I received an advance copy of this book, via NetGalley, in exchange for my honest review.

I was a bit disappointed when I first started reading this book. The title states Effortless Weight Loss with Continuous Glucose Monitoring. However, at the very beginning of the book, it states this book is not for diabetics. I continued to read anyway, and I'm glad I did! The reason it states that it isn't for diabetics is because a diabetic may not be able to reach the glucose levels discussed in the book. However, the plan can still be followed to lower your glucose. The author talks about setting your own goals, based on where you are in your journey. So, in my opinion, this plan absolutely can be used by diabetics, provided you adapt it for your body. The author gives tips on just how to do that.

Losing weight is never easy, but Sudipta lays out a clear plan that clearly works. He discusses building habits gradually, breaking things down by weeks. It takes some work, but the plan makes sense. It's written clearly, and explains why the steps are necessary, and how they help. Using a CGM, you can see how the steps in the plan help.

If you're only interested in the plan, and don't care about the science behind it, Sudipta has you covered. The first half of the book is the plan, in detail. If you want to know the science behind it, he has you covered there too. The second half of the book is all about the science.

If you're ready to stop counting calories, stressing about what you're eating, and how much, this book is a must read.
