So Curious by Emily Barton was such a sweet and engaging read to share with my newborn. It’s a full high-contrast book, entirely in black and white, which is exactly what our pediatrician recommended for early visual development. My baby was truly captivated by the bold images, and I loved watching her eyes follow the shapes and patterns. It’s simple, striking, and perfect for those early months.

I have only recently really delved into the high contrast books, as a new mom, and this personally has been my favorite. I loved how the words flowed answer allowed the reading to sound more sing song like than others that just have different phrases on each page. I'm looking forward to checking out more of the Emily Barton high contrast books.

This is a wonderful board book for developing infant brains! The simple black and white coloring is engaging for even the smallest of babies. There is lots of opportunity for fun noises and motions and the book is short enough to hold a little one's attention. Recommend for ages 0-2. This would be a great baby storytime book for a read aloud at the library.
