Retired supermodel and forever wild child Olivia Sweet is nothing but trouble. The youngest Sweet triplet is back in her hometown, but instead of a triumphant return it’s a parade of humiliations. This was the book in the series that caught my eye and persuaded me to read the other books. Whilst I enjoyed those, I definitely preferred Trouble on Tap.

Mateo and Olivia's story connected with me more than the other books. I believed in the emotions more, and I felt there was more depth to the characters. They both had a history with their own pasts, as well as each other.

As you all know, I'm a big fan of second chance romances and that's what this book is. The author didn't make it easy for the characters with Mateo's grouchy attitude and the Sweet's reputation in Salvation, but it was nice to watch the struggle as they found one another again.

The book was paced well and it held my attention the whole way through. The plot was enjoyable and easy to follow (although there were a few parts that had me flicking back to check things).

Overall, my favourite of the series. It was a book that was easy to connect with and I enjoyed watching the relationship grow.

A hot former Marine turned police offer who struggles with the internal and external scars his service left behind? GRABBY HANDS! Add in some seriously intense sex scenes that left me flushed and a heroine who has a bit of sass...Ms. Flynn has made me very happy. I happily tucked this book up on my 'loved' bookshelf.

Mateo isn't the carefree Marine that Oliva knew all those years ago. The one that she fell in love with and who rejected her flatly when she shared her true feelings. No, Mateo has changed physically and emotionally - but if it's any consolation he knows that he made a mistake when he turned Olivia down. No other woman has ever turned him on the way that Olivia's supermodel curves and wild eyes did, but he's fairly convinced that no other woman will ever touch him again because of his scars.

When Olivia rolls back to down, she's down on her luck and determined to change the way that the town views her. She knows she's going to run into Mateo but isn't expecting all of the emotions that will bubble back up to the surface when she does. I really enjoyed watching Mateo and Olivia reconnect. It was like two magnets had finally been turned the right way and they couldn't help the attraction towards the other.

While there's drama to be had, I enjoyed the bumps and turns that make Oliva and Mateo's relationship. I did find the ending to be a litttttle bit cheesetastic, but on the whole, I was pretty pleased with the sweet and warm feeling that washed through me after I finished. 4 stars!

4 - "The time for playing with zippers is over." Stars!

I absolutely loved the third book in the Sweet Salvation Brewery series. Olivia and Mateo’s story offered up everything I want to be reading in a book of this nature. Second chance love, built around a Beauty and the Beast kind of vibe, with a likeable couple set against a small-town backdrop with lots of recurring characters.

IMAGE.

A few years have passed since Mateo and Olivia have seen each other, their parting of ways was not on a happy note. Both are back in Salvation, neither one too happy about the fact. Mateo as the towns Police Chief, is well regarded, a veteran, carrying more than a few visible and invisible scars from his time serving his country. Olivia; the only thing the town cares about is her surname - Sweet as such she is tarred with the decades old brush that her family name is synonymous with.

”No one knows more about sinning than a Sweet.”

Sure she’s known as the flighty one, being a former model and being the centre of more than a few scandals will do that to a girl’s reputation. So coming back to town in the hopes of changing that perception offer more than a little battle of the ’uphill’ type.

”You are nothing but trouble.”
”Maybe you need some of that in your life.”

Avery Flynn nailed this couple together perfectly, sexy with a little dirty, sassy and sarcastic together with a little vulnerability and emotion to back it up. Mateo I loved, Olivia was the kind of woman you’d want to be friends with. Their story and reconnection as lovers as a whole, not forgetting the inclusions of a three-legged cat, a homeless dog, and lots of escapades in-between was an enjoyable way to spend an evening.

With a sexy couple and quirky townsfolk, Trouble on Tap is a great addition to the Sweet Salvation Brewery series. Mateo and Olivia have come across as a little less endearing in the previous books, however this wasn't the case when the focus lay on them.

"I'm just an asshole Marine...I'm not the kind of guy people like you should depend on."

Having grown up together and embarked on a friends-with-benefits relationship that suited them both due to their careers, Olivia and Mateo's last encounter doesn't hold fond memories. And when the former model's personal life implodes amidst scandal and she returns to Salvation, she's greeted by a grumpy Police Chief with a military career that has left him changed on the inside and out. But the fire and feelings still burn between them.

"I'm going to f*** you long and hard right here in this kitchen."

I loved the dynamic of this couple; strong yet vulnerable, both were loveable characters with depth. Avery Flynn has combined second chance love and best-friend's older brother with a feel of Beauty and the Beast bringing her reader a story that captivates. Well paced, it has a refreshing feel, is passionate, frustrating, sweet (no pun intended) and brought my type of dry humour. And with a lovely epilogue to wrap up the Sweet triplets' stories, it was a satisfying end which left me smiling.

