Description

"When you combine two brilliant storytellers such as Coble and Acker, the result is a beautiful, well-crafted legal thriller that keeps the reader utterly riveted." --Lynette Eason, bestselling author

"Coble and Acker have forged a seamless partnership with a singular voice." --Charles Martin, NYT bestselling author

USA TODAY bestselling romantic suspense author Colleen Coble and Rick Acker deliver the final book in their beloved Tupelo Grove series.

Hez and Savannah Webster have survived storms that would bury others without a love as strong as theirs--but can they withstand the final battle in the deadly Legare-Willard feud that threatens to sweep away everything they've fought for?

Hezekiah "Hez" Webster and his fiancée, Savannah, stand on the brink of a new life, but their dreams are haunted by specters of the past. Just as they're getting ready to adopt her nephew, two other petitioners also file for custody--both of whom only want Simon for their own gains.

Between the financial company that Hez outmaneuvered to save the university from ruin and the bad blood from the head of the Willard family, it's hard to say who wants them out of the way more. Hez and Savannah's quest for justice leads them through a labyrinth of family law, where loyalties are tested and trust is a dangerous luxury when every decision could be their last.

With the clock ticking, Hez and Savannah must confront the ghosts of their past and their deepest fears to secure a future for Simon. But with every secret revealed, the stakes grow higher. Can they build the family they've always dreamed of, or will their enemies succeed in tearing them apart forever?

The Tupelo Grove series reaches its breathtaking conclusion as an enemy's agenda for revenge runs darker than swamp water and justice remains as precarious as quicksand in this heart-pounding narrative that underscores the power of redemption and forgiveness.

Colleen Coble and Rick Acker's When Justice Comes is gripping suspense with closed-door, second-chance romance.

WHEN JUSTICE COMES is the final book in the Tupelo Grove Novels by COLLEEN COBLE and RICK ACKER, and it finishes off the series with a thrilling roller coaster ride as everything comes to a head, and the criminals are finally exposed.
While Hez and Savannah prepare for their upcoming wedding, they find themselves in the enemy’s crosshairs once again as they try unsuccessfully to adopt Savannah’s ten year old nephew Simon. ……
There is murder, kidnapping, lying, betrayal and blackmail, contrasted with romance, the support of friends, unconditional love and a good message on the importance of prayer.
I am not going to tell you any more for fear of spoiling things for you.
I highly recommend this enjoyable and exciting read to anyone who enjoys a good thriller.

I love all of Colleen Coble’s books and pick them up every time she has new releases . This is part of the series you don’t have to read the others but it is recommended to understand what is going on . This book has everything suspense, mystery and a little of romantic with the two characters.

When Justice Comes is the third and final book in The Tupelo Grove series. I suggest that this series be read in order starting with the first book Where Secrets Lie. This excellent spell-binding series is co-written with Rich Acker. In this book Hez and Savananah Webster are in the final stages of planning their wedding. They had been previously married and divorced but realized they are still in love and plan to remarry. They want to adopt Savannah's nephew. It was her dying sister's wish that her child be adopted by them but they are running into obtacles in adopting the child. Seems like the child's evil grandfather wants to adopt him also. He has powerful ties in the town and the court is leaning toward him. This book was filled with twists and turns and a couple of surprises here and there. People who enjoy romantic suspense thriller type books will enjoy this book.

I received a compliment copy of this book. All comments and opinions are my own.

When Justice Comes kept me up too late because I had to see what was going to happen.
Hez and Savanna have definitely had some obstacles to their relationship. It's very sad when
Ella is brought up. I liked the way the past was finally brought out in the open so we could see
why the families hated each other so much.
Another great read by Colleen Coble!

When Justice Comes is the third and final book in the Tupelo Grove series. I recommend reading the first 2 books in this series as they follow the same couple throughout this series. Each book builds on each other. While in the midst of preparing to get married to each other again, Savannah and Hez find themselves fighting to gain custody of their nephew Simon because 2 other partitioners want to have custody of Simon.
When Justice Comes also includes twists and turns, suspense, justice, forgiveness, a family feud, and family drama. Savannah and Hez have to be careful who they can trust. What a wonderful ending to this series.

Whom To Trust

This was such a great page turning series, and although I hate for it to end, I'm glad the answers came.
This book really takes up where the previous book left off, and I do think you could read this alone, you would miss the some key points.
Feuds and greed, long, long standing, and sadly the loss of life, and no one is really safe.
For some the pain never leaves, it may let up, and there is great faith here, but horrible revelations come to light!
There is to be a wedding, and obstacles keep falling, there is also a darling little boy that sadly gets caught up in the terror that some are using to get their own way.
I hate that this series is ending, but I'll be on the lookout for more by these authors, always a good read!

I found this third and last book in the series, catching me from the first pages to the end.
They crammed a lot in this last book and tying up the many questions this series has given me.
Trust and forgiveness is the theme in this well flowing plot..
i enjoyed her books and Rick Acker has added his touch.

I was so excited to finish up Hez and Savannah’s story!
What a wild ride!
Some of the twists and turns did not surprise me.
Sadly family feuds are so destructive to both families for generations.
I highly recommend this book to everyone! I would start with book one in the series, but while bad things happen, it isn’t overly suspenseful or graphic.

This is the dramatic and satisfying conclusion to the Tupelo Grove series. It sees Hezekiah and Savannah, trying to finally build the life they’ve been fighting toward. However, in the last book in the series, they are undergoing one final, high-stakes battle that tests their love and family.

Character relationships are at the heart. Themes of justice, redemption, forgiveness & loyalty are woven in nicely. Neither of the protagonists is perfect; both must make hard choices. Even for those who haven’t read the earlier books, the main storyline holds together well, though some character backstories resonate more if you’ve read the previous volumes.

I receive complimentary books from various sources, including NetGalley, authors, and others. I am not required to write a positive review, and I have not received any compensation for my thoughts.

This is a riveting and emotionally charged finale to the Tupelo Grove series—one I absolutely devoured in a single sitting. If you haven’t read the earlier books, I highly recommend starting from the beginning to fully appreciate the depth of Hez and Savannah’s journey.
In this final installment, Hez and Savannah—once married, then divorced, now reunited—are preparing for their second wedding while navigating the heart-wrenching process of adopting their ten-year-old nephew, Simon. Following the death of Savannah’s sister, her wish for Savannah to raise Simon is crystal clear. But that path is anything but smooth.
Old family rivalries, buried secrets, and criminal entanglements resurface, threatening to derail the adoption and tear apart what Hez and Savannah have fought so hard to rebuild. The stakes are high, the emotions raw, and the suspense relentless.
With masterful storytelling and unexpected twists at every turn, When Justice Comes delivers a roller coaster of drama, heart, and hope. A powerful conclusion that will leave fans deeply satisfied—and maybe even breathless.

