Research abounds with information about which diet is best for healthy aging and longevity. With so much research available, I turn to experts to sort through all of it and provide me with guidance. In Paleo for Life, the authors, Dr. Loren Cordain, Trevor Connor, and Dr. Mark J. Smith, provide the science supporting the paleo diet for longevity, the specific food choices to promote longevity, as well as a 14 day meal planner and recipes to support your journey.
I liked that this book provides specific plant and animal foods to choose to support longevity. I also appreciated the links to the citations to the studies that the authors referenced in the text. The 14 day meal planner looks quite doable and recipes are included for the meals.
This book is a great resource for someone looking for guidance on how to choose foods that have been shown to increase longevity. It has current research backed information and a clear pathway to implementing the recommendations. Thank you to NetGalley and BenBella books for the opportunity to read and review this advanced reader copy. #PaleoForLife #NetGalley

As someone who has a direct blood relative suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, it has become increasingly important to me to focus on eating better and finding ways to live a healthier lifestyle. Paleo for Life was exactly what I needed. I love how the author explained everything in such a clear and approachable way - it never felt overwhelming or overly strict. The information was well-researched and presented in a way that made sense, which gave me a lot of confidence in trying to implement these changes.
I especially appreciated the 85/15 rule, as aiming to eat perfectly 100% of the time can feel daunting. This balanced approach makes the lifestyle feel much more sustainable and realistic. The attached recipes and menu plan were a wonderful bonus and I can’t wait to try them, particularly the Berry Crumble and the Mushroom Minestrone Soup.
Overall, this book is practical, encouraging, and informative - a perfect guide for anyone wanting to take steps toward a healthier way of eating without feeling overwhelmed.
Thank you to NetGalley for providing a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