Life experiences make the weak strong and the strong prove just how strong they really are. Matteo and Olivia both are carrying a lot of anger and bitterness on their shoulders. Never expecting to find themselves facing challenging circumstances each has to come to terms with the hand that's been dealt before they can face the future that never expected to find. The road less traveled can lead to a pot of gold. With a smidge of suspense and a splash of romance, Trouble on Tap by Avery Flynn is a great find. I received an ARC of this story for an honest opinion.

This was my first visit to the town of Salvation, and I have to admit I am highly disappointed in myself for not making the visit A LOT sooner. With this being the third book in the series, I was concerned I'd be missing out on pertinent details since I was reading the books out of order, but I can honestly say that after reading this book I didn't get that feeling at all, if anything, I am now even more eager to read the first two installments in the series.

After being labeled the town outcast Olivia Sweet leaves home to become a famous model, after a few years of success on the catwalk, she is once again rejected by her "town" and sent packing. The only thing that makes her feel whole in life is a relationship she has with fellow hometown-er Mateo Garcia. While their relationship isn't exactly a conventional one, she stills tries to hold onto it, in hopes that they can have a normal life together, only once again to be rejected. Mateo is a soldier, a man of honor, and a man that has no intention of ever being tied down. And while he cares for Olivia, he knows that he just isn't the right man for her, so when she proposes they take their sexual relationship to the next level, he decides rejecting her is the most honorable and safe thing he can do for her, not realizing that he is making the biggest mistake of his life.

So, once again Olivia picks herself up and moves on, only to be cast away again. With nothing left to lose she decides to move back home to Salvation, in hopes of redeeming herself and finally finding some well deserved happiness, only to come face to face with the man her cast her aside so many years ago...

This story was a real treat to read, and a even more beautiful one to watch unfold. To watch Olivia suffer so many personal losses in her life, and then see her dust herself off and get back up again was not only empowering, but also a true testament of human spirit and strength. Ms. Flynn has truly outdone herself once again with the character development in this story!

I highly recommend you take a little time to visit the town of Salvation and meet these amazing characters that Ms. Flynn has created, you will not be disappointed!!

A great story about the third Sweet sister. It was really great catching up with the other two sisters in this story and seeing how happy they are . This story was really great because it had a beauty and the beast storyline which is one of my favorites, plus the hot best friends brother romance and also a 2nd chance romance.

Mateo was a great hero and he really tried to resist Olivia. Olivia was so fun as she tried to get her man. A really fun read that I really enjoyed.

Trouble on Tap is the third book in the series. Even though I didn't read the first two books and I miss out the whole Sweet triplets history in Salvation Town, I can still very much enjoy the book as a standalone.

The thing that drew me to this story is the scarred war vet, Mateo Garcia. I just can't resist the little hint of B&B theme. He used to be a heartthrob and had casual flings with Olivia Sweet every time before he deploy. He called her his pre-deployment good-luck charm. However, things change after the incident that left his left face permanently scarred.

Olivia Sweet used to be a runway model, but due to her curves and all, she was forced to leave the modelling scene. After the whole fiasco with his douchebag ex-boyfriend, Olivia was forced to head back to Salvation to start a new life with her sisters. The last thing she expect is to see Mateo again.

Mateo who now is the local police chief, is also a miserable asshole. Not getting laid for three years can do that to a person. Poor guy. He acting all tough and couldn't care less, but he had turned into the town hermit living with a rescue mutt he refused to name. He also not appreciating the fact that Olivia is back in town to distract him to no end.

The man had gone from gregarious heartthrob to a man most likely to hit you with the gigantic chip on his shoulder.

Olivia is a very free-spirited heroine. She might seems all 'unicorns and rainbows and puffy pink clouds', but I actually like her 'devil-may-care' and bubbly attitude. She drives Mateo crazy with her shenanigans.

This small town romance reminds me very much of similar books by Kristin Higgins. Salvation Town basically come to live in my eyes with the nosy diner owner, the villainous mayor and the supportive Sweet sisters. There isn't any big drama, but Olivia determination to help restore her family name by organizing a fundraising and the brief reappearance of her ex provide enough of trouble to keep things interesting.

The only thing I wish could have been better is to really see Mateo and Olivia as a couple with all the lovey dovey stuff. I just feel the ending is too abrupt. I'm definitely craving more for these two.

I'm pigheaded, grouchy and I say the wrong things at the worst time. Basically, I'm an asshole - but I'm your asshole." ~ Mateo

Mateo and Olivia have a history that books are written about. Hot, uninhibited and prefect. Mateo claimed Olivia to be his good luck charm before going on missions. When she want more than the rules allowed, luck turned walked out the door.