This is the final book in the Tupelo Grove series and it went out with a bang. You definitely should read the first two books or you are missing out on a lot. Hez and Savannah are trying to build their life together again and want to adopt Simon. Unfortunately they are running into lots of problems. Lots of twists and turns and a surprise to me ending. Really good series.

Colleen always writes a winner!
Simon’s mother was killed and Hez and Savannah want to adopt him but so do two others but for different reasons— can they win and provide him. A Home? Much evil has happened and things are dangerous but Hez and Savanah hope to fix the wrongs and build a life for them and Simon
A captivating book you will love!

When Justice Comes is intriguing, complex, and layered - the story of overcoming old hurts, discovering past deceptions, misunderstandings, and revenge. I was at times frustrated, worried, and terrified. I was also, at times, touched by the sentimentality, and encouraged by love and forgiveness. I loved Savannah and Hez and delighted in their story of redemption and second chances. I especially loved Simon, with all his spunk and character. This is the final book in a wonderful trilogy - reading all three in order provides a more complete and unforgettable story. Well done, Colleen and Rick!

A fitting addition to the series, this book takes the reader through a custody trial for Simon when his Jess’s father ,Michael Willard, tries to claim him. Savannah and Hez are preparing to be remarried, and Michael manages to convince the judge that he is a danger to Simon. Savannah also make a shocking discovery about her father. The twists and turns made for an absorbing tale that was enjoyable to read even if a little triggering for this reader, who lived through a custody trial as well. I think this book will conclude the series, but I hope Coble and Acker will continue their writing partnership for the foreseeable future, because I will read whatever the two of them write.

This is the third book in the series and definitely a good one! A strong family basis throughout and shows how the sins of the father can affect future generations. I loved how justice was served even when an easier way could have been found, but oh so effective in breaking down barriers and healing grievances. Great read!

When Justice Comes is the third and final book in the Tupelo Grove Saga series. The heart-stopping, pulse-racing tempo never flags as the dangerous and dire race escalates towards the adoption-of-Simon deadline. Hez and Savannah, Michael Willard, Savannah's Dad, among others, collide and scramble to outdue each other. Some want to cover up misdeeds, especially of the illegal nature, while others wish to expose them towards gaining justice, as the book title would indicate. Help comes from God as well as from another unexpected source.

I found the narrative believable and the characters authentic. Although there are two authors writing I feel it is seamless. There were no blatant jumps from one writing style to another that I could detect. Therefore, the story ran with excellent connectivity.

As always, I appreciated the interjections about God, prayer and faith. These are a big plus for me. This book also offers discussion questions at book's end and touches on some of the issues encountered in the narrative such as: adoption rules in certain states; the idea of forgiveness for even terrible offences; dealing with grief and more.

I was well satisfied with this tale from beginning to ending. I give this book a 5-Star rating.

The final stage, the closing credits, the end of a wonderful love story full of surprises and unexpected moments.

I enjoyed the love story of Hez and Savannah, was sucked into the mystery and intrigue, and stayed up late wondering if Hez and Savannah would make it through together. I felt like they deserved their happily ever after and to be a family with Simon.

I will say I had not read the first two books prior to reading this and I was able to pick up on the story line quickly.

I highly recommend this book and thank Thomas Nelson Fiction and NetGalley for my advance readers copy. My review is honest opinion.

When Justice Comes is the exciting conclusion to the Tupelo Grove series by Colleen Coble and Rick Acker. The characters are wonderful and complex. It is Hez’s and Savannah’s story, a second chance love story. While planning their second wedding, they work to adopt their nephew, Simon. However, his grandfather also has rights and strives to adopt Simon into his crime family. Decades old grievances are unearthed and threaten the safety of their young nephew. Hez and Savannah will do anything to protect Simon even as their own lives are in jeopardy. It is fraught with danger that keeps the adrenaline flowing throughout the book. It could be read as a standalone, but reading all three books will give you the necessary continuity to understand all the characters. I highly recommend the entire series.

This is the third and final book in the Tupelo Grove series, and it wrapped things up in such a satisfying way. I’ve really enjoyed following Hez and Savannah through everything they’ve faced, and this last book finally brings all the pieces together. I loved finding out who was really behind everything that’s been happening to them, and the ending felt just right.

I’m honestly hoping we see these characters pop up again somewhere down the road. This was a great finish to a series I’ve really enjoyed.

When Justice Comes is the final book in the Tupelo Grove Trilogy. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough as I untangled this complicated web of a romantic and suspenseful mystery. The sentimental part of me loved seeing a flash of characters from the author's Pelican Harbor and Sanctuary series so I'm hopeful that we haven't seen the last of Savannah, Hez and Simon. I think Augusta deserves her own book. I'm sorry to see this series end because the combination of intense drama and unending faith in the power of God leads to high quality story telling.

Can you believe we are already closing out this incredible series? It feels like we have been right alongside Hez and Savannah as their story catapulted from one book to the next, and When Justice Comes delivers the breathtaking conclusion we’ve been waiting for. Colleen Coble and Rick Acker have mastered the blend of high-stakes suspense, deep-rooted family drama, and authentic faith elements, creating a narrative that feels both dangerous and heartwarming.

In this final installment, the tension is palpable as the couple fights for the adoption of their nephew, Simon. It is heart-wrenching to watch them navigate a labyrinth of family law, especially knowing there are other parties filing for custody for all the wrong reasons. The external threats from the Legare-Willard feud and the financial fallout add layers of danger that ensure the stakes remain incredibly high throughout the book.

What truly stands out, however, is the powerful theme of forgiveness that anchors the narrative. Amidst the twists and plenty of turns that kept me turning the pages late into the night, the emotional core of the story remains focused on redemption. If you have been following the Tupelo Grove series, this finale does not disappoint—it is a heart-pounding and satisfying end to a journey defined by resilience and love.

When Justice Comes, Book 3 of the Tupelo Grove trilogy, delivers a powerful and satisfying conclusion to the series. In this final installment, Hez and Savannah are fighting to adopt Savannah’s nephew, Simon—but they aren’t the only ones who want the child. What follows is a high-stakes story filled with twists, turns, and secrets revealed chapter by chapter. Old family rivalries, buried secrets, and dangerous criminal entanglements resurface, threatening not only the adoption but everything Hez and Savannah have worked so hard to rebuild.

The author masterfully blends suspense and family drama, keeping the tension high throughout. A strong theme of forgiveness and redemption is woven beautifully through the story, adding emotional depth and heart. The unexpected twists kept me engaged, and the conclusion did not disappoint—it was a deeply satisfying and well-earned ending to the trilogy. This is a highly recommended series with excellent storytelling and memorable characters.

