Description
"Fun, fan-yourself sexy, and full of heart." - Rosie Danan, USA Today bestselling author of The Intimacy Experiment
27 Dresses meets The Intimacy Experiment in this sexy, emotional, opposites-attract rom-com set in New York City's Modern Orthodox community.
Arielle Becker is one hora away from a meltdown. After one too many bridesmaid gigs—complete with Spanx, heels, and hideous dresses—she’s officially over love and its overpriced trappings. Especially when they keep coming with the same smug, judgmental wedding singer.
Judah Klein is New York’s go-to Modern Orthodox wedding singer and most eligible bachelor. Years of failed setups have left him jaded, until repeated clashes with a fiery bridesmaid wake him right up. But when snarks turn to sparks, and fights turn to feelings, things get complicated.
Arielle is not a girl who settles down. And Judah is not a guy who hooks up. So why does walking away feel impossible?
"I came for the sexy opposites-attract romance, stayed for the joyous celebration of Jewish life and community, and fell hard for Judah, Ari, and their journey toward one another but also toward finding themselves. Soon by You somehow manages to be both sizzlingly hot and meltingly sweet at the same time; the only thing I disliked about the book was that it had to end. I can't wait for more hot Jewish romance from Dahlia Adler!" - Amanda Elliot, USA Today bestselling author of Love You a Latke
"Dahlia Adler’s Soon by You is a romance that sets itself apart. Readers are afforded a rare glimpse inside the Orthodox Jewish dating scene in a way that’s both immersive and authentic. But it’s the off-the-charts chemistry between the hero and heroine that makes this story truly shine. A little Pride and Prejudice, a little Fifty Shades of Grey, and a whole lot of Chutzpah!" - Heidi Shertok, author of Unorthodox Love

HOLY MOSES!!!!
This is my first read of a Modern Orthodox romance, and I am hooked!
Arielle Becker and Judah Klein were so fun to picture as they discovered what they really wanted in life and in a partner.
Dahlia Adler, you have got yourself a new fan! (Does loving this book make me a Kleinatic????)
I read and loved Dahlia Adler’s new adult books back when I was a new adult. I am so thrilled that she has a new book, and that the characters are still my age a decade later! Ms. Adler is a master at writing restrained men who can be completely unraveled by one woman, and this book was no exception! Romance has drifted away from this a bit, but Ms. Adler was also writing sexually experienced heroines before it was cool, and she’s kept that up in a great way too. I am not Jewish but I am interested in different religions and adored that the story is rooted in Judaism. I hope the romance genre continues to make space for these culturally rich, unique stories. I’d love to read more of them! Thank you to St. Martin’s Press and NetGalley for the ARC. This is my honest review.
This is everything I’ve come to love from Adler: it’s a warm, witty, and deeply heartfelt romance that sneaks up on you in the BEST way.
Adler captures the messiness of adulthood with remarkable clarity: stalled dreams, shifting friendships, and the quiet fear of being “behind” in life.
The emotional beats feel earned, the humour is sharp without undercutting the vulnerability, and the characters are rendered with a tenderness that makes their struggles feel achingly real.
What truly shines is the book’s emotional intelligence. It understands that love isn’t just about grand gestures; it’s about timing, growth, and learning how to show up for yourself as much as for someone else.
The voice feels contemporary and authentic, balancing introspection with charm in a way that’s both comforting and honest.
This is a beautifully written, emotionally satisfying read that stays with you! It’s perfect for anyone who loves romance grounded in real life.
Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for a temporary e-ARC!
A very unique read. I actually learned so many things about modern Orthodox Judaism in this book. I also had to take my sweatshirt off while I was reading this because it was H O T!! Did not expect that. The writing is fantastic. The first half of the book was very fast paced. The second half was a bit slower but still great overall. The chemistry between Arielle & Judah was great. I really loved the spice & the funny parts. I was sweating, I was laughing…great book!
Being Jewish myself, I was super excited to start this book and I was absolutely blown away! I love a good romance, but what's better than an average, run of the mill romance? A romance steeped in Jewish religion and culture! The love story between Arielle (a non-traditional Jew) and Judah (an Orthodox wedding singer) was so sexy and I loved all of the Jewish references throughout the book. In the past, I've read Jewish romances that felt like they were just adding Jewish facts here and there in order to be "Jewish" themed. But this book had Judaism entwined throughout the entire plot. It was amazing and I really hope Adler tries her hand at another one!

Opposites attract! Sunshine meets grumpy! A thunderstorm induced power outage that forces a sleepover!
Soon by You has all of the elements that make a great romance with the added layer of a lesson in culture.
Taking place in an Orthodox Jewish New York community, I was thankful to read this on my Kindle so I could have my Google tab at the ready. Looking up all of the terms I was unfamiliar with slowed down my pace of reading, but I also didn't want to just skip that part and miss out on the cultural experience.
Thank you, NetGalley, for the opportunity to read Soon by You in advance.