Life happened causing major changes to Mateo and Olivia, rocking them to their core. Also bring them back to each other. A slight touch showed them the chemistry still flamed for two people that are the same but now very different people. While trying to keep each other away at an armslength, and forced to be together, may be more than these to can handle.

Avery Flynn shakes up small town romance with the Trouble on Tap. A feisty woman taking on a stubborn man with chemistry off charts. Woot! The pages will heat up and have you laughing at the same time. Prepare for a good dose of wit, some sarcasm and trouble. Perfect beach read.

A fun, erotic romance where the two main characters have secrets that keep catching up with them.

This is a great series; this is the third book in the Sweet Salvation Brewery series by Avery Flynn. This book can be read as a standalone, but you will want to go back and read the other books in this series when you are done. Olivia Sweet is a retired supermodel, and is the youngest Sweet triplet, she returns to her hometown, broke, homeless and dealing from the fallout of her looser ex-boyfriend. Mateo Garcia is a Marine veteran and has had more trouble in his life, he is now the small town police chief with a chip on his shoulder. When Olivia and Mateo are forced to work together sparks begin to fly. If you are looking for a great romance with wonderful characters then you need to read this book. I can’t wait until the next book by this author comes out.

Olivia comes back to town after losing everything from her job to her boyfriend. Coming back to town is even more difficult because the Sweet sisters have been outcasts with most everyone in town looking down on them. She comes home to find that Mateo is back in town as well. They were together years before having an arrangement until she asked for more. He went off to war and was badly injured when the rest of his group was killed. While Mateo used to be funloving he now is bitter and angry. He doesn't hold that back from Olivia pushing her away over and over again. When they are thrown together to help rebuilt the veteran's center in town, they will once again fall for each other with Mateo fighting it the whole way. When his cruelty finally sends her running, he will have to do his best to win her heart again. I really enjoyed their story.

I give Trouble on Tap 4 hearts!

Trouble on Tap is the third book in the Avery Flynn-penned Sweet Salvation Brewery series and finally turns the spotlight on the last of the Sweet triplets and former supermodel Olivia and her second chance romance with war veteran turned Salvation police chief Mateo Garcia. They used to meet up for sex every few months, but their last meeting three years ago ended abruptly when Olivia wanted more and Mateo turned her down. Now, Olivia's back in Salvation, the town that's looked down on their family for generations, and the last person she expects to bump into Mateo, who is no longer the easygoing guy he used to be, due in large part to the loss of his team and the physical and emotional scars that he's left with.

The connection between Olivia and Mateo is undeniable and while it may have taken Mateo a tad longer than Olivia to get to the whole love part, these two were simply destined to be together even after three years apart. The addition of a dog named Trouble made gave the story an extra dose of sweetness that I can fully appreciate because I'm a sucker for any romance that involves a dog. Fans of the series will be happy to note that since the triplets are now together, we get a glimpse of where the two other relationships are at and I can undoubtedly say that I actually liked how the trilogy wrapped up. All three books can be read as standalones but check out the entire series anyway. Trouble on Tap gets four stars. ♥

There are always series that I am sad to see end and the Sweet Salvaltion Brewery is one of them. Over the last year, I have highly enjoyed the adventures of the Sweet sisters, but I kept waiting for Olivia’s story – I guess because she is the wild child and while I am more similar to Natalie as a character, I harbor an inner wild child (or at least, I think I do). And i’m a sucker for second chance romances, so Trouble on Tap hit all my happy spots. I will admit that I am honestly trying not to go all fangirl on my review because this book was what I needed after a series mediocre reads.

I think what I enjoyed the most about Trouble on Tap was seeing Olivia’s struggle to find her place in the world. As a former model she had been top of her career and then having to make a transition and essentially start over again – its something that many of us have to face – be it a new job, transitioning from the military (like Mateo) or any other kind of scenario where a major change occurs. I found her struggle to be real in a way that was almost scary to me. I saw so much of myself in that struggle from when I changed career fields a few years ago – that idea of how/where are you going to land and will I/you succeed?

And Avery did a great job of continuing the theme of small town hatred for the Sweet sisters – I felt so bad for all of them throughout the series. Maybe because I grew up in a small town and know how they operate, but everything just hit home – the behavior of people to those they consider outsiders (in my home town, if you didn’t have a certain last night it didn’t matter what you or your family did to contribute)…it was almost like at times, Avery was channeling some of my experiences growing up.