WOW. WOW. WOW. Colleen Coble & Rick Acker do it again yall. The Tupelo Grove series is now in it's final stages with When Justice Comes, the last of the Legare, Willards and Websters saga. When Justice Comes comes out on March 3, I got the opportunity through NetGalley to read this early and I'm so glad I did. I was just excited to be getting back into their world. The themes in this book are justice, forgiveness as always Colleen Coble stays true to writing in her books, lots of family drama. Savannah and Hez are in for a fight of their lives, including keeping Simon safe. This last book umps up the danger and suspense. Just when you think you know all the suspense, the surprises keep coming. I loved this whole series and will go back to it again in the future, it was that good. You know there is some books you just have to re-read, well this is gonna be that.

This one was so good! That characters are real and raw. There was family drama, suspense, romance…this one is IT. I have loved each one of the books in this saga and this one delivered. Solid ending and great storyline. When Justice Comes is the third book in the Tupelo Grove series by Colleen Coble and Rick Acker. It does follow after the rest in the series, so it is best to read them in order. The story continues to follow Hez and Savannah as they work toward remarriage and adopting their nephew. As they work towards their family’s future, they have to come to terms with what has happened in their past.

This is a well written story that is filled with action, suspense and mystery. There is so much action taking place in this story that it’s hard to put down. I enjoyed the parts of how Savannah works to correct wrongs her father did in the past. I found it inspirational to see the young women in the story come forth with information to help Savannah and Hez. This is such a good story that shows how the evils in the world can come from anyone, anytime, anywhere.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishing team for the opportunity to read and listen to this title in advance of its release.

Another hit from Colleen Coble! I love reading stories that I am also comfortable with my teen reading as well. I will say, I am comfortable allowing my younger preteen to read many Colleen Coble books, but this series we will wait until she is a bit older on this one due to the subject nature.

I love how themes of mystery, murder, and God are flawlessly intertwined creating an amazing story world. I also love the locations chosen for each series and this one is no different! Hearing so many Baldwin County, AL references is so fun as a girl from the South!

If you are looking for an exciting story full of twists and turns, mature romance, and reminders of God’s faithfulness, you are in the right spot!

A pulse-pounding conclusion to the Tupelo Grove series. Savannah and Hez are taken through the wringer, quite literally, in an action based suspenseful experience that never really slows down until the final resolution brings it to a stop. Despite this, it is full of romance that reminds the reader of the power of love, while equally showing the ugliness of sin that results when power and revenge are pursued in earnest. I love the bond between Savannah and Hez and the hope of second chances. There is a thread of redemption woven throughout and a beautiful reminder that love does win. It was hard to watch Simon go through the confusion of finding his family and his place, but seeing Savannah and Hex fight for him sent a powerful message as well. I am sad to see the series wrap up as I have loved these characters but am very appreciative of the romantic suspense that continually points back to the Light and Truth.

There’s quite a bit about legal battles in this story and they were intense. I love the characters of Savannah, Hez and Simon. The setting is amazing as well. The action was fast paced and tense. Well written. I enjoyed the entire series. Highly recommend.

What a great finale to this series. Savannah and Hez have the battle of their lives to win custody of Simon. His maternal Grandfather, Michael, will stop at nothing to earn custody. Michael has no issue fighting dirty, and eliminating threats to his end game.
This story is fast paced, action packed, and unputdownable. An awesome conclusion.

This fast paced book drew me in right from the start and led me on a thrilling journey through danger, drama and romance right to the very end. While you kind of hoped you knew the ending you had to keep reading to know how it worked out and if what I wanted to happen actually did.
This is book 3 of the Tupelo Grove series and is best read after the other books. Hez and Savannah are busy planning their wedding when drama after drama keeps coming at them. Their plans to adopt nephew Simon seem straightforward but turn out to be anything but. Past events have a way of coming back to haunt them and send them off course. But with God's help, lots of communication and trust in those around them they are able to keep moving forward.
A stunning conclusion to the series which did keep me up reading late into the night. I loved that redemption and forgiveness were themes throughout and were clearly shown how Hez and Savannah treated those around them. I also enjoyed the connections into the Sanctuary series. A must read book and series.

If you like suspense, you will love this thrilling conclusion. This series has been a really good one. Buckle up for another wild ride. Loose ends are tied up as this series concludes. Hez and Savannah along with their nephew, Simon, who they adopted, will finally be out of danger and able to live their happily-ever-after and have a normal life. There are lots of twists and turns in this book. The stunning conclusion will be a huge surprise! Enjoy! I received a complimentary copy of this book. A thrilling conclusion to a fantastic series! From beginning to end, nonstop drama & danger to keep you engaged throughout. Savannah and Hez continue to fight for their future as well as continue to determine who is behind all the danger surrounding them. Twists and turns to keep you guessing with shocking twists that I did not expect. The storyline draws you in and keeps you totally engaged until the very end.

This has been a fantastic series, and I hated to see it end. Coble and Acker do a masterful job weaving together this book to answer all your questions and allow you to finish the book feeling like it is complete. I have loved these characters and really hope they make appearances in their future books.

This is the third installment of the Tupelo Grove series and it absolutely did not disappoint. Savannah and Hez are left in this final chapter, to deal with the legacy Savannahs family has left them. Savannah’s late sister, Jess, left a son Simon, whose adoption is not as straightforward as Hez and Jess had hoped and a legal battle with Jess’ father ensues. This book is filled with cliff hanger moments from start to finish. This story wraps up the 3 part series wonderfully and reminds the reader that God always has a plan and that believers should always do the right thing. I appreciated reading this ARC and these opinions are my own. Colleen Coble is always a win in my opinion but the collaboration with Rick Acker is fantastic.

What a gripping end to the trilogy of books by Colleen Coble and Rick Acker. I’ve read all three books in the Tupelo Grove series. This series was my first time reading these authors. The series was definitely full of interesting characters and drama all throughout. The final book”When Justice Comes” is probably my favorite book in the series.

In this final book the characters, Savannah and Hez endure strife and conflict in the midst of rebuilding their relationship leading up to their marriage. The amount of suspense and surprise is engaging while the ultimate them of justice and forgiveness is prominent.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC. The opinion here is my own honest review.

When Justice Comes is the conclusion of the three book series in the Tupelo Grove series. I do recommended reading the series in order, but feel free to live your live in chaos and jump in the middle. But you may miss some things.

This story brings a custody battle to the forefront. Hez and Savannah get ready to fight the Willard family for custody of her nephew, Simon. But danger lurks on every page, and there are a myriad of possible suspects. Who has the most to gain from silencing Hez and gaining Simon's trust?

