factory to produce in volume the latest cream Ariana was creating. There was only one hurdle in their way ....

The Kelly's of Whiskey River, Texas.

They wanted this land to increase their award winning stable, Kelly's Champs. They trained, boarded and bred the best in the business when it came to horses. The family was an institution and almost all of the business in this region had something to do with the Kelly dynasty.

And speaking of Dynasty... there had been a shock to the system for Trey and his brother Wyatt. Upon the reading of the will for their eccentric and willful father... they found out, not only did they have 2 other brothers by other women but due to the specifics of the will, all of them have to live on the same ranch, split the businesses and stay like that for an entire year....otherwise they get cut out.... with zero, zip, nothing.

A meeting with the seller for the property both Trey and Ariana want has been arranged. It cannot be done without Ariana being there. She wants to be there as much as being stung by a 1000 bees. Trey was her crush...a crush no one ever knew she had... and to have to see especially him or even anyone else is just to difficult, almost painful.

For the scars from the fateful car accident may have healed as best as they could from the extensive surgeries...but the woman has not. She would rather be out in the small building on the her farm working on "lotions and potions" then have to hear all the comments said to her or behind her back. Most mean no harm... but the staring, pointing or children asking "why is the lady like that Mommy"... it just is too much. Ariana knows mentally she should be grateful; her scars and accident were nothing like others which have had to deal with much worse...but she keeps hearing her ex say those words in her head...and feels like she is not the person she was before and would rather hide from all.

Ariana should have known, her day was going to be crappy; it turned damp and rainy on her ride. While she was thinking of how to get out of the meeting with Trey Kelly, she is met by a dog who is barking and running back and forth trying to get her attention. She follows the dog as much as she can on horseback but then has to go on foot to the place where she is being lead. There in the middle of a rain-river is a huge beast of a dog trapped. It looks like its back legs are stuck. Ariana works her way down to the animal, tries a couple of times to move it only to twist an ankle and jam a wrist in the process. With her ass up in the air, her leaning and dragging the big dog as best she can... Trey shows up.

Now there was a sight, thought Trey...Even with soaked, muddy clothes and hair sopping wet bent over like that... he could see it was Ariana. He called out just as she was making a little headway and down she went again. Always the gentleman, he refused to listen to her grumbling and first carried her to a clearing and then maneuvered the dogs too.

He was struck by her eyes as she glared at him...he remembered her from their youth and always had a soft spot for her. He thought she had grown into a fine woman and heard of all the accomplishments she had achieved. He also heard a bit about some ex and her accident but nothing which came to mind at the time. He had always thought her pretty and nothing had changed... As Ariana tried to gather herself up to get back to her tied horse... she stumbled and groaned. Trey wasn't having her move around like that and politely explained she needed to get into his truck... she was in no condition to walk on her own. Concerned about the dogs, she declined... she needed to get them to her home. Trey explained he would take the dogs and her to his ranch, call the Doc for the both of them and then send a ranch hand to ride her horse to her ranch.

Damn....he covered everything. There was nothing Ariana could say. As she sat on the passenger side of his truck, she glanced at the man Trey had become. He was everything the gossips and photos from the articles about him said. He was magnificent; strong, handsome with a dash of humble. He started to make small talk and she could barely listen..she was so caught up in her head... so concerned about her scars on the side of her face. She was moving in an awkward way on the seat when Trey mentioned how bad his day had been too. Ariana perked up and asked what was he talking about...and looked directly at him.

It was in that moment when Trey really saw Ariana and thought how lovely she was... how beautiful her eyes and the warmth of her...even in the state she was in. Having Trey look at her for just a moment like that; it made a connection somewhere inside her...she stopped thinking about her scarred face and trying to hide everything... she let herself be in the moment...

And that was all it took.

Both of these two continue on a path of discovery with each other. Ariana feels free around Trey's open affection for her. The two of them work through the negotiations for the land they both want and each come away a winner in more ways then this deal. There are insecurities which rear their ugly heads but end up being resolved in a timely manner.

All of this happens with the backdrop of the coming together of the additional brothers. It seems everyone has a specialty on the ranch and business; maybe it won't be too much of a complication after all. It also seems Wyatt and Juliette, Ariana's cousin, are getting along just fine....maybe another romance is brewing, hmmmm...

This is a strong, friendly, quick read with very little drama. I can see how all the other entries will come together and look forward to reading them....I do love me some Cowboys...

The Whiskey River series is a fun and very entertaining read.

One Night with the Cowboy was Trey Kelly's story, he's the eldest of the Kelly brothers.

I really enjoyed watching Trey and Ariana come together. They were both very likable, relatable and had amazing chemistry.

The Whiskey River books are short novella's that cover's each of the Kelly brother's and finding their perfect partner =)

Great afternoon read.