I loved the relationship between Mateo and Olivia and how they reconnected. There is something about a wounded solider realizing that they aren’t just their injuries that makes them attractive. That Olivia was able to look past his injuries and see him for the guy she loved way back when (even if he had been a dick to her)…

Trouble of Tap was a roller coaster of emotions for me (thanks Avery!) but I don’t regret it for one second. I would say make sure you have time to sit down and read, because if you are anything like me, once you start, you’ll read through to the end (and that made for a sucky day at work the next day). I gave Trouble on Tap 4 stars and am sad to see the series end (although hopefully my craving for Pecan Pie will now disappear – since I don’t even like the stuff!).

I wasn't sure how I was going to like the book because it was stated by Paige and Sawyer that he cheated on her with her stepsister. Honestly, I wouldn't have read the book if I didn't have to review it because I really hate cheaters and I couldn't imagine how I could read a story where the hero cheats on heroine and then the end up together. Sawyer's explanation is given early in the story (Thank God), but I would have liked some sort of confirmation from Ashley about what happened.

Ashley is easily one of the people that you just can't stop hating and I would have loved to see her getting something bad. Her mother seemed like a good person though. After my initial hate, I liked Sawyer a lot. I can't say that I loved him, but he is cool. What I liked about Paige is that she overcame her insecurities and got more confident. That ladies and gentlemen is called character development which every reader loves.

We see Raina and Logan again. I had to say a few words about them because they popped up in my mind while I was writing this review. I have a thing for watching couples from previous books being in love and happy. I guess I need reassurance that everything is ok between them. They were very cute, but I am guessing that we are going to see Paige and Sawyer getting married before they do.

I have come to terms with myself about The players club. I will have to settle for one scene in the beginning and to know that I will never see the club again for the rest of the book. I think I am more used to other Club novels where the characters go more than once in their club. Now I will wait for Jase and Kendall

I don't know how Flynn did it but she did. I was concerned I wasn't going to enjoy Olivia's story as much because I wasn't as connected with her. And Trouble on Tap ended up being my favorite of them all!

Olivia, the wild one of the Sweet triplets, is back home with her tail tucked between her legs. When she sees how her sisters have found happiness, she's determined to make things *right* - on her own - so that the Sweets can be valued members of Salvation rather than the subject of gossip.

Mateo is back in Salvation as its police chief. He's living with lots of regrets - memories of the things that caused him to lose his entire Marine unit and those that caused him to lose Olivia. When she comes storming back into Salvation, he knows he's in trouble.

I can't not mention Ruby Sue. She always says it like it is and her words of *ahem* encouragement to Mateo are some of her best yet. AND we now know the secret to the pie! ;)

I've really enjoyed this series. I like the play on the town name, Salvation. I think all 3 Sweet sisters were looking for some salvation, as were their 3 guys. Who knew salvation was right under their noses in Salvation...they just needed a little Sweet.

I think this is my favorite of the series! The first chapter sucked me in and I couldn't put the book down until I'd read it all. Mateo and Olivia burn up the pages of book - from beginning to end! I enjoyed them being together - in bed and out. There is a bit of drama with the town's Mayor and her ex, but it helps them come together as a couple. Great ending to the series!

I received an ARC for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review, all conclusions are my own.

The Sweet family were always looked down upon for their crazy antics and outspoken ways. The current generation of triplets were equally scorned but have slowly reintegrated themselves into the town that once despised them...all except supermodel Olivia. Olivia was considered a walking disaster known more for her body than for her brains. Leaving town allowed her to make something of herself but the town still has a grudge. After losing her job because of her scumbag ex-boyfriend, and losing her money because of his gambling addiction, she's come crawling home looking for redemption. What she finds though is the only man she ever loved, who turned her away when she wanted more. He's a changed man with scars both inside and out, but she's still drawn to him and as everything starts to once again crumble around her she'll need him more than ever. Olivia's an immensely likable woman who longs to prove she's more than what others see. She wants to do something meaningful in life that will make the community see their family name in a positive light. She's strong-willed and gives as good as she gets when it comes to harsh words spoken to her.

Those harsh words have mostly been coming from her former love Mateo. They were once friends with very erotic benefits but he turned her away when she offered more. He was once a sexy and cocky Marine who had women falling at his feet, but a misjudgment led to severe scarring to his face and even deeper emotional wounds. He hates himself for being the only survivor of his one bad decision and just wants to be alone. He's angry all the time but once Olivia comes to town, and he becomes the unwilling owner of a loyal and mangy dog, his wall of anger and rudeness starts to crumble. Though she's a sexual temptation he doesn't think himself worthy of her. He sees himself as the proverbial "Beast" and fights their crackling connection every step of the way. When Olivia needs him most, and with her slipping away from him permanently, he'll have to make a big overture to prove his love and finally make himself feel worthy. I felt sympathetic for all that Mateo went through. His survivor's guilt was eating away at him through flashbacks and self-loathing and I just wanted to hug him. He was once so self-assured but there's now a hesitancy to him. With Olivia though that brashness returns and she's truly good for him which had me rooting for them every step of the way. Seeing him rise up from his grief into a confident man once again put a smile on my face.