I'm convinced Colleen Coble and Rick Acker write in their own genre! This to me is a total family drama more than a romantic suspense, although there's plenty of suspense to go around. Coble dives deep into family dynamics while Acker lends his legal knowledge to the plot. With two feuding families, an untrustworthy father, a blackmail scheme, dealing with loss, and the custody dispute, the characters deal with all the emotional fallout. I love the entire series! It's kept me hooked, and I love the collaboration between Coble's family drama style and Acker's legal thriller. It's a nice mix. I'm a little sad the series is ending.

I listened to the audiobook and it's fantastic. Great narration and it definitely adds to the story to listen to it.

I received an ebook review copy of this book through NetGalley. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

When Justice Comes by Collen Coble and Rick Acker

This was so awesome! Suspense with every page! I really couldn’t put it down.

In this third and final novel of the Tupelo Grove series, Hez and Savannah find trouble around every turn. I enjoyed this because not every couple survives the loss of a child. They rediscover their love and attempt to rewrite their story in the midst of threats, danger, family secrets, and lies. They encounter darkness in every direction. Dark family secrets with deadly vendettas almost tear them apart.

Their nephew, Simon, becomes a pawn when the couple files for adoption and two other petitioners come forward. They endure a harrowing experience in family court.

There are so many things happening with so much suspense, you will stay up late reading!

I loved this because it made me feel with the characters. I was frustrated, angry, sad, and happy. That means I truly connected with the characters and the story. There is nothing better for a reader than being so immersed in a story that you laugh, cry, and scream with the characters.

I absolutely love the dogs! Marley and Cody are wonderful! Cody’s description just made me laugh out loud. I think it’s important to carry pets through a story if they are introduced as characters. The authors did a splendid job with this aspect.

The characters are well developed and very relatable.

Some interesting quotes:

“He had come to the end of the mission he set himself-really the end of his life- and he finally gripped the prize in his hands. But somehow, he held only ashes.” ( - this just spoke to me on several levels.)

“All your grades matter for college, and you’ll use math the rest of your life.” (As a parent I have used something similar.)

“She still wasn’t sure what breed to call Cody with his Chihuahua legs, oversized Great Dane ears, and greyhound body, His crooked Chesapeake Bay retriever tail added to his comical appearance.” (This made me love Cody even more!)

I have really enjoyed the whole series. Colleen and Rick did a phenomenal job co-writing; it was seamless to the reader!

I was privileged to have the ability to review both formats of the book. The narration on the audiobook was superb! The individual voices given to the characters further developed them even more than the writing. It gave them depth and personality beyond the page. 5+/5

I would like to Thank Colleen Coble, Rick Acker, Thomas Nielson, and NetGalley for the opportunity to review an ARC of both the audiobook and the e-book of this novel. The opinions expressed here are my own

The authors have done a wonderful job writing this series. It has been a wild tale and this is the perfect ending with resolution of the different issues that have been there in each book. Savannah and Hez have come a long way from where they started in the first book with many snags and pitfalls in their path. There are lots of bad people in both the Willard and Legare families and there are times that it is hard to know who to trust. But their faith and love have carried them through. We see greed, hatred, and self-service but also healing, forgiveness, trust, satisfaction, a new beginning and family, and justice in this final story. I have enjoyed reading all the books in this series.

When Justice Comes is a very satisfying ending to the three novel series Tupelo Grove by Colleen Coble and Rick Acker. A new reader should absolutely read the first two books in the series. What We Hide and Where Secrets Lie will explain what events have transpired to bring Hezekiah and Savannah Webster to where they are today.

In When Justice Comes, Hez and Savannah are shocked when they come home to a man holding a gun on them demanding Hez's phone. From there, things just get worse. Savannah's nephew, Simon, has been living with them since his mother's death, and his birth father and grandfather both want custody. As the walls begin closing in on them, Hez and Savannah must fight for Simon, fight for the truth, fight a decades long family feud and fight for their love amidst betrayal and lies.

I enjoyed reading When Justice Comes and read it in one sitting. It has a good plot line, likable characters, and an overall theme of constant prayer and trust in God. I definitely recommend reading this book!

I didn't think it was possible for Hez and Savannah's life to get any more difficult, but buckle up, because their ride is only beginning! Acker and Coble shove this story into high gear from the very beginning and it doesn't let up until the last page has been turned. I needed to hide my eyes sometimes, figuratively speaking, only I couldn't put it down!

The fast pace and high stakes are what made this story for me. The twists and turns make it unforgettable, and there are great lessons to be learned, but at a very high cost for the characters.

Because of that, there were times when I found myself ready to shake the book and yell at them for making what seemed to be crazy decisions. When Justice Comes drew me in and wouldn't let go!

So make sure to clear your schedule and find a place to read where you're alone - or not within earshot of others - or you may find yourself the subject of funny looks when those around you realize you're shouting at a book.

** “Justice is supposed to win, and yet it so often doesn’t.” **

Colleen Coble and Rick Acker wrap up their incredible Tupelo Grove series with “When Justice Comes,” a story of betrayal and finding forgiveness.

Savannah and Hez Webster are still working toward remarrying and adopting their nephew Simon, but continue to hit obstacle after obstacle, including deadly ones. They also continue to solve legal matters and bring certain people in their lives to justice. But can they overcome seemingly impossible challenges? Will they reach their wedding date? And will they be able to adopt Simon, or lose him to unfit family members?

Once again, Coble and Acker do an incredible job of creating a fast-paced, intense plot filled with twists and turns, leaving the reader guessing as to who is responsible for which evil deed, and will they be held accountable. They continue to use an intriguing cast of characters, as well as visits from characters and locations from Coble’s other series.

They also include many great themes, like we live in a very broken world, so how can we overcome that?; withstanding storms and overcoming trauma; God will safely bring us through our storms; it’s hard to trust others, especially those who have proven themselves to be untrustworthy; dealing with betrayal; anger will burn through your heart; and finding justice.

Fans of Lynette Eason, Kelly Irvin, Terri Blackstock and Irene Hannon will love “When Justice Comes,” which is due out March 3. I would not recommend reading this as a standalone novel.

Five stars out of five.

Great end to a great series. The final book in the Tupelo Grove series is a stunner. You won't see the ending coming. Hez Webster and his fiancé, Savannah Webster, are confronted with murder and secrets all while trying to keep the college they both love solvent. Savanah has been teaching at the college for years and thinks that's where she will stay. Her sister also works there but her sister doesn't have the same heart for the college as Savannah does. Savannah and Hez were married previously but got divorced after the death of their child. Now they have reconciled but there are many people that don't want that to happen. When her sister is murdered, Savannah is supposed to be her nephew's guardian for life. Two other men want him as well. One for money and one for revenge. I highly recommend this series and this book. You probably need to read the first two books so this conclusion will make sense. You won't regret getting the whole series. Book 3 in the Tupelo Grove series will keep you on edge, just as books 1 and 2 did. I do recommend reading them in order to get the most from this story. Each book builds on the other and follows the same people, Hez and Savannah..