This is the second story of Whiskey Creek. Trey Kelly has a horse ranch and he meets up with his next store neighbor, who is a recluse. Ariana has a lavender farm, and has become a recluse due to a terrible scar on her face and has hidden scars too. Trey shows Ariana that beauty is more than skin deep.
I so enjoyed their love story. Trey is a pure winner in my book. Can't wait to read more of Kelly brothers.

A good afternoon sweet romance. Trey is the good guy all around, almost too good. Ariana is at war with herself and her scar after an accident and a jerk ex. The story is about them falling for each other and her acceptance of herself. Really sweet. I would love to read about the rest of the brothers!

I really enjoyed this story. I loved Ariana and Trey together. I really loved how her reacted to her and her scar. This was a fun fast paced love story and it was pretty easily read in an afternoon. There is good chemistry, some conflict, plenty of friends and family and a satisfying ending. I will be eagerly awaiting the next book in the series! I received an ARC of this book from the publisher through Net Galley in exchange fro an honest review.

3 out of 5 stars, in the span of one-day Trey’s life goes from surprising to pleasing. First, he finds out that his father had other sons that he wasn’t aware of and now has to share his family’s ranch with them for a year just to be able to inherit what should be his and his brother Wyatt already. Then later that same day Trey finds Ariana in a river on his property, bringing a wanting he hasn’t ever believed he wanted before. Yet, Ariana is physically scarred and has a hard time overcoming it. Will Trey be able to win her over and get her out of her comfort zone for good? Or will she feel that being apart would be best for the both of them?

I liked Trey and Ariana’s romance it was very sweet, comical, and heartwarming! I especially enjoyed the scenes with Big Boy and Little Joe. =0) My only wish is that the ending wasn’t as slow as it was which was a bit frustrating because I liked the rest of the novel.

Nevertheless, I recommend this novel to those who are looking for a quick contemporary romance.

Meet the Kellys of Whiskey River, Texas, men who have always gone through life, and women, with their father’s legendary charm.

This is Trey Kelly's story ......

It's no secret that, in large, we as a society assume 'pretty people' have it easy. Why? Because everyone wants to be them. They want to know them and be part of their world. Why? Because they're the 'pretty people'. But what happens when that girl or guy is not 'pretty' (by society's standards) any longer? Ariana Wright found out the brutal way that most will not stick around. But she's strong. She pulled herself together and joined her cousin on the family farm, Champs de Lavande. Exactly what the doctor ordered. You see, she's a chemist. So she gets to go hide out and use her talent to create new and innovating products. SO, together with her cousin she began to thrive and grow once again. Both herself and the farm. So when the adjoining farm went up for sale, it was a no-brainer to expand.

But they've got themselves some competition for that land.

Cue, Trey Kelly... HIS family ranch wanted this land to increase their horse stable, Kelly's Champs. They trained, boarded and bred the best of the best horses. Kelly's Champs was an institution. It was known far and wide. And the Kelly brothers wanted to expand.

OK, so now Ariana has herself in a bit of a pickle. You wanna know why? .... She's got herself a crush on Trey :) And she is REALLY nervous about her appearance...But they shared a look and that's all it took :)

There's a lot more to their first meeting and the rest of their journey to HEA, but you're going to have to enjoy it yourself when you read this book. And enjoy it you will. This story a quick fun read. There really is not any angst and I love Eve Gaddy for not making it that way. A true heart-warming romantic read. I loved every page!

Great story from Eve Gaddy about Trey and Arianna. From the moment Trey lent her a helping hand - I knew I was going to love this hero! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because it was too short. I love to lose myself in a story and when they are so short, I feel cheated.

Book two of the Whiskey River series is a hot romance with two great stars. Trey the rancher and Ariana, the chemist who has a nearby lavender farm. Both want the land between their homes that's for sale. Ariana thinks she is unworthy of love because she is scarred from a car accident but Trey convinces her she's wrong. A short story that is a satisfying read for these hot summer months.

One Night with the Cowboy by Eve Gaddy should come with a warning. Beware, any woman reading this story will want to sell and move as soon as possible to Texas, preferably to Whiskey River. Why? Because Trey Kelly is the most perfect man; warmhearted, unselfish, hardworking, romantic and kind to animals. Oh, don’t forget handsome too. Surely there are bound to be more just like him in the Star State.

Book two of the Whiskey River Series is a delightful story of which Trey plays a main part. His other brothers don’t seem bad either. Even though Trey and Wyatt just met Nicholas and Xander, all behave admirably.

Ariana Wright who is wonderful in her own right has trouble seeing Trey as the man that he truly is. She also has trouble seeing herself as she really is too, letting others ‘ comments influence her.Without giving any of this marvelous story away, let me say that it is this problem of her that becomes the main source of conflict.