This was a sexy story from start to finish with numerous erotic encounters. Olivia and Mateo's relationship may have started out as just sex but ultimately evolved into something deeper. It's only with one another that their true selves are seen as they never judged one another on their looks or how others perceived them. Their connection crackled and teemed with sexual tension. Their banter was witty and I enjoyed their fiery dialogue. The secondary characters were equally colorful, and with her sisters especially, I'm left wanting to read the previous installments in this series. The only issue I had with the story was the appearance of her ex and the machinations of the mayor. Both of these characters were over the top in their words and deeds with their actions feeling manipulative to the storyline. This small quibble though didn't really mar my enjoyment as the stars of this book, Olivia and Mateo, had me captivated from the first page to the last.

Sweet little romance about second chance love and a nice series closer. If you haven't read this series, you're missing out.

A good and quick summer romance. You have Olivia, the sexy model, and Mateo, the sexy Marine. They have a friends with benefits relationship, until Mateo gets injured by a roadside bomb and gets scarred. I liked the story, and liked both characters. I especially liked their pets (Handsome and Trouble). The only thing I wished was that more character development would occur. A bit more on why he didn't want a relationship. More on why she hooked up with a loser like Larry. And more on the town of Salvation. Now, to be fair, this is the third in the series, and I have not read the first two. Many things may have been answered in the first two books. So, if you take that into account, I liked the book as a stand alone, and would probably like it even better if I had read the others. They are on my to-read list. Would recommend if you like hot and macho men and sassy women.

4 Stars!
The story has laughs, secrets, pain, suspense, twist & turns, and heartbreak.

I would recommend reading the below before this book:
Enemies on Tap (Sweet Salvation Brewery, #1)
Hollywood on Tap (Sweet Salvation Brewery, #2)

This is Olivia and Mateo’s story. Years ago Olivia was in love with Mateo but he rejected her feelings. Now she is back in town after a scandal. She is broken and humiliated. Mateo is not the same man she knew. He is harder. He knew he made a mistake when he turned down Olivia. But he has scars and he thinks no one would want him. But with the sparks these two throw off when they are together it’s only a matter of time before he believes she still wants him. But can she chance another rejection? Or will Mateo finally want her no matter what?

I recommend this book.

Well, I think this was my favorite story in this series! Olivia and Mateo certainly have plenty of heat going on between them, even though they did not have an amicable parting at the start of the book. Nor was Olivia's return to Salvation the homecoming she wanted. I was impressed that she was able to hold her head up high, given the reason why she had to return to her hometown. Her first time seeing Mateo in three years was a shock to her, since she didn't know the extent of the injuries he received on his last deployment.

Mateo has a combination of a massive chip on his shoulder due to how the folks in his hometown have treated him since his injury and the guilt he has to live with over his decision that cost his team members' lives during that last deployment. He's still got it bad for Olivia but doesn't want to admit it nor act on his attraction to her. Everything comes to a head when Olivia's ex makes an appearance and forces Mateo into action. Not the right kind of action, but it is what it is.

When Avery Flynn decides to write the final book in a series she does it in style and as much as I enjoyed the other two books in the Sweet Salvation Brewery series, Trouble on Tap is my favorite by far. It is impossible not to smile as I think back on this story; these characters, their wild and crazy “relationship,” their menagerie of oddball pets; intrusive town’s people and one woman’s determination to make the world easier for the next generation of Sweets made this a simply outstanding addition to this series.

For years supermodel Olivia Sweet and Marine Mateo Garcia had an agreement; a friends with benefits arrangement that suited them both and one Mateo believed kept him out of harm’s way through every deployment until the night things changed in more ways than one. Three years later, they are both back “home,” Mateo scarred in more ways than one after a mission gone bad and Olivia having lost her job, her bank accounts, her home, and her a$$ of an ex-boyfriend all in one day; these two are less than friendly despite the fact that the attraction between them burns brighter than ever. Mateo is carrying around a huge chip on his shoulder and Olivia is bound and determined to change the way the town looks at her crazy family but working together might just kill them both…that’s if they can manage to keep their hands off each other.