Romantic suspense. Twists and turns. Forgiveness and second chances. Suspense. Danger. Intrigue. Family drama as Hez and Savannah fight for young Simon. This book has it all, including well developed characters and a great story line. Will you figure out the ending? I think you’re in for a surprise. Give it a read!

Wow! They got me good!
Savannah and Hez have fought battles involving family, career and his self-destruction after the loss of their little girl. They found each other again and have worked on trust, faith and love to help them get through rough times. Now they are working together to adopt her young nephew but find themselves with opponents they didn't expect.
I want to sincerely thank Thomas Nelson Publishing for my advanced reader's copy for this final book in the Tupelo Grove series via NetGalley. This is my own unsolicited opinion of the book. It's excellent. As a reader I can visualize the characters, university campus, homes, even the unfinished wreck of a building that her father failed to finish. Coble and Acker delve into the nastiness of greed, past wrongs and the need for justice between two families that have been in feud mode for years. There are some mighty twists and turns in this story. It's an excellent and quite surprising ending to a magnetic series. It certainly speaks of the importance of forgiveness and faith. It's a very strong 5-star rating for me.

When Justice Comes by Colleen Coble and Rick Acker is the suspense-loaded continuation of their Tupelo Grove series. This book will keep you on your toes for sure! There is just trial and trouble on every side for poor Hez and Savannah! Conspiracy, danger, deception, deceit, and terror abound as the story begins. Take heart! The number of issues do slow down at times, so it isn’t all so dangerous-filled and scary for our two main characters. The plot is well-developed. The characters are rich and real: you will either love them (aka Hez, Savannah, Simon) or you will hate them (I’ll let you decide on these nefarious ones). If I had to criticize anything in the book, it is that the list of horrible things going on starts to feel crazy heavy early on in the story. But, fear not. Just as in our lives when God promises that Light overcomes Darkness, the same usually happens in a well-written book. Not always does the conflict resolve the way we think it will or should, but resolution does come and characters usually learn some good lessons along the way. And sometimes the reader does too!
I highly recommend this book if you like suspense. It will keep you guessing and keep you rooting for the right side to win.

When Justice Comes is a compelling, heart tugging conclusion to the outstanding Tupelo Grove series! After reading the first two books of the series, I was waiting anxiously for this one. I was not disappointed! The masterfully crafted, fast paced plot had everything I expected--suspense, danger, emotion-packed family drama, sweet second chance romance, and meaningful faith themes. Just when I thought I knew what would happen next, a surprising twist came up and kept me guessing again. I was very pleased that this final book of the series answered all my lingering questions and provided a complete and fulfilling ending to the series. It is now on my Best Reads of the Year list. Thanks to the authors and Netgalley for being able to read this book. When Justice Comes is the third and final book of this series. I would advise if you have not read the first two books, you should. It would give some background. However, you can read it as a stand alone if you like. I found this book absolutely riveting! Not only is there the suspense on the ongoing family feud between the Legares and Willards, but also the well being of a young boy who lost his mother. The Websters not only have a wedding to plan, but will have to fight for Simon. Many twists and turns are in this book and will take you on some surprising adventures. The questions that arise are who really was responsible for the death of Jess and Ella? Who will get the right of adoption for Simon? Not only is there thrills and suspense, but there is faith, love, forgiveness and justice in this book. Of course Boo the gator is still there and has his own love story. As always it was a book that was hard to put down and not read in one sitting.

Wow, this book never lets up on the accelerator! I just couldn’t stop reading from the first intense pages, through all the twists and turns of discovering the truth, to the custody battle that pulls your heartstrings, all the way to the satisfying epic conclusion of this trilogy. Coble and Acker have a way of collaborating that draws on your emotions and your need for all the book’s secrets to reveal themselves to keep those pages turning. This book is non-stop. Not action, per se, but hurdles and burning questions that come like ocean waves, one after the other.

This series is a triumph of pulse-pounding moments, all the drama, and jaw dropping twists. And on top of it all, the sweetest second chance romance, full of bumps in the road but culminating in a full display of God’s ability to restore.

I’ve been cheering for Hez and Savannah this whole time, and by this book I’ve seen such immense growth, maturity in their relationship, and so much healing. Their love for each other hasn’t had an easy road, but with God’s help, they’ve learned to lean on each other and the One who knows the truth and will have His own justice. There are beautiful faith themes of forgiveness, justice, and letting go and letting God.

You absolutely need to read this series in order- you’d have no idea what’s going on if you picked up this book first! This finale is SO rewarding. All your questions will finally be answered, all secrets brought to light. The getting there will surprise you at every turn, which made this book a delight to read.

The third installment in the Tupelo Grove series by bestselling authors Colleen Coble and Rick Acker, When Justice Comes, starts out with edge of the seat suspense, and it doesn’t quit till the end of the novel. Hez and Savannah Webster are looking forward to not only get married to each other for the second time, but also to adopt Savannah’s nephew, Simon, after her sister’s murder. Unfortunately, Simon’s grandfather, Michael, who is sort of a mob boss, and Simon’s father, Eric file for custody, and it opens up a can of worms. The story is full of twists and turns as Hez and Savannah try to show that they will be the best parents to Simon, and while doing so, put themselves in danger, as well as family on both sides.

These two authors are talented storytellers, and the story is easy to follow. However, there are several sub-plots to keep track of, and readers will want to read carefully so as not to miss anything that is going on. Although this is the third installment, there is enough information on the characters that readers will find them believable. Savannah is a great protagonist, and well-developed. Hez and Simon, as well as the other supporting characters are also well-developed, and readers will find themselves on the edge trying to figure out just who the real bad guys are – even though most of them are actually family. The authors do an excellent job of capturing the culture of the south, and those who are lucky enough to listens to the audio book, will enjoy it more, since the narrator is excellent and is able to speak with different southern (and English since Simon went to boarding school in England) accents.

This series is well-written, fascinating, and highly recommended.

Confession: One hundred percent of me wanted to gobble up When Justice Comes by Colleen Coble & Rick Acker as quickly as the advanced copy hit my Kindle a few months ago. BUT I forced myself to wait until the week before its release because I knew it would be the final book in the series and I just wasn’t ready to say goodbye to these characters. I honestly couldn’t wait one second longer than that though because this series has lived rent free in my head since one particular sucker punch twist in the first book. And I’m super happy that I don’t have to say goodbye to this writing duo yet since, rumor has it, they have some other collabs in the works. Coble and Acker each know how to deliver a riveting suspense/thriller on their own – combine their powers and you have absolute storytelling magic!

