Description

Just look around and you'll find someone who needs a helping hand. That's why we're called to be much more than pew-fillers and sermon-tasters. God is counting on every oneof us to give up flabby faith, roll up our sleeves … and SERVE. It's as simple as a random act of kindness, as selfless as teaching a group of rambunctious kids … and as adventurous as organizing a missions trip. This resource is filled with 180 encouraging scriptures, prayers, and quotes that honor the ordinary heroes in your church: volunteers.

What a great book! Loved the devotionals and scriptures. They are truly encouraging. I've ordered a copy for myself to share with some fellow volunteers at our church food ministry.

This book contains 180 encouraging thoughts for church volunteers, but really it should be for all christian service in home, in the community and in church. I am usually not a fan of devotionals as they are usually too short for my taste and self centered on quick promises for our own comfort, but this is to look outside ourself and are yes, still simple reminders but full of scripture and reminders to think of, serve and love others... a far better use of a devotional than most out there. Simple and effective.