First off let me just state that Avery Flynn sure knows how to grab an audience with her hot as hell first chapter. I could have used a pack of cigarettes after that one and I don’t even smoke! While Olivia and Mateo try to spend a good part of this book acting like the other means nothing to them or trading barbs back and forth it is so easy to see that they are still connected despite the way they ended things three years prior. I loved the interactions between them and the way Mateo tried to pretend he wanted nothing to do with Olivia but was there to protect or help her at every turn. Olivia impressed me with her spirit and gumption and the way she absolutely refused to let Mateo wallow in his own misery.

There is something special about couples who spar, hiss, fight but have such respect, admiration and love for one another and that describes Mateo and Olivia perfectly. Any writer who can produce a book that makes me laugh out loud so loudly I scare the birds, makes me sigh with its sweetness, leaves me wishing my partner was home for a quickie and yet can bring a tear to my eye…THAT is the sign of a remarkable book and author and that my friends is Trouble on Tap by author Avery Flynn. Well done!

Trouble on Tap is my kind of book. TOT is the third in the Sweet Salvation Brewery series, I started with this book and you can too, it’s a standalone. This is the story of Mateo and Olivia, both characters are flawed, intense and sexy as hell (especially when they get together). When the book begins Mateo and Olivia are just F buddies. Olivia is a Victoria Secret model who any guy would want but Mateo is an overly confident Marine who doesn’t think commitment is for him. When Olivia tries to up her F buddy status with Mateo, he hits the kill switch on the whole deal. Mateo deploys and his whole life changes. Similarly, three years later Olivia finds herself in a totally different position than where she was the last time she hooked up with Mateo. Both Olivia and Mateo wind up back in their small hometown where they initially met. Mateo needs to get over his wounds if he’s going to move forward and Olivia needs people to see her as more than T&A, a difficult feat on both ends. The journey forward is entertaining, sometimes funny and even a little heartbreaking.

I liked Mateo but Olivia made this book for me. I love a strong heroine who doesn’t cower when people are cruel but stands up for herself and “embraces the crazy.” Olivia was wild and definitely did some questionable sh!t but I loved how she owned it. Even when Mateo shuns her, Olivia stays true to what she wants and keeps duking it out against the odds. I just couldn’t help but to cheer for the wild child. Mateo was alright with me too. He was brooding and tortured which is pretty much all I need to rev my engine. I appreciated that the source of Mateo’s angst wasn’t something contrived and ridiculous to gin up conflict. He had some real serious ish go down in his life that appropriately knocked him right off his high horse and onto his posterior.

The chemistry between Mateo and Olivia is nuclear. Even while Mateo tries to deny that Olivia wants him or that there is any hope for them as a couple, sparks are flying left and right. The sex scenes are smoking HAWT and truly worthy of 5 stars. I’m a sucker for enemy-romance, I just like the extra tension between the characters and there was plenty of it here. This book worked for me in terms of plot, pace, internal and external conflict. It all flowed together in the author’s seamless writing to create a genuinely enjoyable experience.

Brandee: I finished this morning. I’ve already had an early morning cry. *sniff* I’m so happy we read this together. You know I was worried I wouldn’t like this one as much because I didn’t feel as connected to Olivia. It felt like we hadn’t been exposed to her enough. And we’d never met Mateo. BUT this is my favorite one in the series! Olivia and Mateo are definitely hot together. And as I’m a sucker for second chance stories, this one rocked! You’re right – it is a second chance for them…at life, really.

Me: I definitely agree that Trouble on Tap is a favorite in the series! Even if we didn’t know Olivia and Mateo before this story started,I think that both the prologue and their inner dialogues made it very easy to both know, understand and love both of them – flaws and all! And they both needed those second chances, both when it comes to life and when it comes to love – I think that’s partly why I loved this so much – apart from how extremely hot their chemistry was 😉

Olivia wanting to make things ‘right’ for her family, to make the Sweet name bring about more than gossip and snickers, and to prove she is more than meets the eye…all of that just made me adore and respect her.

My heart broke for Olivia, the way she just wanted people to leave her family be, and also to make her sisters truly proud of her. It was as if she had put herself in the role of the air-headed model, and because she had done it so well, she had started to believe it herself.

Mateo’s living with his fair share of regrets. And it broke my heart that he felt like he wasn’t a person worthy of people depending on him. And ironic considering his job. That he finally realizes (with a little help from a little spitfire of a woman) the error in his thinking made me smile.

Mateo seemed like he had forgotten how strong he was after what happened in Afghanistan, as if he had left a big part of himself, his confidence and his heart behind, and now thought he wasn’t really worthy of belonging or being cared for at all. You are right that Olivia and her strong attitude, as well as her capability for real love showed him the error of his ways.

Ruby Sue is her usual scene-stealing self in this one. I actually think this is her best performance yet. “Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to hurt your big grumpy-man feelings, but you need to suck it up.” That was priceless. Haven’t we all needed someone to say “suck it up” at some point in our lives?