Big thanks to St. Martin’s Press for the e-ARC of Soon By You - I really liked this romance! This was a very different romance for me because it’s so deeply Jewish. I like to consider myself relatively cultured, but this tested the limits of my knowledge of Judaism in a lovely way! This follows Judah Klein - a big shot musician who hasn’t really ever felt that romantic or sexual spark with someone and generally follows Shomer Negiah (the practice of not touching someone of a different sex) - and Arielle Becker - a sex pot of a woman who finds herself in so many wedding parties and loves a quick romp. Opposites apparently attract - who can blame ya when two hot people meet, even if one is utterly infuriating to the other - but it turns into a lovely exploration of personal authenticity.
It was a really lovely read and I definitely recommend this one!

This book is Jewish Romance perfection. I honestly felt like I was reading a book about my friend group. The story follows Arielle Becker, a Modern Orthodox single living on the Upper West Side. All of her good friends are getting married, but she just wants things to stay the same. Our male main character is Judah Klein, THE premiere wedding singer in the Orthodox community who is 32 and single but has never felt a romantic spark with any girls he's been on dates with. Arielle and Judah do not get along, thanks to an incident involving a Chuppah (wedding canopy) and a high heel. But sparks definitely fly between the two. Their relationship journey is not easy but watching both Arielle and Judah grow apart and together, their HEA is definitely earned.
What I also love about this book is how Jewish it is, and just how good a job Dahlia Adler does in representing a specific subset of Jewish culture. There has been very little mainstream Jewish, and especially Modern Orthodox Judaism, representation in romances so this book is a revelation. Dahlia tackles questions about religion and practice with nuance and consideration, without judgement. And while the book is very Jewish, I feel like Dahlia has done a great job contextualizing or explaining everything so that all audiences, Jews and non-Jews alike, can read this book and understand this type of Jewish life.
I hope everyone reads this book when it comes out in May.
When I saw that Adler was coming out with a new book, I was distraught with how far the release is. Less than two hours later, I was approved for an advanced eARC on NetGalley (bless). 💙🙏 A Pre-Hanukkah blessing if there ever was one!
Everything I’ve read by Adler up until this point has been more on the YA spectrum…
…YA this book is not.
As the cover promises, this book is “sizzlingly hot and meltingly sweet.” 🥵🔥The female protagonist, Arielle, is feisty, passionate, and smart! The male protagonist is sexy, smooth, and likable (which I don’t usually feel about a male protagonist!).
But the thing that Adler does best is build a world full of characters that could easily have a book of their own. Pick up any book by Dalia Adler and be prepared to want a sequel from the same “universe”. This book was no different. I could have read an entire book another any of the minor characters, no questions asked.
I would be remiss if I didn’t applaud Adler’s ability to write a spicy, enticing story while celebrating JEWISH JOY in a world that so desperately needs it. I loved the allusions to different Jewish ideals and, despite being Jewish myself, found myself looking things up about Orthodox Judaism that even I didn’t know!
Another five star novel by the queen. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book absolutely worked for me. It’s warm, emotionally honest, and full of longing in a way that feels very true to life. I connected quickly with the characters and their hopes and uncertainties.
What I loved most was how patient the story is with feelings. It allows moments of doubt, tenderness, and connection to unfold naturally, without rushing toward resolution. It felt deeply romantic without being over-the-top.
I finished this one with a full heart. It’s a great recommendation for anyone who loves character-driven romance that focuses on timing, growth, and emotional honesty.

Once I started this book, I couldn’t stop. This book was everything I wanted in a romcom: two lovable main characters, a sexy storyline, fun side characters, and writing that made it all so wonderful. I truly loved every moment of this story.
Judah and Arielle were both so amazing. I loved how seemingly stoic but actually dorky, sweet, and loving Judah was. And Arielle was so confident and flirty, and she knew exactly what she wanted and wasn’t afraid to ask for it (or demand more from those around her). I also loved that Arielle didn’t care about her reputation.
Watching these two figure out what they wanted together and what they wanted out of life was so lovely. Seeing how Judah struggled with his religion and his feelings for Arielle, and seeing how Arielle struggled with her feelings for Judah and what she thought SHE wanted out of life and what she thought HE wanted out of life, was handled so beautifully. I adored seeing how they figured it out and finally came together. The resolution was SO worth it but the build up was even more so. I loved their storyline and their chemistry just flew off the page from their first interaction.
The romance/sex scenes were SO beautifully written. Each one was SO well done and I couldn’t wait for the next one. They were incredibly hot but also so loving; exactly what you want out of your romance scenes. I loved watching how Arielle taught Judah how to get in touch with his sexy side and how surprisingly filthy Judah was without even trying. It was so FUN watching these two during these scenes and I just loved them all to pieces.
As I said, the side characters were amazing as well. I loved Akiva and his relationship with Judah, as well as how it developed throughout the book. Liana was so fun and I loved how her and Gideon helped Judah and Arielle get together. Their relationship was so cute and I loved that they balanced each other out.
Honestly, I just loved this book so much. Dahlia Adler can truly do no wrong and I look forward to her next (adult) novel.