When Justice Comes, as the title suggests, brings to a head all the secrets, deception, and crimes that Hez and Savannah have been up against since What We Hide. In fact, I do highly recommend that you start with What We Hide and then Where Secrets Lie before you read this third and final book. It’s not imperative, I suppose, but if you want to experience the fullness of all the nuanced relationships and the overarching suspense thread (and its twists – oh the twists!!!!) that carries across the series, read the books in order. Or, you know, you can live dangerously and start at the end. UP TO YOU. (haha)

Anyway, back to this book. I’ve been so invested in Hez and Savannah’s journey back to happily-ever-after after a tragedy tore them apart, and this time they’re in a fight for their own lives like never before, one that might block that HEA before they can reach the altar a second time. Not to mention how they are left reeling amid more than one shocking betrayal and a stunning custody battle for Savannah’s nephew Simon. To say I was glued to these pages would be an understatement of the highest order. I wanted that HEA – for them and for Simon. I wanted all the truth revealed. I wanted justice done at last. I even eagerly anticipated seeing a few characters get what was coming to them. But of course Coble and Acker wouldn’t make it that cut-and-dried. There are revelations that I didn’t see coming. Moments where I wasn’t sure who was going to win or what kind of victory it would be – or even who would survive. And, while justice does come at last in this third book, it also has the marks of grace all over it. Which is so. much. better! (And also, yes, the justice was still very satisfying too lol)

Bottom Line: When Justice Comes by Colleen Coble and Rick Acker is everything I hoped this long-anticipated story would be and then some. I’ve been emotionally invested in these characters since book one, and this conclusion proves that justice (and grace) was worth the wait. But if you think you know how the Tupelo Grove series is going to end, don’t get too comfy. Because Coble and Acker’s stellar co-writing skills have carved out a layered story with relentless tension, high emotional stakes, and twists that pull the rug out from under us. This Tupelo Grove series really does have something for every reader – family feuding, suspense, villainy, financial fraud, legal drama, murder, alligators, grief, joy, custody battles, a coastal campus setting in the deep South, great dogs, redemption, even a little second chance romance… and HOPE. Lots of hope. And When Justice Comes is the perfect finale.

The final installment in the Tupelo Grove series is a humdinger. My nerves are completely shredded.

The Legare-Willard battle continues. The storm contained in these pages may be the mightiest one yet for Hezekiah (Hez) Webster and his soon to be wife, Savannah Legare. They should be able to enjoy wedding planning and looking forward to a bright future. Instead they are embroiled in an ugly custody battle for Savannah's nephew.

You will be taken into the halls of justice and receive a legal education on family law/adoptions that will leave you beating your hands on the side of your chair. There is nothing sadder than a custody battle, especially when one party to the matter is using the child as a bargaining chip.

The suspense was tense beyond belief. There is a tapestry of emotions that resonated with me as I fell headfirst into this masterpiece of intrigue, suspense, mystery and raw emotion.

Strife and conflict are prominent themes, but on the flip side forgiveness and kindness counterbalance all the nail biting (sometimes evil) moments. I highly recommend you start with book 1 so you can more fully enjoy the character dynamics, along with the story. It is well worth your time to read them all.

Thank you to Thomas Nelson Fiction and NetGalley for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This book neatly wrapped up all the drama that had been building in the previous two books. It was filled with the suspense, mystery and intrigue that makes a Colleen Coble novel hard to put down. I loved the way the authors brought everything to a conclusion and saw justice done for long hidden crimes. To get the full impact of this book, the previous two books must be read. I received this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Oh wow! This third and final book of the Tupelo Grove series by Colleen Coble and Rick Acker was just awesome. A very satisfying conclusion. Though I am sad that it is at the end. I admit, I do hope we see a little bit of Hez and Savannah in the next Sanctuary book that's releasing later this year. I did love how the characters from the three series set in and around Pelican Harbor have been interacting. I loved seeing Paradise and Blake and also getting to see Jane Dixon and Will.

Now, back to When Justice Comes specifically. Hez and Savannah are on the cusp of getting remarried and adopting Savannah's nephew whose mother recently died. They've gone through so much to get here, and yet, they are now up against even more. They suddenly find themselves in a custody battle while at the same time dealing with more danger. Who exactly is behind the attacks and the blackmail and the kidnapping? Will they be able to retain custody of Simon as his mother wished, or will those who are after him for nefarious purposes get their way? Will there ever be an end to the feud between the Willard and Legare families?

So many new truths come out in this story. Some were quite a surprise.

This book kept me on the edge of my seat and I did not want to have to put it down. Even when I was trying to get other things done, my mind was on this book, and I was telling my family about what was going on. That's always going to be a five-star book for me. It is filled with danger and suspense and deception. In addition to the child custody battle (which really grabbed my attention because of things in my personal life) they were dealing with someone trying to frame one of our main characters.

But there was hope. There was faith and trust. The characters believed in God and prayed to Him, continuing to trust in Him and leave things in His hands. We also see a life changed and characters learning to forgive, not just others, but themselves.

It was just an awesome book and one I highly recommend. But make sure to read this series in order as each book does lead into the next one. You may even want to read the Pelican Harbor books to get to know Jane. We see quite a bit of her in this book. And you can get to know Paradise and Blake by reading the Sanctuary series. Though each series can be read and enjoyed without the other.

I received an e-copy of this book through NetGalley and was not required to write a favorable review. These are my own honest thoughts.

“The right choice isn’t easy and takes courage.

When Justice Comes picks right up where book two left off and was the perfect conclusion to Hez and Savannah’s story. There were so many surprises as all questions were finally answered. It made me happy to see them find happiness in each other again and start their new life together. I really was stressed at points in the story wondering just how everything could be resolved and I love that Simon will be raised by Hez and Savannah. They are both such strong characters and have such integrity. The story continues the theme of forgiveness and I respect that Hez and Savannah didn’t find it easy to forgive those who had wronged them and their family. I thought that was a very realistic portrayal. As Christians, we are called to forgive, but it’s not always easy. There was so much betrayal and heartbreak that all of the characters faced in different ways. I thought it was interesting how some used the heartache they faced to become stronger and better people, while others used it as an excuse to do evil.

I really enjoyed **When Justice Comes by Colleen Coble and Rick Acker. It was a suspenseful and emotional conclusion to the Tupelo Grove series that kept me turning the pages. I loved how the story blended family drama, faith, and mystery while following Hez and Savannah as they fight for their future and for Simon. There were plenty of twists and moments that kept me guessing, but the themes of forgiveness, justice, and second chances really stood out. Overall, it was a satisfying ending to the series and a great read for anyone who enjoys clean suspense with heart.