LOL Ruby Sue was the best! And I agree, her little speech to Mateo was priceless.

They mayor makes my blood boil. I’d been wondering how he kept his office when he made enemies like he does, but Mateo explained it. :) It seems like there is more to his hatred of the Sweets besides that documentary. I wonder if we’ll ever find out?

Olivia’s ex made me just as mad as the mayor did! And I actually hated that Mateo gave the mayor the heads-up and got him to be all slimy and smarmy in front of a crowd, even if it ultimately helped Olivia in her quest for the veteran center.

That ending – funny that the girls said Ruby Sue said it was expected of them because I didn’t expect it. But it was a nice way to wrap things up.

Do you know if there will be another Sweet Salvation Brewery story? I would love that! Or at least something else happening in Salvation! You are right that we need to know more about Luciana, and definitely about why the mayor is so hell-bent on hating the Sweets… It’s almost as if he wanted a Sweet girl for himself, and didn’t get her 😉

If I were going to complain about anything, I guess I would have liked the story to be longer – get to see more of the other couples, be in the brewery again, get better acquainted with Luciana. But overall, I was delighted with Trouble on Tap.

The ending was cute, but also a little bit abrupt. I could have done with another 20-30 pages before that, I think. So yes, a little longer, to see more of the other couples and the brewery. But like you, I was happy with Trouble on Tap overall.

Olivia and Mateo really did need a second chance at life – what they’d gone through, they both needed a chance to prove to themselves, as well as others, that they were more than their looks and their actions. And I was so happy a second chance at love was part of the deal. :)

I really like that sentence: being more than their looks – because they were both kind of hung up on their looks, but for the completely wrong reasons! There was so much more to both of them than the exterior package, you know?

Olivia’s ex was so slimy. He was almost worse than the mayor because he wanted to capitalize on Olivia. It wasn’t enough to have taken so much from her…he wanted to take more. Ugh!

We totally agree about Olivia’s slimy ex! I’m actually happy Mateo went to town on him.

I don’t know if there is going to be more in this series. I certainly hope so, too. I don’t know that I could handle a book on the mayor but I’d really like to know why he’s so sour on the Sweets. And getting to spend more time with the triplets, their men, and the brewery would be even more fun!

I don’t think I could handle a book on the mayor either, but maybe at least a short story about Ruby Sue? She knows everything, right? And she would be a hoot to read about, especially because she explained a little bit about her privileged relationship with the Sweets. My heart broke for her and her pecan pie in Trouble on Tap!

I’ve so enjoyed our buddy reads in Salvation, Lexxie! What are we reading next?!? 😉

I have loved buddy-reading Salvation with you as well, Brandee. We really do need to find something else we can read together – and soon!

I've been a fan of the Sweet Salvation series since the beginning, and have waited for Olivia's story for what seems like EVER. Didn't disappoint! A bit edgier than the others, steamy and sexy and fast paced... Mateo is just what our wild child needed. Once more, the secondary characters really make this series stand out, and the total cheese-fest threeway wedding at the end was kind of adorkably perfect.

This is the third book in the Sweet Salvation Brewery series, and it is my favorite. It is probably the funniest and the saddest. I have read many of Avery Flynn's books and she has a writing style that is clever and witty. I think the relationship between Mat and Olivia is probably the most realistic of the series and it is also heartbreaking. I love Olivia, she's tough, resilient, and she has had a really bad time of things lately. Mateo has also had some crappy things happen to him and he is having a hard time working through his guilt and anger. But Lord, you will love him. I laughed out loud in parts of this book and other parts were just sad.....Olivia and Mateo work through some serious hurt and pain. Avery Flynn is a great author and she writes some sizzling scenes in this book. I highly recommend reading it...you will not be disappointed.

"So invite me in."
Now that way lay trouble. "What are you, a vampire that needs an invitation?"
"Worse. I'm a Sweet."

TROUBLE ON TAP by Avery Flynn was a wonderful finale to the author's Sweet Salvation Brewery series! Even though it's the third book in the series, it could be enjoyed as a standalone if that is your preference. However, if you do that, you'd miss out on the two highly entertaining preceding books featuring the other two Sweet sisters. TROUBLE ON TAP is the story of the third Sweet sister, free spirited Olivia Sweet, and troubled ex-Marine Mateo Garcia.

I loved both the hero and the heroine. It's a second chance at love for them. They shared a past, but would they have a future? Their story reminded me of a modern day retelling of The Beauty and The Beast. Olivia was sexy and beautiful. She was an ex-Victoria Secret runway model and attracted trouble like sugar attracts flies. She was most definitely the wild child of the triplets and her shenanigans drove Mateo crazy.

