Description
“In a memorable journey of love, healing, fulfillment in one's career and family, and second chances, Aries Skye’s Love on Board is a flawlessly delivered and entertaining story that true love can weather any storm and transform lives forever.” —Yasmin Angoe, bestselling author of Her Name Is Knight and Not What She Seems
“My heart is still smiling. Love on Board captures the right note of hesitancy and uncertainty layered with the giddiness and heartwarming emotions that comes with rediscovering love after heartbreak.” — TIYE, USA Today bestselling author of Madly Driven
Aquila Richards-Oliver has the life many envy: a high-profile husband, two beautiful sons, and a seemingly perfect role as wife, mother, and big sister. But perfection comes at a steep price. When her marriage to a world-renowned chef unravels under the weight of betrayal and long-buried truths, Aquila chooses herself—for the first time in years—and begins the hard work of rebuilding her life on her own terms.
Roman Patterson has built everything but a family. At thirty-five, the successful entrepreneur has more wealth than time and more regrets than romance. Convinced love has passed him by, he reluctantly agrees to a singles cruise, expecting nothing more than cocktails and casual distractions.
What neither Roman nor Aquila expects is to find each other—on a boat in the middle of paradise.
They make a pact to enjoy the cruise as friends, but their connection is instant, and the chemistry is undeniable. As sparks fly and emotions deepen, they’re forced to face the realities waiting back on land: exes, children, broken trust, and wounds that still sting.
Can Aquila let down her guard and believe in love again? Can Roman prove he’s more than a fleeting escape? Or will the past sink the promise of something real?

This is my second book by Aries Skye, and once again, she delivered a captivating romance with just the right amount of drama! Love on Board swept me away with its mix of humor, heart, and emotional depth.
Aquila Richards-Oliver is a relatable heroine, rebuilding her life after a painful divorce, while Roman Patterson is the perfect mix of charming, guarded, and irresistible. Their chemistry on the singles cruise is electric, and I loved seeing their slow-burn connection develop against all the personal obstacles they face.
Who doesn’t love a story where romance meets drama, sparks fly, and characters get a second chance at love? This book had me smiling, swooning, and fully invested from start to finish. Aries Skye is definitely an auto-buy author for me!
I loved this book! It started off strong. Mixed in some drama, a lot of romance, family connections and secrets. I started to judge the FMC early on with her reaction to her husband’s secret, but I will say I judged too early.
This story had me clutching my pearls, giving major side eye and kicking my feet like a school girl! Definitely my favorite sister from the series. I see you character growth!
Thank you Black Odyssey media and Netgalley for this Advance Readers Copy ebook in exchange for my honest review
Thank you to Net galley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review. 4.5 stars! ROMAN ROMAN ROMAN… the man that you are!! The true definition of playing chess while they playing checkers!! I really enjoyed this series and I’m saddened that the Richard sister’s stories have come to an end but what a way to do it! This story hooked me from page 1 and didn’t let me go until the end!
Since this is the very first book, I've read by Aries Skye I did not realize that this book is a part of a series. I will go and read the other books to learn more about the other supporting characters. From the start I liked the way Roman loved Aquila from a far and always managed to take care of her in some small way. Joel was a total p.o.s and Aqulia knew the red flags from the start, and she should have never married Joel! On the other hand, she waited a little late to stand up for herself with that low down husband/ex-husband of hers. She continued to protect him at her own expense which let him manipulate their situation and make everything seem like it was her fault. I'm glad things worked out for her, and she allowed Roman to truly love her the way she deserved to be loved. The way Roman ended up handling Joel was perfection!
Love on Board by Aries Sky is a fun, flirty cruise romance with just the right touch of heat. The chemistry between the main characters pops right away, and their little momentsquick smiles, casual touches, late-night conversationsslowly build into something steamy without trying too hard. It’s an easy read with a smooth vibe, a charming hero, and a heroine who holds her own. If you like romance that feels light, warm, and a little spicy, this one is a perfect pick.
Aries Skye is on to something here. This entire series is top tier. I didn't know what I was going into with another Rome... I Loved how Aquila put herself first. Choosing yourself after betrayal while having a family is often times the hardest choice to make. Putting yourself first and choosing to love again is even harder, This was a great time and lets just say Rome wins again in my opinion.

