Description
Maggie is a seventeen year old girl who's had a bad year. Her mom left, her dad is depressed, she's graduating, barely, and her boyfriend of almost three years dumped her for a college football scholarship. Lately she thinks life is all about hanging on by a thread and is gripping tight with everything she has.
Then she meets Caleb.
She saves his life and instantly knows there's something about him that's intriguing but she is supposed to be on her way to a date with his cousin. But things change when they touch, sparks ignite. Literally. They imprint with each other and she sees their future life together flash before her eyes. She learns that not only is she his soul mate, and can feel his heartbeat in her chest, but there is a whole other world of people with gifts and abilities that she never knew existed. She herself is experiencing supernatural changes unlike anything she's ever felt before and she needs the touch of his skin to survive. Now, not only has her dad come out of his depression to be a father again, and a pain as well, but Caleb's enemies know he's imprinted and are after Maggie to stop them both from gaining their abilities and take her from him. Can Caleb save her or will they be forced to live without each other after just finding one another?

I loved this book (and the rest of the series!) I found it interesting and kept me engaged and wanting to continue with the series.

Oh my stars! That was insanely good. I'm in fangirl mode. I will be following this series and totally checking out other works by this author. Wow!

I will say that I have never read a book like this. With that said I absolutely enjoyed it. I have never read something so beautiful and intense and full of (hate to sound cliche) significance. The way that Maggie & Caleb just connect and the way they love each other is ginormous in so many levels. I will be picking up the following books in the series because well truth is I am hooked. I am normally not one to be drawn to love stories but the tad bit of supernatural and how they are both drawn to each other and rely on each other equally was done beautifully. Thank you for the chance to read this story.

Though this book reminds me of several others in some of the situations and character interactions, I thoroughly liked this book and would highly recommend it to others. The dialogue between the two main characters and her security about their relationship can be somewhat repetitive with her downward thinking and him constantly doing the job of reassuring her. The overall plot of love the characters and their families have towards each other keeps the reader interested. I would definitely be interested in finishing this series to see how the author keeps the reader intrigued in the deepening plot.

This is my favorite Shelly Crane novel. I label it a re-readable book. One of those ones you can read over and over. I know some review say Maggie's character is naive and whinny, but she is a seventeen year old girl whose father checked out mentally, boyfriend dumped and mother left within weeks of each other. I really think anyone in that position would have some insecurity issues. I love Maggie and Caleb's relationship. They really seem to fit well together and even though they are thrust into this predicament, Caleb makes sure Maggie gets as much independence and support as he can give. Read it! Its great!