Mateo was the smokin' hot male lead. He's a permanently scarred and troubled ex-Marine who was nicknamed the Casanova of Salvation before he encountered the roadside bomb that took out his buddies and left him disfigured with a huge chip on his shoulder. Now he's the police chief in Salvation, a virtual hermit when he's off work, and not happy in the least that Olivia Sweet is back to distract him to no end and remind him of what he used to be.

Olivia and Mateo were each strong yet vulnerable. Their chemistry was of the intensely hot, set-your-sheets on fire kind. Their dynamics were enhanced by two darling non-human supporting characters - a three-legged cat and a nameless dog who both tugged at my heartstrings.

All the books have taken place in the small town of Salvation, Virginia and fans of the series know all about the Kitchen Sink Diner there with Ruby Sue's famous pecan pie on the menu. This book discloses the secret ingredient of that pie! I'm not giving it away - you'll have to read this book to find out what makes that pie rock! BUT, if you want to make your pecan pies the talk of your town, you need to pick up this book!

Following please find a few of my favorite quotes from this hot-hot-hot read:

She had Jessica Rabbit's curves and full lips that made him wish he was a tube of Chap Stick.
---

His gaze dropped down to the deep V of her cherry-red top and the pulse in his temple pulsed. For a second she didn't think he was going to say anything, which was good because she'd just forgotten her own name. His focus inched northward across her generous cleavage, up her neck and to her lips -- leaving a heated trail across her skin without ever making a move. The last dry spot on her panties surrendered.
---

Thank God he wasn't in full uniform or her panties might have melted.
Who was she kidding? The strap of silk covering the good china was already toast just looking at him in his form-fitting jeans and a black polo with the Salvation Police Department logo.
---

"Maybe it's time to stop punishing yourself for past sins."
He wished it was that easy, but it wasn't. So if he was already this deep in, what was one more transgression? Snagging the hem of her tank top between two fingers, he tugged it taut. "I suppose you think you're the woman to show me the way?"
Leaning in close, she whispered into his good ear, "No one knows more about sinning than a Sweet."

I lapped up this well-paced conclusion of the Sweet Salvation Brewery series. I've been a fan of the series from the get-go and am thrilled to report that the epilogue was perfection. It brought together all the triplets and tied their stories up neatly with a tidy, beautiful bow. Just thinking about it now still makes me smile! If you love fun, sweet and hot, small town romances, I highly recommend that you delve into Avery Flynn's Sweet Salvation Brewery series. Each of the books has been a treat!

Okay so the Sweet family name is synonymous with the word scandal but Olivia makes her siblings look like angels. As a former model, she had her fair share of scandals but because of her ex-boyfriend she’s forced back home to Salvation. Broke, humiliated and homeless, Olivia doesn’t need an old flame complicating things.

Then there’s Mateo Garcia who has had more than enough trouble to last the rest of his life, and his scarred face is the proof. Once a popular playboy, the troubled former Marine turned police chief has become reclusive and surly. The last thing he needs is an old lover turning up in town, much less living next door to him.

A crumbling veteran’s center forces the two to spend a lot of time together and surprise, surprise! The sparks reignite between them along with old resentments and new wounds, making Trouble on Tap a bit of a roller coaster ride.

Olivia Sweet just might be my favorite character from the series! I have a soft spot for rebellious trouble makers like her. Even when she didn’t make the best choices she was still a fun character. She had it in her to be better than her past and with a lot of struggling and her love for a grumpy but good man, Olivia crawled out of where she was and really worked hard to overcome her family’s reputation. It wasn’t easy but I loved that she fought for respectability while still staying true to who she really was.

Of course Mateo presented his own set of challenges both for himself and anyone unlucky enough to get too close to him. His bark was worse than his bite for the most part and while he may have become bitter and angry, it was all directed at himself. It didn’t change who he was on the inside, though he tired to bury it, Mateo was still a protector, still a hero and still the same man who fell for Olivia years ago, he just didn’t know it. He wasn’t a perfect character and he did lash out in anger at Olivia but it made him more real more fractured.

Trouble on Tap had a bit of a Beauty and the Beast vibe to it but still remained its own story. Mateo and Olivia couldn’t be more perfect for each other. As a couple, they may have started out as reluctant partners but it was clear that they still wanted each other and they grounded each other. I loved that their connection was already deeper than the physical but they had to find that out for themselves. They made plenty of mistakes along the way but the great thing about them both is that they learned from those mistakes.

Final Verdict: I missed out on the first book of the series but I did read the second. Trouble on Tap was a good conclusion to a series that took troubled triplets and made them face their individual demons. Olivia’s story definitely had a lot of drama and passion but it also had healing and humor.