The first short novella in this series, Where There's a Will, introduced the Kelly brothers and set up the premise for their stories. One Night with the Cowboy has much more character development and plot expansion. A perfect, flirty, feel-good read. Can’t wait to see each of the other brothers close up!

Book two of the Whiskey River series is about Trey, a rancher and Ariana, the owner of a lavender farm, who was disfigured in an accident. They've known- and been interested- each other in the past but Ariana now thinks she is unworthy of love because of how she looks. Trey sees a woman he loves and goes after her.
I received a review copy for my honest review and I liked it and will look for more books by Eve Gaddy.

One Night with the Cowboy is the first Kelly brother book and second in the Whiskey River series. I was looking forward to reading Trey Kelly's story. Trey and Ariana are likable and relatable characters. Gaddy had me turning the pages from the start. I couldn't wait to see how the romance was going to develop between them. Ariana's past and coveted property keep things interesting.

One Night With the Cowboy is book two, in the Whiskey River series

Trey Kelly has it all. Eldest son of Boots Kelly, Trey runs the Kelly ranch, and Trey’s heart is with his “babies”, Kelly’s Champs, the World Champion cutting horses he breeds and sells. Women love Trey and he loves women, but he’s never met the one he wanted for keeps. Until…

Reclusive Ariana Wright‘s lavender farm sits next door to the Kelly spread. Ariana is a smart, ambitious chemist and after the car accident that left her scarred, the success of her new line of lavender-based beauty products is all Ariana is interested in.

Convincing Ariana to take a chance on love is a task that takes all of Trey’s cowboy determination. But can Ariana let go of the wounds of the past and give herself more than one night with the cowboy.

I really enjoyed reading about Trey and Ariana- at first it seems like they have nothing in common but it turns out that they both share love for animals, hard work and both of them weren't looking for love when they first meet one another.

I loved the fact that Trey didn't care about Ariana's scars on her face and how he was trying to make her see that no every man is like her ex fiancée.

I loved the fact that Ariana was a strong woman that wasn't afraid to speak her mind when it came to make her business a success.

One Night with the Cowboy was a great story, it was full of emotions, it was funny, sexy and I'm looking forward to reading more books in the series.

Ariana Wright is back in Whiskey River to help run the business she inherited. She finally made the move after an accident left her scarred and her fiance dumped her. Choosing not to deal with reactions when people see her scar, she doesn't leave the farm. Unfortunately, while playing Good Samaritan, her childhood crush catches her at her worst.
Trey Kelly just found out he has two half brothers who have to move in with him for a year and split his inheritance. When he finds Ariana muddy, cold, and injured, he sees everything but her scar.
Both are trying to buy the property between their land, so Ariana thinks that Trey's interest is only to change her mind. Trey, on the other hand, finds her not only beautiful, but interesting and fun to be with. Can Ariana get past her hurt and her scar to embrace life outside her farm that includes Trey? The story had aspects that made you think. Ariana was strong, though she had to regain her confidence after the accident. The other three brothers are brought in, and we start to see how the four are going to deal with each other.
This was a solid read with very enjoyable characters. A sweet romance, it was well-paced. The second in the series, the author provides enough background that it can be read as a stand alone novel.
*I received an advanced reader copy from the publisher via NetGalley for an honest opinion.

Ariana has had a crush on Trey when she was a kid, she is now back in Whiskey Creek and knows one thing she will not be running into Trey ever. She is ready to get on with her life after a failed relationship and she can't wait to see what else is in store for her and her business parter and cousin. Trey is not happy about the read of the will of BOOTS of course the man would try to run his life grave. He knows that him and Wyatt will have no problem getting along but to had 2 more brothers this just changed everything. I love the story of the cowboys of Whiskey Creek. This story will not disappoint at all either, I love how the author used fun a corky animal in the story to make it fun and to bring out some fun in intense moments. I think the only thing is I did not like the ending, but I know this is a series and I will be able to find out more which I can not wait to read more about the cowboys of Whiskey Creek. You really can not go wrong with this group of books.

Copy received through Netgalley This was quick read. It moved at a fast pace. It was predictable but interesting. Ariana has a scar that she received from a car accident. She is extremely sensitive about it and has pretty much become a hermit., Trey stumbles across her at her worse. He barely notices her scar. I loved him from that point on. It should be fun reading how the other brothers fall in love

I absolutely loved this story, the main characters were just great. Trey Kelly is dealing with the fallout of his father's will, I mean, learning you have another two brothers. WOW! Then he runs into his new neighbor Ariana Wright, a girl he hasn't seen in years and sparks just fly.

Following a car accident that left Ariana with a scar on her face, she feels ugly and disfigured, especially after her fiance dumped her. So having a guy like Trey hit on her comes across as a bit of a surprise.

Trey and Ariana fit together well and what really endeared the story to me is that it focuses on how beauty is in the eye of the beholder and what matters is what's on the inside. This is a very sweet read with very compelling characters.