The dynamic conclusion to this series! It would be hard to understand all that is going on if you haven't read the first two books. There are too many underlying storylines and past events that need resolution in this book! I suppose you could piece it together but do yourself a favor and read the first two books! Become familiar with the people, the past betrayals, the simmering anger and what has led up to what is happening in this book!
Savannah and Hez are fighting tooth and nail to adopt their nephew, Simon. The hoops they have to jump through against the other people wanting to adopt are just plain crazy but realistic. It shows what our judges and justice system have to contend with. Although this is the focus of the story, there are so many other storylines to wrap up! There is a lot of action! Past betrayals and perceived "justice" come into play heavily. People wanting their pound of flesh for someone who wronged them. Through it all, at least Savannah & Hez hang on their faith and God to see them through. That is not the case for others! I will miss these characters after going through so much with them!

When Justice Comes is the third and final book in the Tupelo Grove series.

Hez and Savannah Webster have managed to withstand many trials and tribulations, but the Legare-Willard feud has escalated to a new level as both families fight for the custody of Simon Webster, Jess' son. Jess wanted Savannah and Hez to raise her son, but the families want to use him for their own vendettas and greed. Hez, Savannah, and Simon find themselves caught in the middle and discover their lives are in danger in a no holds barred fight for the winner to take all.

This was a thrilling and riveting final book. It was fast-paced, full of danger, as Hez and Savannah fought for what was best for Simon. I loved this series. The writing is spectacular and the characters are well written. I highly recommend this book and the whole series for anyone that loves a wild ride.

When Justice Comes by Colleen Coble and Rick Acker brings their riveting trilogy to a powerful conclusion. In this final installment, Hez and Savannah are engaged and preparing to remarry after the painful issues that led to their divorce. At the same time, they’re hoping to adopt Savannah’s nephew, Simon. This should all bring a fresh start for their rebuilt family.

But nothing comes easily. Their plans are threatened when they discover they aren’t the only ones seeking custody. Shockingly, the competing petitioners are members of a crime family. While they have managed to avoid prosecution for their wrongdoing, Hez and Savannah know exactly what these individuals are capable of, and they are determined to keep Simon safe.

The battle for custody proves far more complicated than they anticipated. Hez is still recovering from critical surgery, and the strain of the legal fight only adds to the pressure. To make matters worse, other relatives who should have Simon’s best interests at heart seem driven by motives of their own.

Hez and Savannah have fought hard to find their way back to each other, and everything they’ve rebuilt feels precariously close to unraveling. The story is intense and layered with drama, yet it also carries a sharp emotional edge that grounds the suspense in something deeply personal.

I’ve truly enjoyed spending time with Hez and Savannah throughout this series, watching them navigate faith, forgiveness, and second chances. Because of their complicated history and the ongoing storylines, this trilogy is best read in order for the full emotional impact.

Many thanks to Thomas Nelson and to NetGalley for this ARC for review this is my honest opinion.

Hez and Savannah are set to relax and prepare for their upcoming wedding, but it soon becomes clear that there's to be no rest yet. Their adoption of her nephew Simon is contested on multiple fronts, and events remind them that Hez's actions to save the university also won him - or them - some bitter enemies. Will they be able to protect Simon from those who want him from far-from-pure motives? And can they survive not only the machinations of the man Hez cost millions of dollars but an old family feud?

An impressive and satisfying end to an amazing, albeit sometimes somewhat dark, series. With how much some well and truly unChristian ideas and thought patterns come out (mostly in the villains), it was good to see the discussion of forgiveness and our attitude towards revenge. Hez and Savannah still have things to work through as a couple, and it was good to see their growth over the series, despite the difficulties they've faced. And the whole suspense/thriller side of things did a great job of tying up series plots and reaching a satisfying end without trying to give the impression that everything will be rosy for them from now on. Note that this is best read as a series, relying fairly heavily on the previous two books. But now they're all out, you can binge them all at once... Recommended.

This is a great third book involving Hez and Savannah. They continue to face challenges over adopting Savannah's nephew Simon as his paternal grandfather makes it his mission to get custody. Lots of action and shocking revelations about the loss of their daughter. I always enjoy Colleen Coble and Rick Acker's storytelling. It's always an engrossing mystery with no inappropriate language or situations and proof that Christian thriller novels can be wholesome. I appreciate they are never afraid to portray prayer and showing characters leaning on faith to get through challenges.

The heated feud between the Legare and Willard families becomes downright dangerous and intriguing in the final book of this absorbing series. Hez Webster just wants to remarry Savannah, adopt Simon and move into a new home together. Standing in his way is the patriarch of the Willard family, a man bent on revenge who will do anything to stop Hez from achieving his goals. Unfortunately, Simon becomes a pawn in Michael Willard’s game and Hez and Savannah have to try to find a way to stop him using legal means. This book is fast-paced and totally engaging as I raced to find out what Michael would do next, who would work with him in his evil scheme and who could be trusted by Hez and Savannah. The characters were rich and realistically flawed, making me cheer for the good guys to win. The novel is filled with suspense and heart-pounding moments as Michael seeks to destroy anyone in his path to revenge against the Legares. With a strong message of forgiveness and brilliantly plotted misdirection, this novel was the perfect conclusion to the Tupelo Grove series, with satisfying resolutions and romance built into the non-stop action.

This book was an emotional and gripping read that stayed with me long after I finished the final page. The third book and final of a series. Colleen Coble and Rick Acker masterfully combines suspense, family secrets, and faith into a story filled with twists and heartfelt moments.

What made this book especially memorable were the characters. Savannah Webster’s journey was powerful as she returned home and faced painful truths about her past and her family. Her strength, vulnerability, and determination made her very relatable. Hez Webster was a touching character whose quiet presence and loyalty added warmth and depth to the story. And Simon Webster brought emotional complexity that made the family dynamics feel real and meaningful.

The mystery itself kept me guessing, and the emotional connections between the characters made the story even stronger. The themes of justice, forgiveness, and healing were beautifully written and added depth beyond the suspense.

Savannah, Hez, and Simon will stay with me. Their story was both moving and unforgettable. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys clean suspense with strong characters, emotional depth, and a meaningful message.

When Justice Comes brings us to the conclusion of this outstanding trilogy. Hez and Savannah Webster have fought hard for their second chance overcoming obstacles that try to stop them. They are fighting for custody of Simon, Savannah's half sister's son, but their enemies continue to fight them. Simon's father and grandfather each want him for their own reasons. These are not good people.

