As a TikTok fan from the beginning I was thrilled to hear the cookbook was coming! Everything within this has been so well thought through and is so purposeful.

The category names are so fitting, my favourite is the epic failures. Complete with pictures of the monstrosities that I am definitely not brave enough to make.

My first experiment will be the ‘Pure Dead Brilliant’ based on the name alone and the appreciation of ingredients from Scotland. Love the use of local slang, it really speaks to how well considered this book is.

Roll for Sandwich by Jacob A. Pauwels is a quirky, fun-filled cookbook that turns lunch into a game night adventure. Inspired by his viral TikTok series, Pauwels invites you to build sandwiches based on dice rolls.

As a long-time fan of the Roll for Sandwich series, I found that this book is a delight! Highlights of the best and worst sandwiches are found throughout the book with high-quality pictures of each one. I loved all of the backstory and quips with each sandwich. I do feel like this book is more for fans of the series, than a serious sandwich cookbook... but I don't make tons of adventurous sandwiches so I could be wrong!

As someone who has enjoyed watching Jake make these sandwiches (and live to tell the tale), I was excited to see he had a cookbook coming out. I always enjoy seeing the wide variety of ingredients he uses as well, but that can mean some of the ingredients can be hard to find! Ingredient foraging aside, Jake has done a fantastic job writing out the recipes for his (or, rather, the dice's) creations. I can't wait to try out more sandwiches if another book comes out!

As a fan of the TikTok sensation Roll for Sandwhich, I woutwardly squee'd so loud when this one popped up in my queue. Hilarious, whimsey, and sometimes filled with terrifying outcomes, I love all things Roll for Sandwich. Those of you who understand that the dice giveth and the dice taketh away will absolutely LOVE this cookbook!

Roll for Sandwich would popup on my tiktok for you page very often over the past couple of years. So, I was excited to see that he put out a cookbook! But let me just say, when it says "for. . . Adventurous Eaters" it is NOT lying. Most of these sandwiches sound diabolical and horrendous. But, that is the whole point. When rolling the dice you get a 50/50 shot of something good or bad! It was pretty fun going through the recipes and trying to determine why a sandwich was rated so low when all the ingredients looked okay, and then you spot "candy conversation hearts" and it makes sense.

I loved that every recipe had pictures (even if some of those pictures made me shudder) and that there are sheets in the back of the book to start your own insane roll for sandwich journey. Will I ever make the majority of these sandwiches? NO. But there are a few in there that seem promising and normal and good, so there probably are a few hits in here.

Love Jake and watch him religiously on TikTok. It was so fun to see these recreations, along with a sprinkling of D&D terms. (I finally learned what a cantrip is!) Not sure I'll ever make any of the sandwiches, but I love this book as a story - fun undertaking!

I love watching Jacob's videos, and this cookbook does not disappoint at all!

The photography is gorgeous, and shows the food really well. I got hungry flipping through the pages. I adore the pun titles too. They had me cracking up the whole time.

The recipes are simple to follow, and don't need very many ingredients to make. There are so many I plan on making soon, and this is a great book to pull out for making lunches too. I loved all the unique ingredient pairings, and a lot of it was things you would never think to put together. I really enjoyed the section of sandwich fails. Those were awesome to read, and perfect for those poor brave adventurous souls to try.

There is also a section devoted to setting up your own personal Roll for Sandwich too!

This is a fantastic cookbook, and one I think I will get a physical copy for my own collection.

I was so excited to see a roll for sandwich cookbook! I remember finding him on tiktok years ago and how comforting his show was to watch. It is crazy now to see all the adaptations inspired of his show out there but love to see them getting recognition of starting a fun series! I really loved the layout of the cookbook with the rating and when they were made.

If you are a Roll For Sandwich fan as I am this is a fun, adventurous, and unique cookbook to add to your collection.

I've watched quite a few episodes and love that there is now a book. Really fun read and I can't wait to recreate the successes.

I loved every second of this. The good the bad, and the terrible sandwiches. It was fun to see the cookbook used with specific episodes so you can go back and see in which episode the sandwich is made and experience it with the author in the moment he made it. I love that he included the worst of the worst so I’d you really felt daring you could try it with him. I love his emphasis at the beginning of food scarcity being so important and that wasting food was not something happening even if the sandwich tasted bad

This was a great cookbook. It has easy-to-follow recipes. I would highly recommend this book.

Not the typical book that I review but this one deserves the exception!

Ive been following Roll For Sandwich from the beginning, back when the sandwiches were just normal sandwiches. The growth and change I've seen over the years is actually insane. Props to Jacob for the creative idea!

Roll For Sandwich getting its own cookbook just makes so much sense! I love the way it's set up. From the way that every recipe has the standard prep time, ingredients, directions and serving size (1 sandwich of course) to how every sandwich has its own photo. You can really tell the amount of love and thought that got put into this cookbook. His humor is present on every page and the fact that there are pages in the back to make your own Roll For Sandwich experience shows how much he wants to share the joy of this.

Genuinely one of my personal fave cookbooks I've seen in a while. Yes its all sandwiches but the personality that is throughout is unmatched.

I was previously not very aware of the tiktok channel, besides maybe seeing one or two videos on my fyp a long time ago. The name seems familiar, I’m not sure though.

This is just genuinely a very good cookbook. Clear instructions, ingredients, even includes prep time and good pictures for every recipe. The book is organized very well depending on what you’re looking for. A good amount of recipes, not too much backstory and what is included is interesting and informative. There’s also a very present and inspiring passion for food, including a mention of a dislike towards food waste, and an encouragement to respect and try cultural and unfamiliar ingredients and foods.

I definitely recommend this cookbook.
