The high-kicking happy hoofers arrive in Paris in time for their new job dancing on a sight-seeing cruise in in Paris. The five women are excited about having the opportunity to enjoy the city during the day when they aren't working; however, a murder changes many of their plans.

This intriguing cozy mystery contains some helpful fashion advice, information about sights to see and mouthwatering recipes to try. If like me, you can't afford a trip to Paris, this might be the next best thing!

This is a nice story with lots of fun, recipes and a bit of a tour guide of Paris. There is a murder or two, and some thrills and spills but mainly a cozy mystery, with a taster of the lives and characters of those involved in the story. It was an easy read, and with extras thrown in - I enjoyed the read.
This bookd was supplied to me in return or an unbiased and honest review.

Cancans, Croissants, and Caskets is the third book in Mary McHugh's The Happy Hoofers mysteries. A group of five fifty something best friends, Gini, Tina, Pat, Janice, and Mary Louise have signed on to dance in Paris on a Bateau Mouche, a sightseeing floating dinner theater on the Seine. The gals are once again drawn into a murder mystery when the theater owner is murdered on their opening night. As the amateur sleuths work with the local gendarme, Captain Genevieve Chantal, they are drawn in to danger, especially Janice, who narrowly escapes attempts on her life.

With the beautifully described backdrops of the Jardin du Luxembourg, Versailles, Giverny, Notre Dame, the Louvre, and the bustling streets of Paris, the ladies try to make the most of their time in Paris, even when under the watchful eye of Officer Jacques Paulhe.

Cancans, Croissants, and Caskets is a well crafted mystery, dotted with clues, and just enough intrigue to bring the story home. Looking forward to Ms. McHugh's next book in the series to see what lies in store for the Happy Hoofers next.

A relaxing read, that takes you through Paris and its great scenery, cafes, famous places and lovely dishes of the French cuisine. It also shows how tight the friendship of the five dancers that are the main characters of this series while they are in the middle of a murder investigation. Love that it includes fashion tips and recipes of very delicious plates found in France

This is the first time I have read anything by this author. I was pleasantly surprised by the writing style and was hooked from the start. If you enjoy traveling, humor and a little bit of romance, be sure to check this series out.
The Happy Hoofers are a group of fifty-something ladies who love to dance and have a fabulous time doing it, until a dead body appears, that is.
The five friends are invited to dance in Paris, on Bateau Mouche, a luxurious style dinner cruise. They will dance for 7 nights and enjoy their time exploring the joys of Paris.
When someone is murdered on their first night dancing, the ladies hope this doesn’t interfere with their sightseeing plans. Paris is beautiful and with many offers to see the wonderful sights, the ladies set out for some adventures of their own. Join Jan, Tina, Gini, Pat & Mary Louise as they decide to make Paris their own.
A little romance is in the air, but for one unlucky hoofer, this may be the last time she dances anywhere.