Colleen Coble and Rick Acker ramp up the suspense as more secrets are revealed and danger surrounds Hez and Savannah. This is a book that needs to be read after the first two in the series. There is so much backstory that explains relationships and how it all ties together. This is a fantastic way to end the series. I hope this writing partnership continues. I love this series, and I particularly enjoy how Colleen and Rick weave the themes of forgiveness, justice and love and faith into the story.

When Justice Comes by Colleen Coble and Rick Acker

The final book in the thrilling trilogy is filled with action and deception. Savannah and Hez are still reeling from the events that took place in book one and two. They are trying to overcome the potential threats that are still present in their lives all piecing their lives and Tupelo Grove University back together. Book 3 introduces a new antagonist that just adds to the pressure and brings an added sense of urgency to their lives.

This was an excellent final book of the series that tied together many loose threads and concluded with all the shocking answers being revealed.

A super suspense and mystery! Hez and Savannah are on an adoption battle over Savannah's nephew, Simon, with 2 other parties. This book grabs you and pulls you in from word one. It is the final book in the series and answers many questions from the previous two books. I love these books! They have just the right amount of suspense to keep you reading and coming back for more.

There are no swears, side characters drink alcohol, and level 1 kisses only. Dual POV.

What a thrilling story to end the Tupelo Grove trilogy. Hez and Savannah Webster once again are fighting the evil that seems to chase them. They have to fight for custody of her nephew Simon from his paternal grandfather and work together to finally find who is behind trying to close TGU.
This series keeps me on the edge as it is so suspenseful, but I also feel so much sadness for those whose lives have been ruined by greed. I love how the authors have woven their faith throughout the books.
I would recommend reading books one and two in the series before reading this one. I like the partnership that Acker and Coble bring to their stories and find them more enjoyable than the novels written individually. I started this book on kindle, but ended up listening to the audio and the narration made the story even better.

The blood feud between the Legare and Willard families reaches a breaking point and threatens Savannah and Hez's wedding, and their decision to adopt Simon after his mother is murdered. Wow! What a thrilling, satisfying conclusion to a fantastic series! When Justice Comes took me on a rollercoaster ride & didn’t let go. Colleen Coble & Rick Acker are a dream team when it comes to romantic suspense, & I’ve loved every minute of the Tupelo Grove series. Hez & Savannah have been through so much, & just when I thought they’d finally get their happily ever after, more gut-wrenching challenges arise. Along with the ups & downs of their relationship, past trauma, loss, & deep family secrets, they now face the possibility of losing custody of their nephew. As they dig into the past, long-buried secrets surface & they finally have a chance for justice, if they can survive.

Savannah Webster feels like her dreams are finally coming true; she’s the new president of Tupelo University, she & Hez have their dream home, her remarriage is months away, & they’re preparing to adopt their nephew Simon. But Simon’s biological father & grandfather, Michael Willard, are both vying for custody, not for his welfare, but for control of his trust fund. Savannah & Hez are forced to uncover long-buried secrets to prove they’re the best choice for Simon.

The deadly Legare-Willard feud has raged for decades, & digging up dirt on Michael stirs up a hornet’s nest. As they search for evidence, their lives are threatened & their trust in each other & the justice system is pushed to the limit. Meanwhile, the financial company Hez once outsmarted is still hunting for a way around his deadman’s switch. With danger closing in from all sides, it’ll take a miracle to survive & right the wrongs of the past.

I absolutely adore Hez & Savannah! Their second-chance romance, steadfast faith, & deep love for each other carries them through every trial, & I loved seeing them finally get the justice & ending they deserve. I also loved getting answers to Savannah’s complicated family history & seeing how past choices shaped the present.

The action is nonstop in this surprising, powerful conclusion & I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. Highly recommend! I definitely suggest reading the series in order, as each book builds on the last. I received an advanced copy from the publisher with no expectation of a positive review. All opinions are completely my own & provided voluntarily.

When Justice Comes is a great ending to Hez and Savannah's story. The sins of the past continue to weave throughout Hez and Savannah's story. Colleen Coble and Rick Acker skillfully weave an intriguing mystery with a tale of what can come from jealousy, grief, and revenge. All these things are knit together into a story that will have you reading long into the night. Be prepared for a tired morning! The truth is an elusive thing, hard to grab onto at times. Will Hez and Savannah be able to find the truth in time? Hold on for the rollercoaster ride to find out. I highly recommend this book. These are automatic read authors for me. Colleen Coble and Rick Acker deliver once again! I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Exciting conclusion to an absorbing series, this one kept me on the edge of my seat. Wonderful cast of characters including Savannah and Hez, a married couple who divorced after a tragedy and are now engaged and looking forward to another wedding. They are anticipating adopting her nephew Simon.
With a long-standing feud between the Willards and the LeGares and a custody battle ensuing, Savannah and Hez have more to worry about than their jobs, renovating their house and their upcoming wedding. Danger lurks around every corner as they try to honor God and decipher who to trust.
This was a fast-paced story in a beautiful setting with a complicated plot. It made me want to read the whole series again.
It is worth it to travel to Nova Cambridge, Alabama and read the story of Savannah and Hez.

Colleen Coble hit a bullseye with this book. When Justice Comes is a Christian romantic suspense and it truly hit solidly in all three genres. Her characterizations and setting of the Mobile Bay was accurate. The only part that I took issue with is this: a June wedding would have been HOT! LOL That said, I liked Savannah and Hez but fell in love with Simon. I only wish the three them could have had their moment in court face to face with the judge. I found it hard to believe that the judge didn't follow up with the family dynamics personally. Other than those two caveats, this novel was fabulous!

When Justice Comes is the third and final novel in the Tupelo Grove trilogy by writing partners Colleen Coble and Rick Acker. This is a sequential series following Savannah Webster, new president of Tupelo Grove University, and her fiancé, and ex-husband, Hezikiah Webster, attorney and part time professor.

As their wedding approaches, as does the adoption of Savannah’s nephew Simon and the finalized purchase of their seaside home, forces come in to play to prevent their new life beginning. As the adoption hearing approaches both Simon’s biological father and biological grandfather enter petitions for adoption as well, even though Savannah’s sister Jessica, Simon’s late mother, specifically designated Savannah and Hez as guardians for Simon. Shots are fired into their new home, Hez’s condo is broken into and he’s held at gunpoint, and that’s just the beginning.

In a series of events that include kidnappings, shootings, and so much more happens as the story unfolds. This is another well designed twisting plot set in the Alabama low country. The characters are drawn with depth and dimension. The story takes the reader on an exciting ride and the series concludes in a very satisfying manner. I did enjoy this book, and series, and do recommend it!

So much excitement in this story!! That Simon can be a little stinker, yet he's kinda sweet too... Hez and Savannah have a lot of opposition in this story-I think it's the most yet! Whew! It's exhausting, but all's well that ends well, right? I guess you'll have to read it to find out!
