Description

Collaborator or competition? Trusted friend or backstabbing rival? Bestselling author Natalie Runion flips the script on narratives that keep us from enjoying God’s design for female friendships.

Even women in the Church often find it hard to trust―or like―other women. But when we see one another as a refuge, rather than an enemy, we can delight in God’s life-giving design for sacred sisterhood. In I Don’t Even Like Women, Natalie Runion shows us how meaningful female friendships not only foster spiritual growth, they equip women to live out their calling with boldness and joy. You’ll find yourself in these pages as Natalie:

  • Breaks down the lies that distance us from other women
  • Validates the reality of past trauma and equips us to find healing
  • Shares stories (with a good dose of humor!) that help us move beyond insecurities, fear of rejection, and the comparison game
  • Offers practical help for strengthening current relationships and building new ones

When we take apart our own false narratives and assumptions, we see that spiritually enriching, healthy friendships are essential to the Body of Christ. A refreshing recognition of how God made each of us in His image―and not only likes us but cherishes us―I Don’t Even Like Women focuses on how the unique experiences of women can unify us rather than divide us―for the good of God’s Kingdom.

Advance Praise

“I still remember how God answered me when I protested the call to minister to women, ‘But, God, I don’t like women!’ Without any pause he replied, ‘I do. I love women. I created woman as the answer to the very first problem. It was not good for the man to be alone.’ And yet women often feel isolated in the company of one another. This needs to change. In her latest book, I Don’t Even Like Women, Natalie challenges women of all ages to align with truth and stop repeating the lies. It is time to remember our why and build something beautiful and holy.”

I've been "burned" by a lot of women in my life; how does adulthood still feel like high school sometimes? And what part in that have I played? Natalie's book was enlightening and helpful to overcome obstacles that typically bring division over a comradery. It is thought provoking and allows for introspective.

Loved this from the cover to the last page. But I knew I would having followed her little black boxes on Instagram since before her first book release. Her wisdom is mind opening and her experience cues are just so real and relatable. Thank God for books like this and women like Natalie who are willing to tackle what so many of us have been hurt by but are also longing for: female friendships and relationships.

I Don't Even Like Women by Natalie Runion

Where do I even start? This book made me feel everything, longing for sacred friendship, longing for a community. I’m yearning for people who love the Lord as much as I do. It’s so hard making friends as a recent grad.

I’m in a new season of life, and this book made me reflect deeply on what I want to do next. I don’t know what the future holds, only God knows that. We just have to trust His plan, and it will work out as it’s meant to be.

This book is so powerful, and I got so much out of it. I can’t really explain it, you just have to read it for yourself. :)

Thank You NetGalley and Publisher
