14-year-old Jack struggles after his mother’s death. After his father moves them to a remote, ancestral farm near a ghost town, it only gets worse - a haunting howl from the nearby woods terrifies Jack at night. When he searches, he finds an unnatural hole where a nest of snakes writhe together to take on frightening forms. 

Only after he meets May and June Deville, two motocross sisters, does the mystery begin to unravel. While the sisters don’t speak, they communicate through an otherworldly means. He learns a time bubble has trapped the whole Deville family. They need his help to escape. They need someone to go into the hole.

Jack wants to help, but he’s also fearful. When the girls push him into the hole, Jack must fight his way through the snake monsters and overcome his own fear to save himself and the Devilles.
