Discovery and danger go hand in hand, but the children can't stay in the cave forever. When they emerge, they find themselves in a world riddled with myth, prejudice, and dangerous power. More, they discover it's up to them to try and put the world right - even if it means losing everything.

"No, no, none of that," Fantázo responded to their speculations. "This new drama shall be the Story of Leanna Page!"

and oh boy, was it.

everyone who knows me dearly now knows about this book, and anyone who will get to know me will eventually get to know it too. i genuinely did not want this book to end once i started it, and i mean that in the most honest way possible.

the second you start reading you get immersed into this beautiful universe where magic exists, with two kingdoms and a land where fairies live. all three nations are so well thought out, and with authors descriptive writing you can eventually see yourself there with them. you slowly start to feel like youre there, walking alongside the characters, learning the world as they do. (which i think was my favorite thing about the book)

every character is written and handled with so much care, some flawed, some heroic, some a bit of both but all are necessary and are an important puzzle piece to the story. every plot point only pulls you in more, every page is a treat in itself.

this book has everything for everyone ; romance, betrayal, found family — and in my opinion the most important part, a courageous, compelling heroine in leanna. as the author has said she is the kind of character that stays with you even after you close the book, and i find that to be true.

i loved both the poetry and the prose in this book, it was such a fun time throughout. there was never a time where i felt like the story got really dragged out, and the ending of the book makes me so eager to know and read more! i cant wait to come back to pavoline and masor again as soon as i can!