Thank you to NetGalley & Black Odyssey Media for the advanced reader copy!
The final installment in the Love On series—and whew 😮💨 I could not wait to finally get into Big Sis Aquila. From the previous books, she definitely came off as the judgmental big sister who kept her personal life locked tight. But there were small glimpses here and there that had me curious about her backstory… and baby, Aries did NOT disappoint.
That prologue though??? 😳 Aries came out SWINGING. I already didn’t like Joel from the little bits we saw in the earlier books, but after this??? Oh, I cannot stand that man. If it’s one thing a man will always have, it’s the audacity.
This was a second-chance at love done RIGHT. Hands down my favorite book in the series.
And listen… that Reba song—
🎶 “A single mom who works too hard, who loves her kids and never stops…” 🎶
—that song immediately came to mind when I think about Angela.
She endured so much—her marriage, the divorce, a manipulative husband, and an even worse family—but despite all of that, she still got her chance at love again. And with Roman at that! 😂 I was genuinely shocked because didn’t he swear he wanted NONE of that Richard girls’ “water magic”??? 🤣🤣🤣 Look at him now.
Roman was a TRUE man. I absolutely fell in love with his character—the way he loved Angela, protected her, and stood ten toes down for her. And that mouth?? ZERO filter 😮💨 What. A. Man. 🥰🥰
I love a good sibling/family series, and Love On delivered exactly that—entertaining, funny, sweet, spicy, and filled with so much romance. A perfect way to close out the series.
Favorite quote from Roman:
“When it comes to you, I’m gonna be a rude man, the caveman, and the fucking boogeyman if necessary to make sure motherfuckers know you’re mine, on my mama.”
— Roman Patterson

I received this book as an ARC on NetGalley.
Omg I went through a range of emotions while reading this book. My heart went out to the FMC and her struggles with life after a divorce. I never wanted someone to win as bad as her. I was beyond satisfied when she got everything she deserved and more.

Review: Love on Board by Aries Skye 💕🚢
Love on Board is a beautifully written, emotionally rich second-chance romance that pulls you in from the very first page and doesn’t let go. Aries Skye delivers a story that’s equal parts healing, chemistry, and real-life love.
Aquila Richards-Oliver’s journey truly stood out to me. Watching her choose herself after betrayal, rediscover her worth, and slowly rebuild her life was powerful and relatable. Her guarded heart felt real, and every step she took toward healing was earned—not rushed.
Roman Patterson? Whew. Love-weary, successful, and convinced he missed his chance at love—yet still soft in all the right places. His vulnerability and growth throughout the story made him easy to root for, and his connection with Aquila felt natural and undeniable.
The singles cruise setting was perfect—romantic, fun, and symbolic of escape and possibility. The “just friends” pact added tension, and the chemistry between Aquila and Roman was 🔥 without overpowering the emotional depth of the story.
What I loved most was how realistic this book felt. It didn’t ignore the baggage—exes, children, trust issues, and past wounds—but instead leaned into them, showing that love doesn’t erase pain, it works through it.
This is a heartfelt, mature romance about choosing happiness, taking risks, and believing in love again—even when it’s scary.
⭐ 10/10 recommend
If you love second-chance romance, emotional depth, and characters who feel real, Love on Board is absolutely worth the ride.
**This book thoughtfully explores themes of love, attraction, and self-discovery. Some elements may be unexpected for certain readers**
Love on Board is the story of Aquila Richardson, the third of the Richardson sisters, and I was genuinely thrilled to dive into her journey. After reading Aries Skye's Love on the Ninth Floor, I've become a big fan of her storytelling. She blends sensual, steamy romance with just the right amount of drama to keep you hooked.
The book kicks off with a bang that had me rereading the opening just to make sure I caught it all. We meet Aquila in a loveless marriage, and Roman, a playboy who’s been a mutual friend due to his part-ownership in her brother-in-law’s gym. They never crossed any lines because Aquila was married and Roman respected that boundary. Plus, Aquilla never knew that Roman felt that way about her, even though everyone else in their circle could tell.
After Aquila’s marriage ends and Roman has his own share of failed romances, they both get talked into going on a singles cruise. They didn’t expect to run into each other, but they do—and the rest is history. There are plenty of bumps along the way, and I was rooting for them the entire time. The ending definitely left me in my feelings, but in the best way possible—especially with the little bonus that Aries Skye included.
Love on Board will be available nationwide wherever books are sold on January 27th. I received an advance copy via NetGalley from the publisher in exchange for an honest review, and I can wholeheartedly say it gets my stamp of approval. Happy reading!
This is the third book in the Love On series by Aries Skye, and whew—Aquila’s story hits deep.
Aquila has spent her entire life putting everyone else first, even when it cost her happiness. After her divorce, you’d think she’d finally be free—but nope. Her ex-husband is still lurking in the background, demanding she protect his family’s secrets in the name of legacy. The audacity. The nerve. The entitlement.
Just when Aquila is at her emotional breaking point, in walks a man who actually sees her. Treats her like the queen she is. Respects her. Chooses her. But after living a decade of lies and pretending, she can’t bring herself to believe that something real could exist for her. Fear has been her comfort zone for far too long.
This book is emotional, frustrating in the best way, and incredibly satisfying as Aquila slowly learns that she’s allowed to live for herself—and that real love doesn’t demand silence or sacrifice.
If you love wounded heroines, patient book boyfriends, and a journey toward self-worth with just the right amount of drama, this one belongs on your TBR.
