Phoebe and Jack are still in love, but their lives have begun to get very complicated. Phoebe has a new boss at work and he’s very good-looking. Dixon has been sent in to try to turn Hendry’s Toy Store around and keep it solvent. He and Phoebe work round the clock to save the store, her only help comes from the employee from hell, otherwise known as Midnight. At home things aren’t much better, Jack’s brother and his mother seem to be conspiring to make Phoebe’s life as unpleasant as ever. Throw in an underhanded scoundrel who wants to make Phoebe a part of his plan for a hostile takeover of the store and you have a situation coming to a boil. Can Jack and Phoebe’s relatively new romance weather the storm? Another delightful entry in this quirky series
