These were some seriously silly pandas, even before they accidentally took a nap and thought the sun disappeared. But they know how to do a lot of things and they're constantly having fun! I loved the cute, bright round pictures.

Thank you to NetGalley for the arc to this adorable book! I have a lot of memories growing up of reading children’s books, and still love to open them when i’m browsing in a bookstore. It feels especially great when every element combines perfectly. The writing, the illustration, and the story make this a good read for anyone. I was having such a good time and I was sad when it ended! Definitely will keep this on my radar for when my little cousins are looking for a new book.

My 8yr old read this book out loud and she thought: this book was silly because the handy pandas fell asleep and thought the sun disappeared, but it was night time! I like Ted’s idea when he thought the sun was pouting and they had to cheer it up so it could come out.
My 5yr old liked Andy because he wore a beach (Hawaiian) shirt.
This was such a cute rhyming book. The illustrations are adorable and vibrant, perfect for little kids to keep their attention. The book’s cover grabbed my girls’ attention because of how silly the pandas are.

This is such a cute little bedtime story. I loved that every other line rhymed with the ending words of the sentence. The illustrations were cute and I definitely think kids will love the silliness of the pandas behaviors.
Thank you to Netgalley, Jamie McMahon, and MamaBear Books for providing an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest feedback.
First of all, I LOVED the illustrations. They were bright, simple, fun, and filled with items I could play search and find with my kids. Second, the message was just great. The pandas listen to each other, respect each other, they try and the fail several times before figuring out the correct way to save the day. The writing was adorable and I loved how everything rhymed.

My seven year old liked that the pandas where having lots of fun and the end where they thought they had made the sun come up. A goofy, light-hearted story.
Such a silly (in a good way) and funny book about panda bears. I enjoyed what they did as they want to bring back the sun. The artworks is great too. Simple, bright and clean.
I love the themes of resilience and teamwork that are explored in this book! Not only that but there’s some fantastic vocabulary which the children will be exposed to and hopefully will be given the opportunity to discuss with an adult. The rhyming helped the story to flow & gave it a playful edge. A wonderful children’s story!
Such a fun, lighthearted story about problem-solving pandas! I loved the pacing, the rhyme, and the humor. The story flowed perfectly. A great pick for younger readers, full of charm and energy.

The books is fun and I loved the messaging as a mum that anything’s possible working together. The book was really well written and I loved the rhyming nature of the story and it was funny when they were searching for the Sun and the different ideas and theories they had on when it had gone. It was easy to read, follow and understand. It is 5 stars from me for this one – it is a charming children’s book with some great, positive messaging! Very highly recommended!

The Handy Pandas by Jamie McMahon
This book reminds me of the old-time cartoons of my day. It brought back some good memories.
The Handy Pandas, Andy, Mandy, Sandy and Ted are the fix it people of the town. One day when they were having fun, they fell asleep. When they awoke the sun was gone and it was dark. They tried all different ways to bring the sun back not realizing it was nighttime.
This is a cute rhyming book about teamwork and not giving up,
The illustrations are fun and active.
The book is a great book for story time or bedtime.