I flew through Soon by You. What really drew me in were the characters and how layered they were. Ari and Judah had a lot of complicated feelings to work through. I liked that Adler let the characters sit in their messy feelings instead of rushing through it. I enjoyed Ari's character. I liked that she was confident and didn't mold herself into what the community expected of her. Ari's character development was done beautifully. Watching her push for the job she wanted towards the end was rewarding. Judah was a solid MMC. Although I didn't love the moments where he thought down on Ari because of her past, I understood where he was coming from with the "good Jewish boy" pressure. I found a lot of his gestures sweet. The Lego flowers and his speeches near the end were great. I thought Ari and Judah's relationship progression was done well. I liked watching their guards come down around each other. I adored the Lego building and HGTV scenes. Both characters had their own reckonings about relationships, and I was happy when they finally got out of their own heads by the end. As for side characters, I do wish we had gotten more interactions between Ari and her coworkers. Gideon and Liana were great towards the end, especially Gideon! The writing was smooth, and the pacing was spot-on. The beginning of the book with the wedding scene was hilarious. As someone who doesn't know much about Orthodox Judaism, there were definitely moments where I had to pause and Google things. I appreciated learning more about the culture and reading Adler's note at the end. I look forward to Adler's next book. Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Griffin for the ARC.

I absolutely LOVED this take on the traditional romance novel, but in a modern Orthodox Jewish setting. Judah Klein is a nice Jewish boy, making the rounds as a wedding singer as he waits for his music career to take off and to find a women he can love. Arielle Becker is the Jewish girl who hooks up with all the guys, though she is saving one thing for marriage. When their paths collide, neither one of them expects what happens.
Such a wonderful read!I wanted to never stop reading this book, it just filled me with such warm and fuzzy feelings. I'm looking forward to reading more Dahlia Adler
.A special thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for a ARC in exchange for an honest review.
LOVE!!! What a fun and sexy romance! Not only did I have a blast reading this and adored all the characters and rooted for all of them, but I learned a lot about Modern Orthodox Judaism! As a Conservative Jew myself there’s a lot to sayings and customs that I wasn’t familiar with and loved learning about my own religion and culture in a deeper way! Now getting back to the romance — wow, Ari and Judah have such strong chemistry from the beginning and I love how their relationship evolves and how steamy things get! I’ll definitely be re-reading and recommending to all my friends!

A spicy, romance set amongst Jewish weddings. I learned a lot about the Jewish community I didn't know before reading this book and found it & the characters entertaining. I loved the dual POV and the wedding singer job of the MMC. Overall, a delightful Jewish romance for anyone who loves romance. Detailed & graphic sex scenes in case that is or isn't your thing to read.
This book swept me off my feet in the best possible way. Arielle and Judah’s story isn’t just a romance; it’s a celebration of the messy, beautiful, deeply human parts of Modern Orthodox life. I adored every page. The banter, the tension, the vulnerability—it all felt so real that I kept pausing to smile, wince, or just breathe it in.
What surprised me most was how much I learned about my own culture along the way. The traditions, the expectations, the unspoken pressures, the joy threaded through community—it all felt lovingly rendered and unexpectedly illuminating. Watching Arielle and Judah navigate their differences, their faith, and their fears made me feel seen in ways I didn’t expect.
A charming, heartfelt, culturally rich read that left me both entertained and a little more connected to where I come from.

A swoony, sexy read that doesn’t shy away from complicated questions about family, love, and self expression. A delight!

This was a very interesting book about a woman who is a modern orthodox (Jewish) version of a bridesmaid never the bride type character. It was like the movie 27 dresses. It was very funny with great supporting characters, but also had some deep feelings involved. There is a fascinating relationship between the central character and the main romantic interest. I thought some of the tension around their religious views was very interesting. The book was very refreshing to me because I read a lot of romance, but this was a very different point of view and subject matter.

Soon by You completely swept me away. I came for the opposites-attract tension and stayed for the heart, heat, and incredible sense of community woven through every page. Arielle is sharp, messy, and relatable in her burnout, while Judah is all restraint, depth, and quiet longing—and the chemistry between them absolutely crackles. Their banter is delicious, their emotional growth feels earned, and the exploration of faith, tradition, and desire adds such richness to the romance. It’s sexy without losing its soul, funny without losing its tenderness, and deeply affirming in ways that linger long after the final page.
